Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1072: Chapter 646: Super Multiplier 2

Mei Yali spoke: ”There’s no Pokémon Center in the town; usually, my great-grandfather and the others help with healing injured Pokémon.”

I see.

Baimu nodded, understanding the situation well. It’s normal for settlements of long-standing minority groups like the Meteor People or the Valley of Creation to not have a Pokémon Center.

They themselves have the means to handle illnesses and injuries.

”Is there a battlefield nearby?”

He asked Balza, looking at the excited Kepu and Pete, and laughed: ”If you don’t mind, let’s have a battle right now!”

The more battles he has, the faster the simulator’s cooldown. Baimu isn’t a battle maniac, but he wants to have as many opportunities to battle as possible.

Switching gears.

The group arrived at an open area in the town, where there was a relatively simplistic Pokeball center circle and boundary line drawn with chalk on the ground.

Balza whispered: ”We just finished the tournament yesterday. Is it alright not to let them rest today?”

”Don’t worry, I will use Pokémon that haven’t seen much action.”

Baimu smiled as he pulled out a Pokeball.

Seeing this, Balza couldn’t help but have some thoughts and eagerly said: ”Then I will also...”

Before he finished speaking.

The two across them began to argue indignantly.

”Balza, get in line!”

”No jumping ahead! Come over and be the referee properly!”

”Alright! I get it!”

Balza loudly replied to his two best friends and walked helplessly to the edge of the field, becoming a temporary referee under the teasing gazes of Mei Yali and Luca.

Hoopa volunteered to help.

The rule is one-on-one.

Kepu and Pete know full well they can’t possibly beat Baimu in a three-on-three match, but in a one-on-one, perhaps they can utilize Attribute Compatibility to their advantage.

”I’ll go first!”

The tall and slender Kepu stepped forward and seized the opportunity.

Without hesitation, he threw a Pokeball into the field, ”Go! Trevenant!”

Bang!

A ball of white light hit the ground, transforming into a ferocious one-eyed tree spirit with six curved roots resembling the pincers of a spider.

”Whoa—”

Its cry was raspy and sharp.

On Baimu’s side.

A rounded and shiny milky-white stone rolled onto the field, from whose hollow smoky-white tendrils poked out, blood-red resentful eyes gradually opened.

”Sob.”

”Galarian Corsola! It’s definitely Baimu! Hoopa brought him to the Valley of Creation!”

Among the kids who had gathered to watch cried out in excitement.

So there are this many people surfing the web in the Valley of Creation?

He felt a bit surprised but quickly turned his attention back to the field, meeting the peculiar gaze cast by Corsola’s slight tilt.

Baimu silently held up two fingers, then three after glancing at Balza.

”...”

Corsola’s eyes of resentment suddenly grew deeper.

At the same time.

Balza raised both hands and loudly shouted:

”Battle begins!”

”Forest Curse!”

Kepu, who had been eager, shouted orders loudly.

Trevenant’s eyes lit up red, and mysterious purple waves appeared on the ground, followed by numerous ghostly purple vines shooting up and tightly wrapping Corsola!

[Forest Curse], a technique that adds a Grass Attribute to the enemy.

In the animation, it includes an effect like vine whip entanglement and strong control, which is a special technique for Pokémon like Phantump and Trevenant.

”Well done!”

Seeing Corsola so easily captured, Kepu, overwhelmed with excitement, issued another order, ”Charge in with Shadow Claw!”

”Whoa!”

Trevenant growled hoarsely, aggressively moving its six roots forward, quickly arriving in front of the vine-entangled Corsola.

Its twin paws suddenly covered in eerie purple light, transforming into jagged and terrifying Energy Ghost Claws, clawing down fiercely!

The kids watching couldn’t help but exclaim.

”Ah!”

”It’s going to be attacked!”

Balza and the others, however, remained unfazed. If Baimu’s Pokémon were that easy to defeat, he wouldn’t have won the tournament with such an absolute advantage.

Trevenant’s ghost claw swung down.

”Whoa!!”

Bang!

Dust billowed!

Yet before Kepu could rejoice over the technique hitting, Baimu suddenly raised his hand.

”Ghost Fire.”

In an instant.

Clusters of ghostly purple flames suddenly illuminated the explosion’s dust cloud, resembling nine glowing treasures.

Whoosh—

The ghostly flame whirled to form a light wheel dispersing the fog, revealing Corsola bound by purple vines but otherwise unharmed.

The ghostly purple flame wheel rushed towards Trevenant’s face while it was distracted.

Puff!

Flames exploded!

”Oh...”

Trevenant wailed as it retreated several steps, the flames clinging to its body and taking a long time to dissipate, and the vines that were entwined around Corsola vanished.

The onlookers were silent.

Kepu urgently shouted:

”Trevenant, hold on! Use Shadow Ball to attack!”

”...Misfortune Never Comes Alone.”

Baimu waited for a long time but Kepu never used his Special Ability, so he had no choice but to give Trevenant the final blow.

”Snarl.”

Corsola was enveloped by a violet mist, then the mist transformed into visible energy streams that charged forward like vengeful spirits!

Trevenant, entangled by flames, had no way to dodge, and the violet energy streams suddenly pierced its body, causing violent convulsions.

Then.

Its roots limply collapsed, and its single eye was replaced by dizzy swirls.

Balza raised his hand, ”Trevenant is unable to battle! Corsola wins!”

Wow!

”Amazing!”

”The tournament champion is really that powerful?”

”Kepu isn’t a match at all!”

The little ghosts gathered at the edge of the field all spoke up, making Kepu’s face black as coal, but he had to admit his Pokémon didn’t stand a chance, he had no choice but to accept it.

He sighed and withdrew Trevenant.

Baimu intended to speak a few words to Kepu, but the chubby Pete eagerly stepped forward.

”It’s my turn, it’s my turn!”

The Pokeball was thrown.

The massive Hippowdon took the stage, its dark skin and bright red eyes proving it was female.

”Thump!”

A large amount of yellow sand sprayed out from the round holes all over its body, quickly covering half of the simple field, causing many spectators to cover their eyes and retreat.

[Sandstorm] Trait!

Corsola hovered mid-air, resisting the strong wind of the sandstorm.

As a Pokémon weighing less than a kilogram with a hollow interior, if it hadn’t possessed the Ghost Attribute, a gust of wind would likely turn it into a football rolling across the ground.

Pete shouted with a clenched fist, ”Flame Fang!”

Although the binding effect of Forest Curse was gone, its Grass Attribute enhancement effect remained, so Hippowdon’s Flame Fang would be extremely effective.

”Thump!”

Hippowdon roared, opening its massive mouth that occupied a third of its body, scorching flames ignited between its giant teeth!

Roar!

It charged at Corsola with a speed completely incongruent with its size!

”Meditation.”

”Snarl...”

Corsola still didn’t dodge.

Or perhaps with its own speed, it was difficult to dodge in the sandstorm, its eyes glowing blue, orange-red light rising from underneath its body, coldly watching the approaching Hippowdon closing its flaming mouth!

Boom!

Amidst the explosion, roaring flames erupted fiercely, rolling waves of heat!

They hit!

But Pete didn’t rush to celebrate; Kepu’s lesson taught him that Corsola wasn’t easy to take down, continuous attacks were necessary to overwhelm it.

”Frozen Fang!”

”Absorption Power.”

Both trainers gave their orders simultaneously.

Hippowdon that was biting Corsola acted quickly, cold mist flowed between its lips and teeth, it opened its massive mouth again, faintly forming sharp, giant ice teeth.

”Thump!”

”Do it!!”

In Pete’s view, such rapid alternations between hot and cold would reduce the opponent’s shell hardness, increasing the likelihood of critical attacks!

Suddenly, countless shimmering green lights flew from Hippowdon’s body, frantically merging into Corsola.

The scale of cold air rapidly diminished visibly, with weakened blue light surrounding its body, remaining distinct amidst the swirling sandstorm.

Ice teeth intertwined!

Crack!

Amid continuous crisp sounds, the giant ice teeth shattered instantly into pieces, dispersing in the sandstorm.

”What!?”

Pete watched in disbelief at this scene, a restrained Attribute Technique could never overcome Corsola?

”Ultimate Absorption.”

Baimu ordered.

Still lodged within Hippowdon’s mouth, Corsola’s body surface glowed with shimmering green light, the former sensed the situation was unfavorable and attempted to spit it out, but Corsola had already taken action.

Even larger amounts of green lights flew from its body, and a terrifying feeling of weakness quickly surged in its heart, gradually depriving it of the ability to resist.

”Thump...”

Baimu stared at Pete, puzzled when he saw Pete ”unmoved” by this.

”Cannot... or will not?”

The people from the Valley of Creation seemed never to have considered applying the power they possessed to Pokémon battles, even though the strength they resonated with from nature was, frankly, the Attribute Energy that Pokémon had.
