System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Is it good to be skilled at boxing?

Of course, it is.

But if the situation is a surgeon performing surgery on the operating table while a boxer practices in the operating room with a semi-conscious patient, the surgeon would certainly fight you to the death.

Like the way a goose leaves tracks, everyone’s experiences will leave more or fewer marks on them, and the same is true for thought.

Many people’s thinking becomes rigid in this way; they consider everything based only on their accumulation and knowledge, and do not believe in anything else.

In teaching hospitals, surgeons first practice basic skills, stack up the heat of their basic skills, then use these fundamentals to deduce the surgical process, which is the right path.

If they first learn a very standard surgical process but do not thoroughly understand the basics or the surgeries, their thinking will become fixed by the processes they have learned.

Knowing what it is without knowing why it is can only make you use it, not take it apart.

The topmost surgeons certainly piece together the surgical process by adapting on the spot, rather than following some standard procedure.

Though the subway is fast, it’s not as flexible as a taxi.

Lan Hualuo shifted away from the previous topic and asked: ”It’s hard to say for now, how do you feel about your contact with him?”

Hu Cong chuckled: ”Master, Lu Cheng and I are classmates, roommates too; our relationship, to some extent, is fixed.”

”I won’t talk to you about his personality, it’s just that Lu Cheng, being able to reach such a level in such a short time, surprises me greatly.”

Lan Hualuo continued to ask: ”Did you mention the things I asked you to talk about?”

”Not really,” Hu Cong admitted frankly.

Lan Hualuo wasn’t surprised: ”Actually, Dai Linfang is quite good, his aptitude is not fundamentally weaker than yours.”

”It’s just that his ideas are a bit flighty, somewhat like my junior brother, not steady enough.”

”His capabilities can’t support his ideas, so he comes across as someone reaching beyond their grasp.”

”This Lu Cheng, to gain his fixed concept appreciation, certainly isn’t an ordinary person.”

”It’s just that his path is a bit wild, going from hand surgery to general surgery involving the spleen and liver, the span is too large.”

”If he doesn’t handle technique separation well, he might become another enhanced version of Dai Linfang.”

The physical distance between the hand, spleen, and liver isn’t far, but the surgical differences among these organs are much larger than the differences between men and women.

Hu Cong said: ”Master, since Lu Cheng made this choice, he probably has confidence in his heart.”

”Probably found a mentor who can guide and protect him.”

Hu Cong is a genius, but the more a genius learns deeply, the more they feel like they don’t know, and the more grateful they are to have found a great teacher; otherwise, in many areas, they would be in a state of neither entering nor not entering.

There are many entrance barriers to medicine, getting into a specialty just means you’ve pushed open the lowest threshold of entry.

Crossing this threshold only means you’ve studied, only knowing a little.

Hu Cong continued: ”I just find it perplexing, how Lu Cheng?”

”Can have so many ideas?”

Lan Hualuo, holding both hands, looked at Hu Cong: ”You could have them too, you just cut them off yourself!”

Hu Cong looked at Lan Hualuo, puzzled.

”Innovative ideas are mostly distractions, but there are those ’eureka’ moments too.”

”You overly believe in rigid adherence to what you’ve learned, methodically, all based only on what you’ve learned and seen.”

”But indeed, the essential difference between humans and animals is civilization, while individual differences lie in talking to oneself, which is the so-called wild thoughts.”

”Everything has two sides, you previously chose to withdraw and clear your mind, dropping your distractions, but you also cut off your occasional creativity.”

”You don’t like uncontrollable factors, and prefer more standardized, more objective, more formal things, that’s your choice.”

Whether distractions are good or bad is a philosophical problem, difficult to explore clearly in a short time.

Hu Cong, of course, wasn’t tangled with this: ”Wild thoughts?”

”That must have been quite an uncomfortable time.”

Lan Hualuo asked: ”Do you have a good relationship with Lu Cheng?”

Hu Cong shook his head: ”Just ordinary classmate relations.”

”Then why do you think so deeply?”

”Master, classmates and roommates can also think from each other’s perspective?”

”Why didn’t you think to help him before?”

Hu Cong’s voice was already pure: ”When poor, one should improve oneself.”

Lan Hualuo rolled his eyes: ”Your skills now aren’t exactly rich either.”

Hu Cong said: ”But it’s still slightly better than before, having compassion without the competence is a delusion.”

Hu Cong always spoke in this tone, and as his teacher, Lan Hualuo had long been accustomed to it, although Lan Hualuo was still quite surprised.

Generally speaking, very few people could cause Hu Cong to have emotional fluctuations under this tone: ”Do you think highly of this Lu Cheng? Would there be pressure?”

Hu Cong gave his master a strange look: ”He’s my classmate; he improves his skills, and I improve mine.”

Lan Hualuo furrowed his brows: ”He will work at Union Hospital in the future, also in E Province, you two are bound to meet.”

”But it’s just him taking this path, while I take another, each with our own paths to walk.”

Hu Cong’s gaze was pure: ”A few years ago, Lu Cheng returned to the County Hospital, while I was pursuing a Ph.D. at Zhongnan Hospital; he was experiencing himself, and I was experiencing myself.”

”There are many shortcuts, everyone has the chance to encounter them.”

”Master, you are my shortcut.”

Lan Hualuo liked Hu Cong, he could always express what others pretend to praise with the purest words and simplest tone.

This purity isn’t something that can be easily disguised by emotional intelligence or intelligence.

”Your cultivation is a bit higher than your master’s, Amitabha Buddha.” Lan Hualuo playfully teased.

Hu Cong pretended not to hear: ”Master, Lu Cheng wants to learn this technique, so I’ve sent him more video materials.”

”Including blood flow reconstruction, vascular grafting, nerve reconstruction, and nerve grafting. Some are confidential materials.”

”I think Lu Cheng is not a corrupt person, if he did leak or took ownership of our research team’s work, I am willing to take responsibility for it.”

Lan Hualuo’s gaze turned cold: ”How would you take responsibility?”

”Beat him up and report him.”

”I have left evidence.” Hu Cong is meticulous in his work.

”We shouldn’t be afraid of people learning things, only of malice that makes everyone’s efforts in vain.”

Lan Hualuo nodded: ”Give it if you give it, I’m not worried about you giving.”

”However, Lu Cheng’s bottom line might be lower than yours.”

”From how he rejected our invitation last time to sending us a message this time applying for a ’Advanced Study Program’ completion certificate, it proves my point.”

A person willing to throw away their face, the heart is colder, the hand more ruthless.

Lan Hualuo dared to define it this way because he understood Li Yuankun very well.

Hu Cong said: ”Master, I think we need to see what he’s letting go of things for.”

”Do you say he does it simply for the patient?” Lan Hualuo thought Hu Cong was somewhat obsessed, his tone slightly cold.

Hu Cong shook his head: ”No, Lu Cheng isn’t that noble. It’s his thirst for knowledge.”

Lan Hualuo suddenly sat up straight like a bolt due to the sudden understanding: ”How can you be sure of this?”

”Master, I approach it from the standpoint of necessity.”

”For Lu Cheng at the moment, just the spleen repair surgery to minimally invasive spleen repair surgery is enough to stand him out in front of national peers.”

”When chatting with him, I also heard him say he has his own ideas on the Liver Suturing Technique.”

”Based on the common surgical peer disdain hierarchy?”

”Does he need to covet our Trauma Surgery?”

Lan Hualuo suddenly flared up in anger: ”Hu Cong! Stand up for me!~”

Hu Cong stood up, but his voice remained calm: ”Master, you shouldn’t be angry, the more you get angry, it means you also recognize this hierarchy in your heart.”

In the eyes of General Surgery, Orthopedics is just swinging a big hammer, Hand Surgery is just tailoring!

Trauma Surgery is pure brutes!

Lan Hualuo started feeling restless, tugging his shirt collar, breathing rapidly: ”Your brain must be flooded.”

Hu Cong’s voice remained pure, his gaze pure: ”Life, after all, is more important than a leg.”

”Only living people think about living better; no one talks to the dead. If anyone does, I suspect their desire is probably to live.”
