Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1290: Chapter 1289: Nightmare

For the humans on the ground, the speed of the reversal in front of them was almost incomprehensible, and they were unable to adapt.

Just now, they were considering how to combat those Alien Robots, but now, a terrifying and powerful creature has appeared to battle against those robots?

Could it be that these fearsome bugs are actually benevolent?

Unfortunately, they quickly realized they were wrong.

Because those Swarm had already reached them, and then... launched an attack.

When the Jumping Bug leapt up and pinned a Soldier to the ground, tearing him into Fragments, only then did everyone realize in horror that these creatures from the sky were not Angels, but Demons!!

”Mr. President, we must evacuate immediately, quickly enter the shelter!”

Looking at the Swarm coming from all directions, the Minister of Defense felt his scalp tingling, even facing those Alien Robots did not give him such a feeling. But these bugs gathered together, like an endless tide, mercilessly devouring everything. Human resistance was absolutely meaningless against them, even ordinary bullets couldn’t penetrate their shells!

They are even more terrifying than those Alien Robots!!

You know, those Alien Robots are not invincible. They can also be harmed, and will dodge when hit by bullets. Simply put, besides being a little larger and able to Shapeshift, there is no difference between them and ordinary life forms. The reason humans can’t win now is simply because the opponents’ weapons are too advanced, but they have enough confidence that as long as they can hold on, they will eventually defeat these Alien Robots.

However... those bugs are completely different!

The Minister of Defense saw with his own eyes his Soldiers operate a heavy machine gun to sweep at those bugs, even launching grenades at them. Normally, even those Alien Robots couldn’t withstand such an attack. But bullets were completely ineffective against those bugs, and even grenade explosions couldn’t stop their march.

What’s even scarier is the number of these bugs... enough to number in the millions!!

The Minister of Defense didn’t want to imagine what this represented, all he could do now was to first get Mr. President and the remaining people to a safe place, then discuss the matter. Fortunately, to prevent and avoid the threat of nuclear war, shelters have been built all over America, and now, they had only this option left!

No one hesitated, soon, under the protection of a group of fully armed Soldiers, the President and others quickly rushed into the tunnel and entered the shelter. However, the Swarm reacted swiftly, and soon a part of the Jumping Bugs followed these people into the tunnel. Although the Soldiers desperately resisted, their resistance was to no avail before the Swarm.

”Quick, close the doors, close the Daimon!!”

Rushing into the shelter, the Minister of Defense loudly issued orders, immediately a Soldier smashed the glass and pressed the closure button. Subsequently, the heavy doors slowly dropped, but at the moment everyone saw those terrifying bugs appear on the other side of the passage, discovering these enemies, they frantically rushed towards them.

”Quick, quick!”

Seeing the Swarm rushing from outside, the President and others inside were extremely tense, they even took up weapons proactively, firing outside in attempts to stop the bugs’ advance. However, their efforts were futile, the Swarm’s speed was incredibly fast, but ultimately...

”Boom!!”

Just before the bugs could burst into the shelter, the heavy Slam shut, dividing the inside and outside into two worlds.

”Phew...”

Only then did everyone breathe a sigh of relief. They looked at each other, their eyes revealing relief at surviving such disaster and confusion.

Next... what should we do?

This world, this planet... is it still our home?

No one noticed, at this moment, outside the shelter’s Daimon, the Swarm lingered for a moment, continuously trying to breach this heavy door, but all attempts ended in failure. Soon, these Jumping Bugs appeared to receive some command to quickly retreat, replaced by some Pitch Black figures silently appearing like Grim Reapers in the shadows, and the next moment, they blended into the shadow, disappearing without a trace.

The battle continues.

Those humans on the ground have no chance of surviving.

As Fang Zheng thought, they even now believe that dying at the hands of those Alien Robots would be a kind of mercy!

”Child, hide, don’t come out!!”

A woman hid her child in a narrow ventilation duct, then smiled at him.

”Wait, mom will come to get you!”

”Mom...”

Looking at his mother, the boy touched his dusty face and reached out towards her. But the next moment, the woman closed the ventilation duct door, followed soon by the screams of the Swarm and the woman’s roar from outside.

”Come, you Creatures!”

”Da da da!!!”

Soon, the sound of gunfire rang out, then followed by screams, and then everything vanished.

Unaware of how much time passed, all around only Deathly Silence remained.

”Mom... mom...”

At this moment, the boy couldn’t even cry, he carefully pushed open the door and stepped out, looking around. But he didn’t see his mother, only a blood-stained gun thrown on the ground, and bloodstains in the distance. The boy looked around in chaos, and at this moment, he seemed to hear a sound from above.

When the boy turned to look upwards, a Jumping Bug leapt down, its sharp claws tearing the boy’s body apart.

”Ahhhhh!!”

Accompanied by screams, the Swarm rushed in and swiftly covered everything around.

Power is growing.

Fang Zheng stood at the top of the skyscraper, overlooking everything outside. The Swarm was rapidly occupying this city, and he could feel that these powers, whether from the Transformers or those human souls, being gathered like fallen leaves by hounds, burning gradually, transforming into the power of a Deity.

Unfortunately, the quantity was too little.

Fang Zheng was not unprepared for this, considering according to mobile games, his level should be anywhere between Level 60 to Level Eighty. Generally, the dog food from a beginner Instance could only raise a ”character” to Level Ten or Level Twenty, Fang Zheng wanted to max out and break through the job advancement needed the dog food from the highest-level Instances.

But now... even a small mosquito is meat, at least it’s growing hourly.

Seeing his Divine Domain’s maintenance time increase again, Fang Zheng somewhat breathed a sigh of relief.

At this moment, Aika’s voice rang in Fang Zheng’s ears again.

”Master, look, I finished the BOSS battle!”

With this voice, Aika once again jogged to Fang Zheng’s side, she glanced outside, then regained her focus. To Aika, there was no need to care about the Swarm outside, she was more concerned if her game design was actually completed...

”Really? Then let me play it.”

Upon hearing Aika’s words, Fang Zheng looked away, this simple dog food Instance he could leave to the Swarm for a free win. Next, let’s see Aika’s BOSS battle...

”Boom!!”

The dull alarm sounded again.

At the same time, Aika’s face finally showed a trace of... fear.
