The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 444: Chapter 444: Ghania Quinlan and Zayn Fisher’s Faces Were Smashed_1

Zayn Fisher and Ghania Quinlan stood still.

First place? Nathalie Quinlan? There must be some mistake, right?

That was the only thought in their minds.

Ghania Quinlan was even more certain there had been an error. She had heard Ivy Wilmar

tell her that Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t passed and was going back to McKinney. How could Nathalie Quinlan possibly become the top scorer at Tsinghua University?

Her first reaction was to stand there awkwardly, biting her lip, and say anxiously, ”Must be someone with the same name?”

With no fewer than two thousand five hundred students attending the exam at Tsinghua University from all over the country, it was inevitable to encounter one or two people with the same name.

”You think it’s the same name?” Zeus Tanzil glanced at her disdainfully, unimpressed by her sore loser reaction, and put his hands casually in his clothes, his jaw slightly lifted as he said, ”I’ve seen the list for this exam and there’s only one person called that name, so it’s impossible to be the same name. And I couldn’t have read it wrong! Because her score is the kind you can’t forget after just one glance.”

”Zayn Fisher’s girlfriend also got a good score. I heard she ranked 9th,” Stewin Hoffman intervened, trying to smooth things over by putting his hand on Zeus Tanzil’s shoulder with a grin, ”The higher the ranks, the closer everyone’s scores get. I remember Ghania Quinlan scored 588, right?”

points was indeed not low. In the context of the university entrance exam, that score would qualify for first-tier universities, let alone this was not the university entrance exam, but the Tsinghua University independent recruitment exam, which was even more difficult.

Ghania Quinlan had originally been very satisfied with her score, believing it justified her hard work over the past month, but now she wasn’t as pleased. She felt as if there was a heavy stone pressing on her heart, and it would be hard to relax without getting things clear.

”Yes.”

Seeing her nod, Stewin Hoffman turned back and said to Zeus Tanzil, ”See, Ghania Quinlan got 588 points. That first place you’re talking about, I guess got at most just over 600, 605 or maybe 610?”

Ghania Quinlan still didn’t look good, her hands hanging by her sides were clenched tightly, her nails digging into her palms without her noticing, feeling like there was a hundred ants gnawing at her heart, a kind of intense discomfort.

Nathalie Quinlan got 600 points?

Ghania Quinlan turned pale.

Zeus Tanzil pushed away Stewin Hoffman’s hand with a sneer, showing no regard for preserving the feelings of Ghania and Zayn, and said casually, ”What you’re talking about applies to previous years. This year is different, Tsinghua has produced a genius, and all the department heads are going crazy trying to grab her. I heard that as soon as the scores were out, Professor Cheng declared that the finance department would offer whatever it takes to keep the student here. I think he intends to personally mentor her.”

Narrowing his eyes, Zeus Tanzil watched Zayn with a meaningful look and drawled, ”He hasn’t taken any students in over a year because he hadn’t found anyone he liked last year. Looks like we’re going to have a real freshman sister this time!”

If the finance department’s freshman sister were Nathalie Quinlan, then Zeus Tanzil felt pretty upbeat, almost like the sun was shining brightly, it was incredibly good news.

”...” Zayn Fisher realized he was being addressed, his handsome face turning pale as he struggled to restrain himself from confronting Zeus head-on.

The Tanzil family was not a family he could afford to provoke; by the same token, Zeus Tanzil was someone he needed to handle with care.

Only by siding with Zeus Tanzil could he smoothly enter Beijing’s elite circles.

Otherwise, no matter how powerful the Fisher family was, they were still from the small place of McKinney.

Stewin Hoffman didn’t understand the intricacies of social circles, and his curiosity was piqued by Zeus’s few words. After all, they were all young men in their early twenties and not so considerate or attentive.

Having already defended Ghania Quinlan once, Stewin didn’t consider her feelings much this time.
