Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1078: Chapter 649: Phantom Beasts Gather, Part 2

Baimu gently stroked the big head of the Hydreigon resting on his chest, while the Galarian Corsola lay in the water, blowing bubbles with its belly.

Next to him.

Wearing toad sunglasses, Mawile leisurely watched TV shows on its phone, cradling a glass of juice.

A bit further away, Aggron, Porygon II, and Blissey enjoyed the hot spring with closed eyes, almost falling asleep from comfort.

Even further away, Altered-color Milotic, Altered-color Gengar, and the Dreepy siblings were playfully romping around with Hoopa.

In the corner.

The hot spring had an unidentified long pit carved out.

Undoubtedly, Volcanion’s private hot spring had been occupied by Baimu and his gang. The only one who hadn’t invaded the hot spring and was the largest of them all, opted to play outside with other Pokémon, disliking hot water.

”That was supposed to be my food!”

Volcanion was so angry it exhaled a mass of white steam.

Baimu was particularly pleased with the incoming scorching steam and praised, ”Not bad, not bad. A sauna effect too, very nice.”

Buzz——

The cave echoed with Volcanion’s extreme hissing of steam.

Bang!

A huge splash of water shot skyward.

Chaos ensued in the hot spring, waking those who were asleep and startling the ones playing.

Hoopa flew around like a headless chicken, shouting and yelling, ”It exploded! The hot spring exploded! Xiaobai! Gengar! It exploded!”

Luckily, the water mist quickly dispersed.

Baimu, speechless, put down the Galarian Corsola he used as a shield. Nearby, Mawile, with skewed sunglasses and missing juice, was looking everywhere for its phone.

”Boss... can you hold back a bit? It was just a joke.”

”Hmph!”

Volcanion, annoyed, didn’t reply and instead retrieved Mawile’s phone from the hot spring.

As it had introduced itself in the past, it was essentially a firecracker ready to explode at any moment, coupled with a contrary nature, so it usually lived apart from other Pokémon in the Nibel Plateau.

But essentially, it was a very gentle one.

Not long ago.

The Nibel Plateau had just wrapped up a rare banquet.

Baimu served as the head chef with Blissey as the sous-chef, Magearna as an assistant, Gengar as a helper, and Hydreigon as a helper, and Hoopa as the troublemaker.

Within just an hour, they whipped up a dazzling feast that satisfied the appetites of dozens of differently-sized Pokémon.

To reward his hard work, Volcanion brought him to the cave where the hot spring was located, to help him recover his energy.

Who would have thought this guy would call over his entire bunch of Pokémon!

Of course.

Volcanion wasn’t stingy about the hot spring sharing, but the chaotic play bothered it.

Being a Steam Pokémon, it was affected by the heat inside its body, spending most of its time in a semi-heated state.

In other words, it had quite a short temper!

”Okay, I won’t tease you anymore.”

Baimu timely reassured as he asked, ”How have things been at the Nibel Plateau lately? Many troublesome strangers?”

Volcanion’s internal heat receded with the question.

Looking outside the cave, peering at the Pokémon playing below with the Giant Steelix, it spoke softly, ”Same as usual. Hunters chase Pokémon, I scare them off with fog, and sometimes a few stray Pokémon wander in here.

”Pokémon Trainers... hmph, they aren’t much different from Pokémon Hunters, catching and discarding as they please. I don’t have much favor for them either.”

”Hahaha, there are good trainers out there, just like Ash Ketchum and the others.”

Baimu paused, curiously asking, ”Speaking of which, didn’t you take my advice last time?”

He had previously suggested that Volcanion seek Ji Meiya’s help, intending to leverage the Azoth Kingdom’s power.

Though the Pokémon Alliance is the biggest organization worldwide, as an independent kingdom, finding an excuse to ward off poachers and trainers from the Nibel Plateau shouldn’t be too difficult?

Volcanion fell silent.

Seeing this, Baimu knew either it hadn’t sought out Ji Meiya, or it did but didn’t find a satisfactory solution.

Doing something is always harder than just talking about it.

He had no intention of judging Volcanion’s decision and directly glossed over it by asking, ”So... have you considered my proposal?”

To move all the Pokémon from the Nibel Plateau to the Ore Region, this was his proposal to prevent Magearna from being bothered by unknown trainers.

However, given the importance of homeland attachment, Volcanion likely found it hard to decide until necessary.

As expected.

It remained silent.

Offering this option wasn’t difficult for Baimu, but making the corresponding decision wasn’t easy for Volcanion.

Influenced by various factors, many Pokémon are particularly tenacious about certain things, such as still believing they haven’t been abandoned after being deserted, or responding with smiles when attacked.

Put bluntly, it’s like the saying ”won’t turn back until reaching the Yellow River.”

The current situation was still within Volcanion’s control. The dense fog enveloping the Nibel Plateau was enough to disperse most poachers and passing trainers.

So even if it knew Baimu was right, it still couldn’t make up its mind.

”Forget it, just pretend I didn’t ask.”

Baimu didn’t want the atmosphere to become too heavy, appeared to force Volcanion into a decision, and waved his hand, leaving the hot spring pool.

Water droplets trickled down.

The wind felt slightly chilly as it blew past.

Standing at the edge of the cave’s entrance, looking outside, he found that the sky had unwittingly become quite gloomy.

The churning gray clouds blocked out the sunlight.

It’s going to rain!

He lowered his gaze, immediately noticing the Pokémon playing in the meadow below had scattered.
