System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Wu Xiang finished speaking and walked towards the director’s office.

Liang Shuhao was in a state of confusion. What did it mean by leaving it to others, what did it mean that Director Lu was useless?

A few seconds later, Liang Shuhao caught up: ”Director Wu, Director Lu promised me he would take over the patient, right?”

”Do you have a problem with comprehension?” Wu Xiang opened the key, opened the door, turned his head, and his eyes had more white than pupils.

Liang Shuhao nervously asked, ”Director Wu, what do you mean? Did Lu Cheng call you to complain?”

”Did he tell you to come?”

”If he didn’t want to do it, he could just call me. Why would he complain?”

Wu Xiang, hearing Liang Shuhao, who was the same age as Lu Cheng, not even daring to think of Lu Cheng performing Limb Preservation Surgery, while Lu Cheng had actually mastered this surgery, felt even more uncomfortable and waved dismissively: ”Lu Cheng successfully preserved the limb, didn’t amputate, you hurry and go on duty.”

”Think carefully about what you should learn and do in the future.”

Liang Shuhao was suddenly struck as if by lightning.

His mind was in an ethereal state as if struck by thunder.

Wu Xiang entered and closed the door for a long time before Liang Shuhao gradually became lost in thought: ”No amputation, limb preservation?”

”What does that mean?”

”Who is the traumatology surgeon?”

Liang Shuhao turned around, having already added Lu Cheng as a friend, quickly sent a string of question marks.

”Director Lu, did Director Wu say you didn’t amputate, that you did Limb Preservation Surgery on the patient this morning?”

”Limb Preservation Surgery on traumatic injury?”

”Director Lu, is Director Wu joking with me, or are you joking with our hospital?” Liang Shuhao wasn’t completely unfamiliar with Limb Preservation Surgery for traumatic injuries.

When it was first developed, the public accounts were sharing it wildly. After all, this was a treatment plan primarily researched by Hua Country, a pride of Hua Country’s orthopedics, worthy of recognition, praise, and sharing among peers.

But developing a technique is one thing; whether it can be promoted and be practical is another.

For example, hand surgery’s Tang Method of suturing has been proposed for thirty years, yet it’s not every clinical doctor’s standard practice. Only specialists in hand surgery, a minority, study and master it.

Thirty years!

Limb Preservation Surgery for traumatic injuries was proposed only three years ago. It’s estimated that in the Xiang Province’s Xiangya System, not many have truly mastered this technique.

”Yes, I’ve already reported and explained to Director Wu myself!~”

”After the surgery started, Director Wu immediately came to the emergency surgery room. The surgery was done by me and Director Wu together.”

”Dr. Liang, you needn’t bother reporting anything further to Director Wu.”

The words that Lu Cheng sent back, each word, each punctuation, were instinctively recognizable to Liang Shuhao, but together they seemed so unfamiliar.

Liang Shuhao felt as if his soul had just left his body for a moment.

Lu Cheng wasn’t originally from traumatology, working in emergency medicine, a director of traumatology playing outside general surgery?

What was this about traumatic injuries then?

Objectively existing, there was no concept of the soul leaving the body.

Hence, Liang Shuhao quickly regained his consciousness and continued to carefully read Lu Cheng’s reply for quite a while.

Liang Shuhao pretended to be calm for a long time before sending over a few thumbs-up emojis.

After that, he couldn’t type a single word anymore.

What did this feeling of defeat resemble?

At the age when I was learning how to insert intramedullary nails, Lu Cheng was already performing Limb Preservation Surgery for traumatic injuries?

While I was still doing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, Lu Cheng was already studying derivatives of any order?

When I was still young, confused, and in ambiguous unrequited love, Lu Cheng had already become a playboy surrounded by admirers?

At the age when I was undecided about writing a love letter, Lu Cheng had already picked up the whip...

When did Limb Preservation Surgery for traumatic injuries become so easy to learn?

Being a master’s and bachelor’s degree holder from Hengda University, Liang Shuhao immediately opened his Quark cloud drive, finding the ”second-hand materials” he had obtained who knows how long ago.

Click, download, transfer, play.

With a sincere pursuit for knowledge.

Ten minutes later, Liang Shuhao scrolled up his phone, switched to Douyin, began watching stories performed purely for love.

These stories, which teenagers would find melodramatic, seemed just right to the thirty-two-year-old Liang Shuhao...

Director Wu Xiang was in his office, making himself a cup of strong tea, truly strong tea, using four times the usual amount of tea leaves.

He liked drinking black tea, and once brewed, the tea was particularly red.

He took a small sip, and the taste was naturally very strong, strong enough to be somewhat bitter. Director Wu Xiang’s phone, open to the contact list, had locked on the contact who was the Vice Dean of the surgical department, Yao Xin.

Wu Xiang drank two cups, and after watering the orchid he bought with two rounds of sprinkling, he decided to call.

”What instructions do you have, Director Wu?” Yao Xin spoke very politely.

Wu Xiang was an old director of orthopedics, also a veteran predecessor of surgery. Although Yao Xin was the Vice Dean of the surgical department, he knew that if Wu Xiang hadn’t been involved in the traumatic center situation back then, he would likely be in his position.

This kind of veteran with emotional ties is still worthy of respect.

”Dean Yao, is there any news from the hospital regarding that approval I previously submitted to you?”

”Regarding the funding for the study of Limb Preservation Surgery for traumatic injuries,” Wu Xiang asked.

Studying surgery is a matter of utmost importance. When a hospital wants to start a new surgery, it’s not a spur-of-the-moment decision; it requires planning and preparation.

To study surgery, there is a standardized process. First, select candidates in the department who intend to learn a certain surgical technique!

Then, send these ’candidates’ to the target units for internships, to closely engage with the surgery, and lay the theoretical groundwork.
