Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1281: Chapter 1280: Build Tall Walls, Amass Grain, Delay Proclaiming Wang

”Education... is it?”

”That’s right.”

Looking at Fiore in front of him, Fang Zheng nodded.

”You’ve already felt the power of being a Magical Girl, haven’t you? This power is not much inferior to that of a magician, and becoming a Magical Girl is much more convenient than becoming a magician, which can meet our needs.”

”But, in this way... isn’t it hard to manage?”

”I understand your concerns, but not just anyone can become a Magical Girl.”

Fang Zheng certainly understood Fiore’s thoughts. In fact, he highly appreciated Fiore because, in the Type Moon World, Fiore was the most normal-minded magician Fang Zheng had ever met.

In this aspect, even Tohsaka Rin couldn’t match her. Although Tohsaka Rin behaved normally on the surface, she still harbored the thought of ”because I am a magician, killing is unavoidable” deep down. This means that while Tohsaka Rin usually tries to avoid killing, if she finds it necessary to solve a situation with murder, she won’t hold back.

On the contrary, Fiore put on a show of being a competent magician, but in reality, she was very resistant to killing and was more concerned with moral issues than the average magician.

”Only girls who are kind-hearted and strong-willed are qualified to become Magical Girls, so you can’t just activate a Magitech Device on anyone. Our job is to find them, cultivate them, guide them, protect them, and then stand together with them.”

”But... how to do this?”

”Very simple.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng extended a finger.

”Designated Seal.”

”Ah...”

Hearing this, Fiore’s eyes widened.

”You mean...”

”That’s right, we can’t force those Magical Girls to face the Mage’s Association with us, so we need to have shared interests and goals. I don’t think anyone would quietly accept the designated seal of the Mage’s Association, and if they become a Magical Girl, their previously uncontrollable powers can be brought under control. This is a very convenient and win-win option. I’ve already scouted, and Japan’s Kanbu City is a great relocation spot. The World Tree of a Thousand Realms’ base can be established on the spirit vein in the suburbs of Kanbu City, and my suggestion is to acquire one or several girls’ schools...”

At this point, Fang Zheng sighed. He initially hoped to go to Fuyuki City, but after an on-site inspection, Fang Zheng helplessly discovered that Fuyuki City’s spirit vein did not meet their needs. Spirit veins have unique properties, and Fuyuki City’s is related to Summoning, which is somewhat useful for the Holy Grail War, but otherwise not significant.

Not to mention, after the Holy Grail War decades ago, the spirit vein in Fuyuki suffered devastating damage when the Greater Holy Grail was forcefully excavated. Now, Fang Zheng couldn’t even look at the remaining fragments.

”Build strong walls, gather ample food, and bide your time to proclaim kingship.”

Fang Zheng set the development tone for Fiore and the World Tree of a Thousand Realms.

”First, we need to gather girls with unique powers in Japan who might face a designated seal and protect, guide, and train them. We must first ensure within our influence that no idiots from the Sanctuary Church or the Mage’s Association appear. Once we have enough power, we can start from there to gradually erode the influence of the Mage’s Association.”

Fang Zheng did not intend to directly announce ”The Blue Heaven is dead, the Yellow Heaven shall rise” because the blowback would be too significant, and the old magic noble families wouldn’t surrender so easily, likely launching a frenzied counterattack. Therefore, Fang Zheng chose designated seals as an entry point. Coupled with the battles of the Magical Girls, he would present a new power to these magicians that was no less than that of the world’s magicians.

Let them know that history is progressing, and going against the tide only leads to a dead end.

”Here is a list I’ve compiled; you can try to get in touch with them. Most of them possess unique powers. Finding them and inviting them to join us is your next task.”

”Okay, Lord Fang Zheng.”

While speaking, Fiore took the list from Fang Zheng and began to carefully look through it.

The list started with rank A qualified individuals, including Fujo Kirie, Wujing Amber, Wujing Jade, and Asakami Fujino. Next, in the rank B list, there were Toyono Akiha and Tohsaka Sakura... and in the rank C list, there were names like Kurotou Hana and Seo Shizune.

”Those on the A list are priority rescue targets. They are currently suffering for various reasons, with some even being orphans. You can contact them on behalf of the World Tree family; if possible, adopting them is the best choice. Those on the B list possess strong powers but have no major issues for now, so focus on contact and observation. Those on the C list have potential powers that haven’t awakened yet, so just invite them to attend the school whenever possible.”

”Understood, Lord Fang Zheng.”

Listening to this, Fiore nodded and then turned her gaze back to the list in Fang Zheng’s hand.

”Um... there’s one more list...”

”I will personally contact the people on this list.”

Looking at the names on the list, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly. Strictly speaking, he didn’t want to be involved, but after finding these names in ”Ratziel” and realizing their secrets, Fang Zheng found that he had no choice but to get involved.

”I’ll leave the matter of finding teachers to you, Fiore. I think you should understand that the World Tree today is no longer part of those magicians; we don’t need to act according to their rules. We need teachers with common sense, morals, and values, who will lead these children down the right path rather than pursuing the Origin at all costs.”

”I understand.”

Fiore nodded solemnly, and as she had already become a Magical Girl, she naturally understood how terrifying it would be if a Magical Girl’s power fell into the wrong hands.

If these kids aren’t guided down the right path, the World Tree might destroy itself before it takes down the Mage’s Association.

”Oh, and I almost forgot one thing.”

After entrusting all these tasks, Fang Zheng turned to leave, seemingly remembering something mid-step and smacked his forehead. Then he reached into his cloak, pulled out a Master Ball, and tossed it to the ground.

”Come out, Growlithe!”

Following Fang Zheng’s call, the Master Ball opened with a pop, and a Golden Wolf appeared in front of Fiore.

”Lord, Lord Fang Zheng, this is...”

Fiore was dumbfounded, staring at the Golden Wolf with her mouth agape and unable to speak. As a magician, Fiore certainly knew what this was—this was a Fantasy Species!

A Fantasy Species long thought extinct in legends!

”I brought this guy back previously and forgot to release it. Since I don’t have a use for it, I’ll leave it to you.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng patted the Golden Wolf’s head, which whined pitifully—a justified reaction, considering that Fang Zheng discovered the Golden Wolf almost died of starvation due to long-term neglect when he finally released it. Thankfully, it was a Fantasy Species; otherwise, it would already be a dead wolf!

”Leave it to me?”

Fiore was gobsmacked at Fang Zheng’s words. This was a Fantasy Species, and a Golden Wolf at that!! It’s not just any pet, and he’s leaving it to me?

”That’s right, I leave it to you.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng again patted the Golden Wolf’s head.

”Be obedient, or I’ll make wolf meat stew out of you!”

”Whimper...”

Hearing this, the Golden Wolf obediently crouched on the ground, covering its head with its front paws, whimpering...

Seeing this, Fiore had no idea what to say.
