Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Ah!”

The leading wild person suddenly let out a frenzied yell, the thunderous roar echoing through the mine tunnel, causing Yang Xiao, Du Tianxing, and Gu Beifeng, who were using both hands to hold up a piece of stone, to feel it trembling slightly.

Fortunately, they were about a hundred meters from the end of the tunnel, and the bending of the mine tunnel dissipated much of the force of the wild person’s roar.

If the wild person had roared directly at the stone, it’s likely the three of them wouldn’t have been able to withstand it, and the stone would have been overturned.

”Where are they? Where’s the Earth pig? Come out for me.”

The roaring wild person punched the stone wall,

With a ”crack”, a dent was made in the wall with debris flying, and cracks spreading three to four meters.

”Crack, crack, crack,”

The furious wild person kept smashing the walls at the end of the tunnel, big pieces of purple rock falling off.

Yang Xiao and the others, a hundred meters away, could feel the wall trembling slightly.

The three of them held their breath, pressing firmly against the stone; they knew if they were discovered, their lives were probably over.

Although the purple stone walls here were very hard, and the escape tunnel was deep enough, if these wild people found the escape tunnel, just a few punches from afar would be unbearable for Yang Xiao and the others.

Zhao Benling, Chi Lin, and Lao Jiu were now trying as hard as they could to crawl into the escape tunnel, which was narrow enough for only one person to fit.

The depth of the tunnel was over a hundred meters; they had already dug beyond that.

Because the tunnel was sloping upwards, making a slope of roughly 60 degrees.

Zhao Benling and the other dozen people were now crawling on the slope, already reaching the end, unable to go any further.

They could also hear the faint roaring sounds from the tunnel, each one of them was extremely frightened and didn’t dare to breathe loudly.

The four wild people smashed the wall at the end of the tunnel for a while, but found nothing.

”Stop smashing, what if you make the tunnel collapse? We could bury ourselves in it.”

”It’s strange, we clearly heard singing coming from here, the food in the front of the tunnel belongs to them too, why can’t we see anyone?”

”Where have these Earth pigs run off to? Did they fly?”

”Impossible, they must be hiding somewhere.”

”But, where in this mine tunnel can people hide?”

The wild people looked at each other.

However, wild people weren’t so foolish; one of them said,

”There must be a secret passage somewhere they’ve hidden in, and we didn’t notice.”

”Yes, there’s no light in the tunnel, the visibility is poor, they probably hid in some crevice, let’s go back and look.”

”No lights, huh.”

”I remember now, I have one here.”

One of the wild people took out a flashlight from their backpack and turned it on, instantly illuminating the nearby tunnel with a white beam of light.

The four wild people walked back along the tunnel, scrutinizing the surrounding walls, all the while cursing and complaining.

They were only checking for holes; when they saw parts of the wall with no holes, they walked past directly.

When they passed by the tunnel entrance where Yang Xiao and the others were hidden, Yang Xiao and the other two heard the footsteps and quickly held their breaths.

The wild people didn’t notice anything amiss and passed by in a flash.

Thus, the four wild people went all the way back to the bottom of the tunnel exit.

”Wracka wracka, damned to hell!”

Angrily, the wild person jumped around, roaring continuously.

The leader Ah Bao and the others standing above the mine found it strange—why was there no movement from below after such a long time?

Seeing light emanating from the top and several wild people standing there roaring, they were even more baffled.

What happened?

Ah Bao waved his hand, and two more wild people flew down.

The two wild people flew to the bottom of the tunnel and saw the four wild people roaring and shouting, and asked:

”What happened?”

”Wracka wracka, so infuriating, there’s no one here.”

”How can that be? Didn’t we hear singing?”

”There’s just no one here, we’ve looked up and down, and there’s no one; did we hear wrong?”

”How many mine shafts are there in this minefield?”

”Four.”

”Could it be in another shaft?”

”It’s possible.”

Several savages were no longer confident.

After all, they had only heard noises, and the noises were fleeting. Now that they hadn’t seen anyone, self-doubt was normal.

The two savages who came down later turned on the elevator at the bottom, went straight up to the entrance of the mine, and told the situation to their leader Ah Bao.

”Ho, is that so? Could it be that the noises we heard before were mistaken?”

”Are there any secret tunnels inside this mine?”

”No, they checked twice.”

...

Ah Bao was also uncertain now, starting to doubt whether his hearing was problematic.

Finally, grinding his teeth, he said:

”There are three other mine shafts, send two people down each shaft and search again.”

Thus, quickly, six Empire Level Realm savages flew into the other three tunnels, and minutes later, they all came back saying they hadn’t seen anyone.

Ah Bao’s face was grim, such a situation had never happened before.

”It can’t be that they took all the miners away, can it?”

”No, definitely not, boss, I saw with my own eyes that it was only the Iron Tower Guard and those in black cloaks who boarded the spaceship and left, they didn’t take the miners with them.”

Before attacking a particular mine, Ah Bao and his people would send someone to hide in the nearby forest to observe the situation. For the attack on this minefield, they had sent two savages to monitor the situation the day before.

They did this to prevent David and his people from setting up an ambush with a large number of men, ready to wipe them out in one fell swoop.

”If so, then where did the people go?”

”This?”

Tanaka Jiao of Ice Wolf Island stepped forward and said:

”Leader Ah Bao, I think the singing we heard before is right, that is the unique language of Xuanming Country on Earth, I am certain that they must be in the mine tunnels, or maybe, they are hiding in some secret passage we haven’t discovered yet,

This race is very cunning, when they fought our army before, they invented tunnel warfare, which gave us a major headache, just like now, clearly seeing people, but in a blink of an eye, they’re gone.”

Hearing Tanaka Jiao say so, Ah Bao nodded,

”Station people at the entrances of the other three tunnels; I will personally search this one. Tanaka Jiao, you come with me.”

”Hi!”

Tanaka Jiao gave a bow in the Ice Wolf Island manner.

Ah Bao and his people took the elevator to the bottom of the mine, and the savages took two lighting lamps from a few other people. These lamps, previously seized from the mines, contain batteries which, under normal circumstances, can last about a month even if left on for 24 hours.

”Search carefully; we must find the Earthlings before dawn and kill them. I want to give David a painful lesson so he never dares to cheat me again!”

”Wait!”

Tanaka Jiao stepped out.

”What kind of nonsense do you have to say?”

Ah Bao said coarsely.

Tanaka Jiao, putting on a smile,

”Leader Ah Bao, maybe the secret tunnel has been covered up. I suggest everyone search while tapping the surrounding walls with their hands. If there is a hollow sound, it indicates there may be a hidden chamber.”

As someone raised in the technological civilization of Earth, Tanaka naturally has more knowledge than the savages.

Hearing this, Ah Bao let out a heh-heh chuckle,

”That’s smart!”

So, the four savages with two lighting lamps began to search the mine again. This time, the four enraged savages walked while pounding the mine walls and the ground with their fists.

Crack, crack, ...

With the sound of explosions, a large amount of rubble sprayed down.

When one of the savages hit about 2 meters in front of the escape tunnel, the violent shaking alerted Yang Xiao and the other two to the great danger.

Finally, the savage reached the opening of the tunnel where Yang Xiao was hiding and smashed down with a fist.
