Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1287: Chapter 1286: Science Girl Sajou Aika?

Although Fang Zheng hasn’t watched too many Transformers movies, he still remembers the plot of the first one somewhat, and according to logic, it shouldn’t be like this. But the fact is, for reasons unknown, Megatron seems to have awakened early and took off with the AllSpark.

This is... quite interesting!

With the perspective of having traveled through so many worlds and experienced countless star voyages, he thought the Transformers movies were decent popcorn films, but if looked at from the perspective of rationality, they were quite poor. In fact, in the movies, aside from shapeshifting, Transformers are basically similar to humans; damaging their eyes makes them blind, damaging their vocal organs makes them unable to speak... How could silicon-based life be so stupid?

Look at the geth and Reapers in the Mass Effect world; now that’s real silicon-based life, blowing up their eyes and they feel pain... are you kidding me?

Since everything has been taken away, Fang Zheng no longer stayed with Aika, directly teleporting back to the hotel to rest.

Lying on the soft sofa, Fang Zheng began to contemplate what the plot of this world would become next.

According to the movie, Optimus Prime successfully destroyed the AllSpark in the first one, so in the second, the Decepticons wanted to find the device the Fallen Transformers used on Earth to create an AllSpark and tried to make another AllSpark, but fail again. Since only Optimus Prime had the AllSpark’s remnants, in the third, to awaken the defected former leader Yutiandi, they opened the Teleportation Gate to bring Cybertron to Earth, and the Decepticons initiated another series of plans. Ultimately, Optimus Prime successfully awakened Yutiandi using his power, but opened the Teleportation Gate...

And this entire series of events was based on ”only the Autobots successfully possessing the AllSpark,” but now, Megatron has taken it... So what happens next?

Obviously, the second movie plot can be ignored because both Autobots and Decepticons aim for the survival of their species. The second movie’s plan to turn Earth into an AllSpark is the Decepticons’ last resort. But now that Megatron has the AllSpark, he doesn’t need to follow the third movie’s script; he can directly wake Yutiandi on the dark side of the moon, then open the Teleportation Gate, then...

Hmm?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng was taken aback.

Is it now a direct battle between Cybertron and humanity?

Whoa, this is thrilling; there’ll be fireworks!

Remember, this world not only has Transformers but also creators and other alien races!

At this point... shouldn’t there be a swarm?

”Father Master.”

While Fang Zheng was pondering, he suddenly felt his sleeves being tugged. Turning, he saw Aika sitting beside him, watching him.

”Hmm? What’s up?”

”I still don’t understand...”

”Don’t understand?”

”Why my magecraft failed? Clearly, they were ordinary humans, and I didn’t feel any aura of magecraft or barriers, so they shouldn’t have detected me, right?”

This problem had troubled Aika the whole way, and she couldn’t understand how they managed it. Yet, alongside the frustration came a newfound freshness and excitement that Aika had never experienced before!

How exactly was it done?

”They’re not using magecraft, but technology.”

”Technology?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Aika tilted her head curiously, puzzled as she looked at him — although she was connected to the Origin, her understanding of technology was about the same as other magicians’, or rather, precisely because she was connected to the Origin, Aika paid no heed to technology at all.

”Exactly, your suggestion magecraft is perfect, but the problem is it can only affect living things and not non-living entities like cameras, photo equipment, or even infrared sensors. They don’t require a brain, have no life, and no soul, so your magecraft can’t affect them, nor deceive them.”

”Is technology that powerful?”

Hearing this, Aika opened her eyes in surprise.

”But, other magicians don’t seem to like technology.”

”Technology explores the world in another way, it’s different from magecraft but ultimately reaches the same end. If magecraft represents the pinnacle on a personal level, then technology is characterized by universality.”

Speaking of this, Fang Zheng reached out and patted Aika’s head.

”Just like your suggestion magecraft, cast by you and cast by Ayaka, it would have different power levels.”

”Of course, because my sister is just an ordinary child.”

At this point, Aika seemed a bit proud, but soon after, Fang Zheng continued.

”However, in the face of technology, this makes no difference. She might not see through your magecraft, but with technology’s help, she could see through the suggestion’s effects, like those soldiers who don’t need to break your magecraft, just follow orders... After all, you have no way to block bullets in this world.”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Aika’s brow furrowed; clearly, although the defeat felt new to her, it didn’t mean she would calmly accept it.

”So... are Transformers products of technology too?”

”They should be, though I haven’t researched it.”

Fang Zheng remembered reading somewhere that Transformers were created species, much like the Quillans creating the geth. As for whether they have souls, that’s a real question.

Fang Zheng just couldn’t be bothered to care.

But Aika seemed very interested.

”Father Master.”

But at this moment, Aika focused on Fang Zheng and then spoke up.

”I want to learn about technology.”

”There’s certainly no problem, but... why the sudden interest in technology? What about your magecraft?”

”I’m not interested in magecraft itself.”

Aika was quite calm; in fact, as she said, what all magicians in the Type Moon world strive for is something she was born with. From Aika’s perspective, the Origin isn’t something worth her attention or energy.

But technology is different!

The very fact that technology can surpass magecraft is enough to make Aika interested in it.

”Of course, no problem, here’s what we’ll do...”

”Boom!!!”

However, before Fang Zheng could finish, a deafening explosion sounded outside, startling Ayaka, who was asleep on the bed, prompting her to jump up in surprise and look around. Meanwhile, Fang Zheng frowned and walked to the window with Aika to look outside.

Next, Fang Zheng saw several comet-like figures descend from the sky, creating explosions upon explosions in the nearby city.

It seems Megatron’s plan has already begun.
