Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1081: Chapter 650: Divine Mission? (Part 2)

”But what is this mission? Will it ever come? All of this feels like a veil of mist to me.”

The sound of rain is incessant.

Showing no signs of abating.

Volcanion merely shook his head after listening.

”These kinds of things are unnecessary for me to consider. You humans always worry about such meaningless issues. Is the answer really important? What must be known will eventually be known.”

”Meaningless, huh...”

Baimu smiled and did not argue.

Even personalities differ among humans, let alone the mutual understanding between humans and Pokémon.

Especially when one might possess infinite lifespan as a Mythical Pokémon, while the other may not live past a century.

Trying to use limited time as much as possible on things that bring joy to oneself.

This is Baimu’s belief.

”Letting nature take its course is indeed a good method.”

He exhaled a puff of white smoke and said, ”Thanks for chatting with me. Having someone to talk to is far better than just worrisome thoughts alone.”

He actually often engages in fanciful musings at midnight.

Sometimes when he can’t sleep from overthinking, he seeks out Porygon II or Aggron to confide in.

For the other Pokémon either aren’t interested in these matters, only nodding along; or they indulge his worries overly, leading to his heart feeling more blocked.

Occasionally being challenged can be quite refreshing.

However, seeing Baimu’s face relax and show drowsiness, Volcanion thought these guys really are peculiar to the extreme, but said on the surface:

”If you’re tired, rest; this rainfall won’t last much longer, tomorrow will be good weather.”

”Hmm...”

The voice grew smaller.

Soon, the sound of even breathing emerged.

Volcanion glanced around with a silent hum, then closed his eyes for a small nap.

During stormy nights, poachers and trainers generally do not appear, removing the need for it to stay constantly vigilant through the night.

The cold rain also helps to cool down.

Preventing it from worrying it might suddenly ”explode.”

And just as Volcanion closed its eyes, the phone on the table under orange lamplight flickered on and off, while the Metal Giant Beast blinked its water-blue beast eyes nearby.

Inside the tent, the young lady, dissatisfied, clutched her doll and turned over, while the Large Egg let out a sigh of relief.

”Sasha~”

The dog-like Evil Dragon whimpered as it moved forward, until it smelled a familiar scent.

The air rippled with an almost tangible wave.

Finally.

The stone cave grew completely silent.

——

Morning.

The heavy rain ceased.

The sun rose at the edge of the lake.

A vibrant rainbow arched across the sky.

Glistening dew dripped from the leaves, landing on the nose of the little lion.

”Shao~”

It shuddered suddenly, shook its head, and kept burrowing in the grass, excitedly retrieving a curled, orange Tree Fruit, then turned to dash towards the yawning Hydreigon clutching a bamboo basket.

Many Pokémon performed actions similar to its own.

Everyone tossed collected Tree Fruit and designated plants into that basket, then transported them to friendly humans to turn them into mouth-watering delicacies.

The thought of the upcoming feast.

Wild Pokémon gathered ingredients more diligently, even Litwick and Gulpin tried their best to lift fresh Tree Fruit into the basket.

If it couldn’t be tossed in one try, they’d throw it a second time.

”Sasha~”

The basket-holding Hydreigon yawned again, three heads with eyes squinted into thin lines, mouths curving into waves, seeming somewhat sluggish.

After the rain, the Nibel Plateau was particularly cold, veiled in a mist clinging to these lands, making it sleepy despite its duties.

Maybe sparring with an opponent would excite it a bit.

The Hydreigon looked sharply towards the lake, where Aggron had gone with Milotic again, claiming they needed to gather special underwater ingredients.

Hmph!

Clearly they just went to play!

Dragonair thought in a self-justifying manner, deciding to find a Trainer later to complain, proving how unreliable the chosen ace was.

When Aggron cries and apologizes, I’ll step in to comfort the angry Trainer.

At that time, the Trainer will surely see me in a new light and declare to all partners that I’m the strongest card.

In the clever mind of Hydreigon, countless wonderful scenes emerged, and a fierce, terrifying smile appeared.

Espurr stood trembling at the basket, even dropping the tree fruit it held with Spiritual Power.

”Meow, meow...”

”Xiaobai!! Hoopa has finished collecting! Hoopa wants to eat doughnuts!”

The shout that echoed throughout the high plateau brought Hydreigon back to its senses. It swallowed the drool at the corner of its mouth, looked at Espurr strangely, and then flapped its wings to actively collect tree fruits.

It must complete the task before Aggron returns!

Charge!

Hydreigon turned into a diligent little bee, shuttling back and forth on the hillside.

Beside the clear stream.

Baimu, along with Blissey and Magearna, were busy with their feet off the ground.

He stood by the pot and stove, frantically cooking, while Blissey quickly handled the raw materials with swift knife movements, and Magearna sorted the finished dishes and prevented the impatient Wild Pokémon from rushing forward to snatch them.

It must be said.

The Pokémon of the plateau truly haven’t tasted any good food.

When Baimu was washing beside the stream this morning, these guys looked at him like zombies looking at a living person, incredibly creepy.

Even though what he was making was hunger-resistant food.

Normal Pokémon who eat it won’t need to eat again for at least two days and will remain energetic.

How did they give the impression of having eaten one meal and not expecting the next? Is the Nibel Plateau short of food?

No way.

The products are incredibly rich.

He even found golden Banana Fragrance Fruits and Raspberry Fruits in the pile of fruits collected by other Pokémon, which are rare even in highly developed agricultural animation worlds.

It’s said that after eating the former, even the most volatile Pokémon will become gentle, and eating the latter will make Pokémon have a unique affection for you.

If Ash Ketchum had these two items when he first left home, he wouldn’t have needed Spearow flocks to help him bond with Pikachu.

Of course.

A strong bond must be forged by unforgettable memories.

These two items mainly serve rookie Trainers or Trainers who are at their wits’ end with newly captured aggressive Pokémon.

”For the last meal before you leave, let’s make sure you all eat to your heart’s content.”

Baimu spared no effort in producing large quantities of food suitable for Pokémon, the soaring fragrance even attracting Volcanion, who hid on the cliffs and refused to show itself.

It immediately complained, ”What have you made again? You’re going to spoil their taste buds this way!”

”Stop saying such nonsense; you came just in time, go fetch water!”

Baimu ignored the tsundere Pokémon’s words, directly enlisting it as a helper.

Hoopa and Gengar, along with the Dreepy siblings, were playing wildly, claiming they were going to the forest to gather ingredients, who knows when they’ll return.

”Don’t just give me orders! I’m not your Pokémon!”

Volcanion refused to pick up the water bucket.

And so.

The Highland Guardian received the attention of almost all Pokémon, with Magearna placing its basin down and slowly walking toward it.

”Beep beep beep!”

”Magearna—Fine, I’ll go, it’s just, every time it’s that trick.” Volcanion fled, unable to handle the bouquet of flowers in Magearna’s hand due to its pollen allergy.

Soon enough.

Hydreigon returned with a stuffed bamboo basket, all three heads speaking excitedly about something.

”Sha sa! Sha sa!”

Baimu listened attentively and then cheerfully asked it to find Hoopa and Gengar’s crew.

Hydreigon slightly tilted its head: ”?”

”Go quickly, if it returns and I find it’s been slacking off, I’ll definitely give it a stern talking to!” The Trainer made promises .

With its goal achieved, Hydreigon cheerfully flew away.

Before long.

Aggron returned with the altered-color Milotic, its clawed basket filled with food that Water-type Pokémon love.

”Why did it take so long to return...”

Baimu severely ”criticized” the Big Monster, and hearing that Milotic led it chasing after a rainbow, he angrily scolded them for being excessive while everyone worked so hard. How could they go around leisurely like that?

Aggron chuckled, in one ear and out the other.

And the returning Hydreigon with Hoopa looked at it in disbelief.

Such thick-skinned Pokémon!

Is this the confidence of the ace?
