Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1096: Chapter 657: Countering with a Counter (Part 2)

Boom!

A loud bang was heard.

Dark violet light waves surged to the sky, accompanied by a piercing screech, exploding like fireworks into numerous swift arrows falling toward the rapidly moving Dragapult!

Whoosh whoosh whoosh—

Eagle-like cries echoed in the air.

Thanks to Flygon’s masterful energy manipulation, not a single meteor hit Tornadus, the narrow eye of the storm making the arrows denser and even harder to evade!

Hit it!

Flygon watched the meteor light arrows expectantly, ready to fly out for a second strike.

”Hee-ya! Hee-ya!”

The cries of the Dreepy siblings forced Dragapult to glance upward, a single look making its whole body feel like being pricked by needles, its expression drastically changing in shock.

The meteor shower was too dense!

No choice—

With determined eyes, white light emanated from its body, not retreating but boldly facing the falling meteor shower.

Since both use Lightning Flash, if Flygon can dodge, so can it!

”Waddles!”

Outside the Tornadus.

The Meteor People similarly witnessed countless dark violet meteors shining brilliantly, curious about what was happening inside.

Which side was using this meteor shower technique?

Judging by the faint song coming through the sandstorm, it wasn’t hard to tell Flygon was in a prime state.

The next moment.

Boom!! Boom!! Boom!!

Deafening explosions sounded continuously.

From top to bottom, countless dark violet and black intertwined flares appeared in the sandstorm, the strong shockwave even scattering parts of the high wall-like Tornadus, while scattered sands regrouped after a few seconds under the wind’s rotation.

Everyone could see that the Tornadus was gradually weakening.

Through this, they spotted Flygon flapping its wings inside.

Huh?

If it’s here, doesn’t that mean Dragapult was the one under attack?

Everyone instinctively looked at Baimu, whose expression didn’t change as he looked up to the top of the Tornadus. When they followed suit, they surprisingly saw Dragapult’s figure.

Smoke rose from its left side, seemingly not entirely intact.

But it successfully dodged!

No time to ponder how Dragapult avoided the meteor shower, Baimu suddenly made a gesture upward.

”Waddles!”

High above, a cross-shaped red glow lit up before Dragapult, followed by boiling dark violet energy gathering at its forehead.

It gazed down at the shrinking Tornadus and strained to look upward!

Twee—

A shrill screech sounded as dragon attribute energy distorted the nearby space, flying higher up before blooming like flowers into light arrows rapidly descending!

However, unlike a typical meteor shower.

These meteor light arrows pierced through the sand with ease, like homing missiles chasing after the wing-beating and evading Flygon!

”Lai-wo!”

A beautiful female voice continuously rang out, then grew urgent.

”It’s locked on!”

A Dragon Tamer exclaimed in surprise.

Normal meteor showers definitely don’t have tracking capability; overwhelming power and wide-area coverage is the base function of this technique.

So it was easy to judge what the cross-shaped star in Dragapult’s eye was.

Seeing this, Genji shouted in a deep voice:

”Use Steel Wings to smash them!”

The sound of wind and singing was loud, but it didn’t seem to prevent Flygon from receiving his command.

Buzz!

A faint buzz as the blurred vibrating Double Wings glowed silver, Flygon pursued by numerous meteor light arrows, abruptly turned, swinging its Double Wings to strike the incoming dark violet light arrows!

Steel Attribute Energy was like a steel shield, every light arrow hitting it with a metallic clink, like ping-pong balls being batted back.

Boom boom boom!

The ground exploded with patches of dark violet energy waves, the violent impact further dispersing the flying sand in the field, and the wind sound slowly ceased.

The Sandstorm and Quicksand Hell combined skill had ended!

Flygon instantly understood the reason for Dragapult’s attack, fully aware its attacks wouldn’t cease.

”Lai-wo!”

Indeed.

As it flung all meteor light arrows away, a tingling sensation suddenly came from behind.

”Dragon Tail!”

At Genji’s voice, Flygon unhesitatingly swung its long, emerald-covered tail, sharply feeling pain from behind, then the tail struck something with a muffled thud.

It quickly turned around.

Seeing at once its tail collided with Dragapult’s fading-to-white tail.

Behind it was a swirling black mist.

Hidden Spirit Strike!

Flygon and Genji, having traveled far and wide, battled countless Pokémon, instantly recognized the technique the opponent used.

No wonder it appeared so quickly and stealthily behind!

”Lai-wo!”

Flygon swiftly turned around, about to attack, but the opponent vanished from the spot.

Invisibility?

It’s least afraid of invisibility!

Buzz!!

Invisible ripples spread out as Flygon frantically flapped its wings, locking onto the opponent’s location at once—

Behind it!

”Dragon Arrow!”

”Lightning Flash to dodge!”

Two commands nearly simultaneous.

Hearing the explosion and screeches from behind, Flygon unhesitatingly transformed into white light, flying forward, its astonishing burst speed mesmerizing many Meteor People.

Echolocation?

Baimu watched Flygon’s divine speed-like Lightning Flash, and the two Dreepy crazily chasing it covered in azure light, aware Dragapult’s invisibility only made it translucent, not a true ghost disappearing into thin air.
