Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1068: Chapter 644: Distant Traveler (Part 2)

”Rest assured, since I’ve made my decision, I’m willing to accept any outcome, as long as you don’t break your promise just now.”

It shook its head silently, prepared for judgment.

Accepting legal punishment—

This was one of the premisses for the Zeroth Machine to enjoy future financial assistance, also a core pursuit that Dr. Akihabara had been chasing for years.

That’s why the Zeroth Machine was so agitated earlier.

After all, it was the one most yearning for freedom, soon to lose it, and even though it was for a more distant complete freedom, it was still hard to accept.

But it calmed down and thought it through.

Setting aside this unfavorable aspect, Baimu’s proposal indeed offers it great benefits.

There’s no reward without giving...

The Zeroth Machine, accustomed to free-riding, struggled immensely and accepted reluctantly the basic concept that to buy things, you have to pay, and you have to earn that money yourself.

It would join the development of the Porygon phone as a researcher.

As the developer of the final evolutionary Porygon Z, its talent in this aspect is assured, and Dr. Akihabara also has great confidence in this fellow.

Of course.

The premise is it doesn’t need to go to jail, or can access the computer in jail.

Baimu turned his head and said, ”Then it’s up to you, Doctor, how to handle the mess it’s left behind over the years is entirely up to you.”

”Okay!”

Dr. Akihabara nodded quickly.

After a brief conversation.

Hoopa teleported Dr. Akihabara, the Zeroth Machine, the No.1 Machine, and the two Porygon II back to the research institute in Mach City.

The Zeroth Machine’s rocket base is located on a private island outside the Unova Region, which it bought after stealing a wealthy individual’s personal data to adorn its identity.

It’s neither too far nor too close to humans, perfect for transporting various raw materials.

And despite appearing solo until now, it had already purchased numerous automatic robots to help it build rockets.

Now the main part of the first rocket is already complete.

Once the next step of the capital chain is in place, it can immediately conduct test launches—

Exactly.

The Zeroth Machine had spent all the ill-gotten gains it had stolen over the years. If it hadn’t been summoned today, it might have acted again.

Dr. Akihabara found this quite bothersome.

Baimu seemed to take some delight in others’ misfortune.

Anyway, the upcoming matters have nothing to do with him; the Zeroth Machine can do whatever it wants, as he only awaits the debut of the first-generation Porygon phone.

Additionally, before leaving.

Dr. Akihabara handed him a purple hard disk.

”This is the safe ’suspicious patch’; if you intend to evolve Porygon II, just use it like before.”

”Alright.”

Baimu exchanged a glance with the Porygon II inside the phone.

Currently, they had no need for evolution.

Although the Species Value between Porygon II and Porygon Z isn’t much different, there is a significant disparity in Ability Value, the former focusing on dual defenses, especially with the Evolutionary Wondrous Stone making it alarmingly tanky.

Whereas the latter is a medium-speed special attack cannon whose dual defenses are inferior to its pre-evolution, not to mention the additional benefits from the Evolutionary Wondrous Stone.

Attack power is sufficient if it’s adequate.

Honestly speaking, as the only space holder in the current team, Porygon II’s resilience is very crucial.

He set aside the suspicious patch and called out other Pokémon to enjoy all the food on the folding table together, and played with them on the beach.

——

Ever Grande City.

After returning from the deserted island.

Baimu and Hoopa easily found Mei Yali, who was tasting snacks, and Balza, who was carrying big bags.

The siblings seemed to be enjoying their outing.

”Mei Yali!”

Hoopa’s eyes lit up, rushing over to plead for food from its closest buddy.

Its stomach seemed to be connected to the cosmos’ Light Wheel, always insatiable.

The other complied with its wish and stuffed a piece of piping hot takoyaki into its mouth, causing Hoopa to take a bite before clutching its cheek and flying around aimlessly.

”So hot! So hot!”

Though called takoyaki, it actually doesn’t contain Octillery tentacles inside; in the Pokémon animation world, takoyaki got its name mainly because it’s the one that made it.

After finishing the takoyaki, Mei Yali handed it the shaved ice from the other hand.

Hoopa took a huge bite again.

Then clutching its head, it began rolling around crazily.

”So cold! So cold!”

”...”

Mei Yali was speechless looking at this comical creature.

Not far away.

Balza sat down on a bench with a sigh of relief, smiling, ”Shopping occasionally also tests endurance. How are things?”

”Most likely perfectly resolved. If not, I couldn’t care less. It’s too complex.”

Baimu waved his hand, taking off his hat and glasses.

In Ever Grande City he dared to expose his face at will, knowing that within hours he couldn’t advance a hundred meters; battle fanatics could devour him with their eyes.

Balza looked at him in surprise.

In his mind, Baimu was synonymous with fearlessness, resolving complicated matters like enlightening Lugia and extinguishing the Flashing Flame Team, each notoriously troublesome.

Never had he imagined to hear him say such.

It seemed that Pokémon called Zeroth Machine caused him considerable headache.

”Resolving issues is good, don’t be too perfectionist, everyone has their fate.”

Balza comforted.

Baimu shook his head, changing the subject, ”By the way, may I ask, what age is your great-grandfather this year?”

When Grings first appeared, he was a black-haired middle-aged man, sealing Hoopa and bringing it back to the Valley of Creation. By the time the siblings formed a bond with him, his hair was already white, aged significantly.

Now the siblings have grown up; Grings must be at least eighty or ninety?

He originally thought Grings had long passed away; Mei Yali also said in the animated feature film that her great-grandfather wasn’t around, unexpectedly receiving an invitation from him instead.

And what was claimed as not being around actually meant just traveling.

”I...I’m not quite sure.”

Balza smiled wryly, ”Since I can remember, my great-grandfather’s appearance hasn’t changed. I asked my grandfather and father, but they never answered me.”

Could it be ageless?

Baimu had some associations.

It’s said that the Valley of Creation’s powers were obtained by ancestors of locals in communication with Arceus.

Grings once showcased the power to make wheat seeds grow and sprout instantly.

Using this power for life extension seems plausible.

Before long.

Mei Yali finished feeding.

”Xiaobai! Let’s head out!”

Having stuffed a bunch of things into its small belly, Hoopa circled around above Baimu’s head with exceptional energy, itching to move thousands of bricks in Desert City.

Balza said, ”Yes, Baimu, if you don’t have other matters, why not stay in the Valley of Creation tonight.”

Mei Yali agreed, encouraging him, ”Our family’s guest rooms are very spacious.”

Hoopa eagerly opened the Light Wheel leading to the Valley of Creation.

”The gate is open!”

Baimu really couldn’t refuse the enthusiasm of the two siblings and one Pokémon, so he followed them into the Light Wheel.

In an instant.

The scenery before him twisted.

Only to find himself on a high slope, gazing over a tranquil town nestled in a canyon.

Looking over, the horizon dotted with Mediterranean-style pristine cuboid houses in tiers, lush tropical plants filling the town interior and exterior, several clear rivers crossing it.

Most strikingly, vast stretches of golden wheat fields spread outside the town.

”Ripe wheat! In this season!”

He was in awe.

Balza smiled, ”The situation in the Valley of Creation is quite different from outside. You know we possess a special ability to resonate with nature, providing us endless food.”

So ripening is just a basic ability?

The Valley of Creation hosts natural agricultural workers!

Baimu thought they were well-suited for contributing to various modern crop improvement projects, lacking fear of graduating thesis being lost to consumption.

Walking down the slope.

A bridge appeared in view, on it a bearded elderly man gazing across.

The siblings and Hoopa smiled brightly seeing him.

”Grings!”

Hoopa waved, fluttering quickly towards him.

The siblings also called, ”Great-grandfather!”

”Back? That’s wonderful!”

The elderly man chuckled, reaching out to touch Hoopa’s head, exuding a gentle aura, then his gaze fell on Baimu.

”Welcome, traveler from afar.”

Grings’ voice deep and magnetic.

Baimu was intrigued by the words, about to ask when he noticed an odd golden ring-like ornament glowing on the other’s chest.

It’s the Thousand Cosmos Bracelet!
