Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1291: Chapter 1290: The First, the Second, the Third...

For the humans of this world, this period was simply torturous.

Just yesterday, they were still trembling as they looked up at the terrifying steel giant above, immersed in the fear of imminent invasion and domination by alien robots. But in just a few days, the situation had clearly changed. Another Swarm Army appeared out of nowhere and began a battle with those alien robots. The alien robots were retreating in front of the Swarm Army, with no ability to fight back!

This also scared other countries quite a bit. After all, just dealing with those alien robots had already left them exhausted. Now, if there’s another space swarm, what if their goal is also to conquer Earth?

However, just when people from various countries were in panic, they were surprised to find that these horrifying bugs seemed to have no interest in other areas. Their target appeared to be only the North American continent. They didn’t seem to have any intention, as people feared, to blossom everywhere and completely conquer the entire Earth.

This made other countries breathe a sigh of relief more or less. Although they didn’t know why these alien swarms came here, at least it seemed... they didn’t appear to be here for an invasion.

As for America... hehe, well, it’s a case of ”better you than me”. Anyway, we’ve always been separated by oceans, we couldn’t help even if we wanted to, right?

By rights, Fang Zheng could just start burning it down now, but he didn’t, for a very simple reason.

After traveling across so many worlds, Fang Zheng had summarized a few rules, one of which was that if he wanted to burn something, he must first deal with a few key characters.

Otherwise, if Fang Zheng directly triggers an AOE, it would harm the core of this world, unless he was determined to destroy it, which certainly was not worth it. Although Fang Zheng didn’t care about the life and death of Americans, he was somewhat concerned about the lives of people in other parts of the Earth.

Of course, the life and death of Americans were not included in this.

Based on his experiences from crossing multiple dimensions, if Fang Zheng wants to burn down Cybertron with fire, he must first eliminate a few key protagonists in this world, breaking the protection of the world’s core power before burning it. If Fang Zheng remembers correctly, then the main characters of the Transformers world are Optimus Prime and Megatron, and perhaps another human... what’s his name again? Fang Zheng forgot too.

Anyway, it should mainly be these three characters. Megatron is easy to find; he’s currently over in New York ruling the Decepticons. However, he had no clue where Optimus Prime was. Initially, Fang Zheng thought that following the movie plot, he should have already met Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, yet the Autobot faction hadn’t appeared yet, leaving him puzzled.

Thus, puzzled and with no clue, Fang Zheng had to directly pull out ”Ratziel” to investigate, only to be surprised to discover that Optimus Prime actually took the protagonists and went to Egypt!

Why did they go to Egypt?

Fang Zheng was completely baffled. According to the plot of the second movie, going to Egypt to activate that device capable of creating Fire Seed Source was a choice the Decepticons made when they couldn’t obtain the Fire Seed Source, but now that the Fire Seed Source is in the hands of the Decepticons, why is it Optimus Prime who’s going to activate the device?

So this time, is it Optimus Prime who wants to destroy the Earth?

What on earth is going on with this plot twist??

Fortunately, after investigating through ”Ratziel”, Fang Zheng finally understood that Optimus Prime and the protagonists didn’t go to Egypt for that device, but to search for the Energy Matrix. In any case, even after watching the movie, Fang Zheng hadn’t figured out the exact relationship between the Fire Seed Source and the Energy Matrix.

But whatever, as long as he knows where they are next, he should take action himself... That was what Fang Zheng had planned.

But to his surprise, it was at this moment that Aika, upon hearing it, volunteered.

”Father, leave it to me.”

”Leave it to you?”

Hearing Aika speak, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but be stunned.

”Aren’t you busy developing a game?”

”Well...”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Aika had a few hints of embarrassment on her face.

”That... I want to go out and relax...”

Saying this, Aika also bowed her head, looking a bit listless. Seeing her like this, Fang Zheng also nodded. Clearly, his ”education” had taken effect.

To be honest, Fang Zheng also had a hard time deciding on how to educate Sajou Aika, and in the end, chose this direction. In Fang Zheng’s view, the reason why Sajou Aika was so reckless is that in the Magic Domain, she could bulldoze everything. Because of this, the supposed taboos and rules referred to by mages had absolutely no effect on her.

While magicians were desperately fighting, even to the point of fratricidal conflict to obtain the Holy Grail, Sajou Aika could yawn and easily achieve soul materialization.

While magicians would give up everything to pursue the Origin and Truth, Sajou Aika could wave her hand and play with time and space as she pleased.

Fang Zheng still remembers how Aoko Aozaki kept dying over and over again in Boundary of the Sky to reach the perfect Origin state, yet what she pursued wasn’t as meaningful to Sajou Aika as afternoon tea, something she could achieve with a sneeze.

In such a context, Sajou Aika was naturally uninhibited and unscrupulous because the so-called rules and regulations of mages meant nothing to her, and what they pursued was worthless in her eyes. Frankly, regarding everything in the magecraft domain, even if tracing it back to the Age of Gods, Sajou Aika could easily bulldoze it all at once.

Contracts, rules, skills—none were needed, just a direct slap!

However, programming is different.

Every code, every program, every item has its standard definition, and the point where it should error, not even Future Sight can change it. The point where it should exit, no matter how many parallel worlds you traverse, makes no difference. Programming isn’t magic nor magecraft; it doesn’t change based on the subjective definitions of the caster. It means what it means, has the effects it should have, regardless of whether you go back thousands of years or fast forward thousands of years.

This was a very novel experience for Aika.

She greatly enjoyed this experience, much like a player using a high-spec PC to play Minecraft—despite a setup capable of handling full graphics on Crysis without a hitch, Minecraft’s simple blocks nonetheless offered an immersive experience due to its limited creativity.

She could unabashedly create one world after another inside the computer. More importantly, according to Fang Zheng, she could showcase these worlds to others and receive their evaluations. This Aika particularly valued, as in the Type Moon World, no matter what she did, she could achieve perfection, sometimes merely standing there made others see her as the predetermined champion.

Such a lack of challenge was incredibly boring for Aika.

But even so, for Aika, the constant appearance of bugs, fixing them, then encountering new bugs was still... umm... let’s say everyone knows that feeling.

”I want to go out and clear my mind, is that alright, Father?”

”Of course.”

Fang Zheng naturally nodded and agreed to Aika’s request.

After all, a programmer can’t stay cooped up in a room all day, right?
