Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1295: Chapter 1294: I Never Said I Was Here to Steal

Finding Stephen Strange’s house wasn’t difficult; it barely took any time before Fang Zheng drove up to his door. From the outside, it was obvious that this was a fairly wealthy middle-class American home. But for Fang Zheng... they all pretty much looked the same.

Getting out of the car, Fang Zheng adjusted his clothes, then walked up the steps and pressed the doorbell.

”Ding dong.”

Accompanied by the doorbell sound, a black-haired man opened the door and looked at Fang Zheng.

”May I help you?”

”I’m looking for Dr. Stephen Strange.”

Looking at the black-haired man in front of him, Fang Zheng smiled slightly.

”It’s urgent.”

”Is it a medical consultation? Sorry, do you have an appointment...?”

However, before the black-haired man could finish his sentence, Fang Zheng had already extended a hand, placing it on his chest. The next moment, the black-haired man grunted, flying backward inside. Without hesitation, Fang Zheng strode into the house, and behind him, the door slammed shut, separating the world inside from outside.

”You... you are...”

Lying on the steps, the black-haired man widened his eyes, glaring at Fang Zheng, trying to say something. But Fang Zheng merely glanced at him.

”If I were you, I wouldn’t be asking such a stupid question.”

However, before Fang Zheng’s words finished, a voice suddenly interrupted him.

”Indeed, because it’s obvious you’re the enemy!”

With this sentence, Fang Zheng saw a fiery long whip materialize and lash toward him. Facing the oncoming attack, he neither dodged nor blocked, only standing with his hands behind his back. As the flaming whip was about to hit Fang Zheng, an invisible magic barrier instantly activated, neutralizing its strong magic power.

Advanced Spell Anti-Magic Barrier.

Fang Zheng stretched out his hand, brushing the dust off his shoulder, then looked up at a figure descending slowly from the second-floor balcony. The person wore a robe-like a mage, a red cloak on his back, and a ring of curly hair hanging down his forehead, strikingly noticeable.

”Are you Dr. Stephen Strange?”

”That’s right, so what do you want with me? Judging by your appearance, it doesn’t seem you’re here for a medical consultation, right?”

”Of course not. The fact is... I’m here to take the Time Gem.”

”........”

Hearing this, Strange’s face suddenly darkened.

”What do you want to do with it?”

”That’s none of your business. I’m just here to let you know.”

”Hmph, if you plan to take the Time Gem from me, let’s see if you have the capability!”

Facing Fang Zheng’s words, Strange roared angrily, immediately spreading his hands open, and in the next moment, Fang Zheng saw two orange magic circles appear in Strange’s palms.

”Magic circles, such things are only played by magical girls, you’re quite old, Mr. Strange.”

Watching this scene, Fang Zheng shook his head, and simultaneously, several magic runes flickered in front of him. Subsequently, dozens of magic missiles appeared out of thin air, bombarding Strange. Seeing these incoming magic missiles, Strange’s expression changed slightly. He hastily extended his hand, and quickly, with his movement, the magic circle instantly rotated and enlarged. Yet at that moment, Fang Zheng extended his hand, lightly pointing at Strange.

A dark ray suddenly shot from his fingertip, striking Strange’s magic barrier. In the next instant, the magic barrier in Strange’s hand shattered completely!

Advanced Magic Dispel!

”What?!”

Strange clearly did not expect his magic to be directly dispelled by the opponent. Before he could react, the whistling magic missiles had already struck him, accompanied by a series of painful cries, sending Strange flying into the air and crashing heavily to the ground.

”Pfft...!”

At this moment, Strange was no longer his former debonair self; his face was bruised and swollen, looking like someone punched him senseless in a burlap sack. Meanwhile, Fang Zheng, still with his hands behind his back, slowly walked up to him.

”I hope to resolve this peacefully, Mr. Strange.”

”But I beg to differ...”

Glaring at Fang Zheng, Strange spoke coldly, then exchanged a glance with the black-haired man beside him and suddenly reached out his hand, pressing it on the ground!

”...........”

However, nothing happened.

”Oh, perhaps I forgot to inform you, before entering here, I already cast a Dimensional Anchor, completely sealing the space. So here, you won’t be able to cast any spell for teleportation or space transfer.”

Perhaps reminded by Fang Zheng’s words, the two immediately leaped up, charging toward Fang Zheng without hesitation. Yet as they jumped, a flash of lightning arced down from the sky, striking them heavily.

”Ahhhhh!!!”

Amid the screams, the two instantly flopped on the ground like twitching fish, struggling continuously.

”I said, I wish to resolve this peacefully.”

Fang Zheng retracted the right hand that had just released the arc of lightning, coming once more before the two.

”Please stay calm, to be frank, I don’t particularly enjoy harming the innocent. But if you continue to resist... then who knows.”

”Okay... okay... I see, I see...”

At this moment, Strange had completely changed his attitude. His hair stood up, and his face was pitch black. Looking at Fang Zheng, he hastily raised his hand, made a gesture, and soon, as Strange moved, the necklace on his chest slowly rotated open, revealing the green gemstone inside.

”The Time Gem is here, but if you kill me, you’ll never get this stone!”

”Haah...”

However, contrary to Strange’s expectations, Fang Zheng simply stared at him, then shook his head and sighed.

”Mr. Strange, I think you misunderstand.”

”Mis... misunderstands?”

”That’s right.”

Facing Strange’s surprised inquiry, Fang Zheng nodded.

”I initially said that I came to inform you that I would take the Time Gem, but I never mentioned I was going to take it from you.”

”What, what do you mean?”

Hearing this, Strange’s eyes narrowed slightly, while Fang Zheng smiled, stretching out his hand.

”Because the Time Gem is right here; all I need to do is take it.”

As Fang Zheng moved, the space in front of him began to ripple slowly, and then, his fingers reached out, and as if performing magic, he pulled out a small gemstone emitting a green radiance from the empty void.

Seeing this, Strange’s expression changed drastically.

”How did you...?”

”Hiding the Time Gem in a time rift is indeed a clever idea, but unfortunately... not everyone falls for it.”

Admiring the Time Gem in his hand, Fang Zheng involuntarily shook his head. What a joke, he was a Time Dragon. Manipulating time was his forte. For others, locating the Time Gem might be impossible in a lifetime, but for Fang Zheng, from the moment he entered, the Time Gem was like a piece of fruit placed in the living room; he could take it whenever he wanted.

”Well then, I bid you farewell.”

After acquiring the Time Gem, Fang Zheng nodded politely to the two, and in the next moment, he vanished before Strange or Wang could react.

”......”

Seeing this, Strange and Wang exchanged looks in silence. After a moment, Wang finally spoke.

”What should we do now?”

”How should I know...”

At this moment, Strange felt completely defeated. He never anticipated that the Time Gem he hid so well would be taken so easily?!

Speaking of which, who on earth was that guy?!

”Boom!!”

Yet before Strange could figure out this question, suddenly, with a thundering boom, the next second, a massive entity fell from the sky, crashing through the ceiling and the staircase, landing inside Strange’s home. At this, the two quickly jumped up to check, and upon seeing the massive object that descended from the sky, they were utterly shocked.

”Is that... Hulk?”
