Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1094: Chapter 656: Desert Elf_2

But thanks to this.

Salamence’s Feather Rest is not within Shelgon’s skill pool, otherwise, this battle would still be going on!

”Come back!”

Baimu withdrew the exhausted Hydreigon into the ball, ”You did a great job.”

A Pokémon battle doesn’t require too many miracles; playing it safe can also secure the final victory, but without a doubt, the upcoming battle is the real highlight.

As expected.

Shelgon’s strength should be among the weaker of Genji’s main Pokémon.

”Baimu, from the battle just now, it’s not hard to see that you haven’t been blinded by victory like I feared. You’re more outstanding than I imagined, but I hope to see more of your shining qualities.”

Genji casually tossed out a Pokeball, shouting, ”Come out, Flygon!”

Bam!

A flash of white light transformed into a Flygon covered in emerald green with red spherical coverings over its eyes.

”Layo!”

Graceful and elegant, yet filled with a robust spirit, its spirited eyes brimmed with vigor as its wings gently flapped, stirring up a sandstorm.

This is a powerful Pokémon capable of navigating raging torrents and breaking through fierce storms!

”So cool!”

”No matter how many times I see it, I always feel it’s incredibly cool. How great it would be if I could also raise such a Flygon~”

The Dragon Tamers’ eyes lit up; as Hoenn People, the dragons they are most familiar with are still Altaria, Flygon, and Salamence.

In Meteor Village, these three Dragon-type Pokémon are also the most numerous.

Therefore, Hoenn Dragon Tamers can often immediately judge their appearance, physical condition, and strength.

Genji’s Flygon stirred admiration in countless Dragon Tamers present.

On the other side.

Baimu took a deep breath, releasing the Dragapult from earlier, ”It’s all up to you.”

”Waddles...”

The Social Dinosaur squinted with its triangular eyes; compared to the previous opponent Shelgon, the presence of this Flygon was much more intimidating.

But whether it could be defeated or not, you wouldn’t know until they fought.

”Sandstorm!”

”Dragon Dance!”

With the commands given, both Dragon-type Pokémon moved in unison.

Dragapult’s speed appeared to be slightly quicker than Flygon’s, its slender form spiraled in the air, with a flash of crimson misty halo.

Flygon raised its long serpentine neck, emitting a sharp screech: ”Layo~!”

Bzzzz—

The wing membranes vibrated at high frequencies, and a visible yellow-brown sandstorm surged up from its underside, rapidly expanding outward like high walls!

The surrounding Meteor People raised their arms to shield against the blowing sand, as gentle, almost hidden singing wafted to their ears.

As if someone were singing in the sandstorm.

The Meteor People knew the song came from Flygon’s wings. When vibrating at high speed, the continuous friction of the sand emitted sounds similar to a woman’s singing.

For this reason, they are often called Desert Elves.

This is why they are classified as a mysterious Pokémon in the Illustrated Guide.

”What a dense sandstorm!”

One of the Dragon Tamers exclaimed.

In most cases, a Trainer would control the scale of a sandstorm to maintain visibility on the battlefield, even if using one.

But Genji didn’t do that.

The current scale of the sandstorm was so dense that the two Pokémon almost became silhouettes, and from a distance, it was like a solid wall of earth.

How to observe the opponent’s Pokémon and notice their subtle movements?

Why?

Elder Qing Liu chuckled and explained to a few puzzled young Dragon Tamers beside him: ”Genji’s powers of observation were honed in the roaring seas; be it a storm or lightning, it hardly affects his judgment of the battle situation, let alone a mere small-scale sandstorm...”

Ah, I see!

The young Dragon Tamers suddenly realized, looking towards Genji with admiration.

Is sailing really that impressive?

Not only does it train the will and strengthen the physique, but it can also hone a Trainer’s observational and judgment skills!

And in the arena.

After realizing that it was hard to see the opponent’s specific location, Dragapult immediately went invisible.

Who would have thought that within the sandstorm, it was like a surfboard cutting through waves, leaving two clear trails behind as it moved swiftly.

When Baimu barely caught sight of this situation, he thought Genji would probably see it too.

Even if Genji could not see it.

Flygon can definitely see it. It’s said that the red membrane outside its eyes acts as a sand particle shield, expanding its visibility in the sandstorm.

He shouted, ”Plan D! Light Wall!”

In an instant.

Dragapult appeared from the sandstorm, having pre-planned several maneuvers to strategically use its invisibility during battle.

Being detected by opponents through the weather was also considered in the plan.

A translucent glass wall appeared in front of it, ignored the assault of the wind and sand, and quickly vanished.

”Waddles!”

Pain flashed across its face, and the Dreepy siblings inside its firing holes tightened their bodies, not daring to peek out.

The denser the sandstorm, the greater the continuous harm it caused. Such weather effects tend to pile up over time, hence the need for an aggressive attack in this battle.

Dragging out the time is extremely unfavorable to it!

”Quicksand Hell!”

Genji raised his voice, his coat flapped in the wind and sand, revealing his dry but remarkably solid body.

Flygon vibrated its wings at a high frequency once again, causing countless yellow sands to swirl under its command.

Rumble—

A muffled roar continuously echoed through the air.

The sandstorm became even denser with another layer of yellow sand, rapidly forming a massive sand vortex reaching the heavens and the earth.

At this moment.

Standing in the trainer’s position, Baimu could no longer see the situation inside; only some vague shadows remained besides the sand vortex in his vision.

”The scale of the sandstorm has intensified! This is meant to isolate the trainer’s command!”

The crowd was astonished.

They never expected Genji to adopt such a special tactic—did he have some kind of x-ray vision to see through layers of sand into the interior?

Impossible!

Genji remained silent; despite his rich experience, he was only human. At this level of sandstorm, not to mention seeing inside, sound couldn’t even penetrate.

Ultimately, this was the special battlefield he designed for Flygon and Dragapult.

If the trainer’s vision and voice could be a Pokémon’s power, then what combat strength remains when Pokémon lose these?

Genji eagerly awaited Dragapult and Baimu’s answer.

Inside the sand vortex.

Compared to the exaggerated scenery outside, the center area had become smaller due to the sandstorm being drawn away by Quicksand Hell, akin to the eye of a typhoon.

But what followed was a significant reduction in evasion space.

Dragapult cautiously eyed the swirling yellow sand wall behind it; adept at covert observation, it had good judgment, clearly aware that if this sand wall sucked it in, how much chance would its fragile stamina have to mount a counterattack?

Suddenly.

A tingling sensation surged from the left side, accompanied by a soft buzzing in its ear.

”Frightened tweet!”

Sister Dragapult let out a startled cry.

Without hesitation, it swung its tail and flew towards the sky; an indigo breath brushed past it, crashing into the sand wall and rapidly dissipating.

It’s Dragon Breath!

Despite lacking the trainer’s warning, Dragapult’s sharp sense of sight was sufficient to discern when Flygon was about to strike.

Ascending to a higher altitude, it gazed down at Flygon below, locking eyes, and without hesitation, launched two Dreepy downwards!

Bang! Bang!

White smoke and flames spewed from behind its head, two Dreepy wrapped in azure light, screeched as they charged downward!

”Frightened tweet!”

”Woo!”

Faced with Dragon Arrow, Flygon showed no trace of fear, once more vibrating its large, broad wings at high frequency, unleashing visible pale sound waves upwards.

Yet the Dreepy reacted swiftly, dispersing to the left and right the moment it flapped its wings.

Pre-emptive evasion—despite the general attribute of the ultrasonic waves expanding at subsonic speeds—they weren’t unaffected by being caught off guard. Meanwhile, Dragapult itself had commenced moving upon launching the Dragapult siblings.

The trainer had told it that the Dragon Arrow technique demands movement; lingering in place would only make it a target.

Whether they could hit the opponent was left to the Dreepy siblings!

Thus.

Already not lacking in speed, with Dragon Dance’s acceleration, Dragapult flew like lightning, skimming the sand wall beneath Flygon, slightly opening its mouth as azure dragon flame brewed.

At the same time.

The two Dreepy also dove towards Flygon’s double wings from left and right, their gaze determined like members of a death squad.

”Frightened tweet!”

”Waddles!”

Triangular assault!
