Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1074: Chapter 647: Cursed Body_2

Defeat?

Watch me win!

He threw a Pokeball into the field, ”Go! Braviary!”

Boom!

White light flashed.

”Screech——”

A gigantic Braviary screeched sharply, flapping its broad wings to stir up a whirlwind of dust.

Another physical attacker?

No.

Planning to rely on Air Slash for output?

Baimu speculated on the tactics Balza might adopt, thinking that after seeing Trevenant and Hippowdon suffering at close range, it was unlikely he would bluntly continue with close-range combat.

Just as he imagined.

”Air Slash!”

shouted Balza.

The effect of Forest Curse was still in play, making Flying Attribute attacks particularly effective.

Braviary tucked its wings in and dived down at an angle, and upon nearing, unfolded its double wings, bursting out!

Whoosh!

A wind visible to the naked eye transformed underneath its wings into sharp blades rushing towards Corsola, while its body swiftly ascended using the wind force released from Air Slash!

The howling wind blades caused the air to whimper.

Impressive power there, Forceful Trait?

Baimu smiled silently:

”Mirror Reflection.”

Ratatatata——

The raging wind blades flew like a Gatling gun skimming the ground, instantly exploding a large cloud of dust that enveloped the multi-colored Corsola.

But in the next moment, countless wind blades flew out of the dust, charging straight at the circling Braviary!

Balza remained calm, ”Quick, dodge it!”

”Screech!”

Braviary flapped its wings faster suddenly, but an unexpected blue glow flashed across its body, slowing its moves, causing a fraction of the ”wind blades” to hit.

Boom!

A burst of smoke exploded in mid-air.

”Braviary!” Balza cried out in shock.

The onlookers gasped in surprise, whereas Kepu and Pete had already lost their initially gleeful expressions, clenching their fists nervously.

Fortunate.

The Air Slash couldn’t deal effective damage to Corsola, so that portion of the Mirror Reflection wasn’t enough to knock Braviary down.

A gentle breeze dispersed the dust surrounding it.

”Screech!”

Braviary cried out with undiminished momentum.

As a Pokémon that grows braver in battle, this minor injury wasn’t frightening it, and its condition even improved after being injured.

Balza joyously exclaimed, ”Great! Use Air Slash again!”

As the command was given.

Baimu on the other side had a strange expression.

”Screech!!”

Braviary lifted its head, screeching high, its gaze sharply fixed on the Corsola below, its wide double wings flapping fiercely——

But no wind blades flew out!?

This left both it and Balza dumbfounded, and everyone else watching was equally puzzled.

”Curse.”

”Hiss.”

Corsola’s eyes flared blood red, and the smoky appendage on its head rapidly swelled into a gray-white ghostly shadow, rushing at the Braviary above!

Although it tried to evade, the ghostly shadow moved faster than expected, unlike Corsola’s actual slow body.

In an instant.

The ghostly shadow drilled inside Braviary, viciously ripping away from within!

”Screech——”

No feathers flying, but its energy continued to weaken, clearly indicating the Curse attack was aimed at the mental world rather than physical.

And Balza had just come to grips with the failure of using Air Slash.

”Cursed Body!?”

”You finally noticed, but it’s a bit late.” Baimu shook his head regretfully and waved, ”Power Gemstone!”

The smoky appendage on Corsola’s forehead emitted a blue glow, shooting out a blue-white bolt at lightning speed, far quicker than Braviary could evade while suffering from the curse.

Boom!

In the sky, a cloud of blue and white light exploded again.

However, this time, Braviary could not blow the smoke away with full momentum, and its massive body, large enough to carry a person, lost control and plummeted down, hitting the ground heavily with a thud.

Falling from a height caused it heart-wrenching pain.

But Braviary’s nature allowed it to endure easily, it struggled to rise.

Balza quickly shouted upon seeing this:

”Use Feather Rest!”

”Recovering in person? You’ve got nerve, young man! But too bad, no chance! Power Gemstone again!”

Baimu declared the match over.

Corsola shot out another jagged flash of lightning, white on the outside and blue inside, striking Braviary across more than half the field in a blink.

Bang!

The explosion echoed amidst the swirling smoke.

Hoopa’s cheering began to wane, sensing that Braviary had already fainted, ”Ba, Balza lost...”

This reminded it of all the scenes of Balza participating in the tournament.

Mei Yali and Luca covered their mouths in disbelief, while Kepu and Pete sighed and shook their heads.

Balza was stunned for a few seconds, only accepting the fact that he too was easily defeated by Baimu after the smoke cleared, revealing Braviary lying like a sick chicken.

Corsola had fought three battles in a row!

Onlookers whispered among themselves.

”Balza lost too!”

”Is the gap between the top sixteen and the winner so big?”

”Isn’t it that Corsola is strong? Balza’s Pokémon didn’t even damage Corsola much...”

”It seems like Baimu’s Pokémon are all quite durable; I’ve watched the matches, and except for Gengar, they’ve all fought with ease.”

Balza was undoubtedly the strongest young Trainer in the Valley of Creation and also a benchmark figure for the younger generation.

Even he was defeated so thoroughly, deepening the children’s admiration for Baimu.

Inside the field.

Corsola turned desperately.

”Roar!”

”Okay, got it, got it.”

Baimu collected this eager retiree and looked at Balza with a sigh.

The Cursed Body Trait has barely triggered since he started cultivating Corsola, almost as if it were a blank Trait.

Who’d expect Braviary to trigger it successfully.

Balza didn’t notice at once, or noticed but didn’t care, foolishly continuing to use Air Slash.

If you don’t lose, who will?

”Balza, your vision truly needs improvement, I finally understand why you’re stuck at the top sixteen.” Baimu walked into the field, squatting beside the revived Braviary, taking out an Orange Fruit to feed it.

Braviary glanced at its Trainer, seeing him nod in permission, cheerfully took it in its beak and swallowed it.

”Oh-woo~”

Balza lamented: ”Failing to notice the Cursed Body in time was indeed my oversight.”

Others gathered around, chattering that they hadn’t noticed either.

Baimu sweated.

Failing to notice your Pokémon’s state during a battle should be shameful for a Trainer!

How could anyone share insights like this?

”Your oversight is huge, you should brush up on your Pokémon battling knowledge more, Braviary’s strength is far from fully utilized, don’t rush to cultivate it, it’s you who needs to learn.”

He reached out, seeing Braviary had no aversion, and gently petted its head feathers.

Braviary is quite strong.

Even taking Mirror Reflection, Curse, and Power Gemstone, it hadn’t lost its fighting capability until another hit.

The Trainer’s command wasn’t very effective.

Balza asked blankly: ”Brush up on battling knowledge...in which aspect?”

”Every aspect! Reading more books and tactical cases won’t hurt, since you’re preparing to be a Trainer, then be professional, I’ll send you a reading list and video files later.”

Baimu knew well that there probably weren’t any qualified Trainer Schools in places like the Valley of Creation.

Balza’s lack of knowledge was quite normal.

As a Transmigrator.

He knew well that while he did have a lot of battling knowledge, without the game system’s notifications, he couldn’t recognize the techniques without some understanding.

For instance, Poison Powder is not only purple but also green, Hypnotic Powder is light blue or brown, Paralysis Powder is gold, orange as well.

Supplementing the various manifestations and states of techniques through the internet became a compulsory course.

Kepu and Pete squeezed in, bowing and begging: ”Please, let us have a copy too!”

”Big Brother Baimu, we want it too!”

Other children also joined the fun.

Hoopa followed, shouting: ”Hoopa wants it too! Give Hoopa a copy too!”

Baimu quickly handed this arduous task to Balza, then said: ”There’s a question, may I ask about your special abilities, are they shared externally?”

He revealed a friendly smile.
