The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 428: Chapter 428: Sending a Message to My Sister Like It’s a Romance_1

He spoke about the time when Audrick Zachmann publicly talked about Nathalie Quinlan, which almost led to her being cyberbullied.

Audrick Zachmann clearly remembered the incident, his face a bit unsightly. Without further words, he succinctly said, ”I’ll delete it immediately.”

Seeing that he understood, the agent said with relief, ”Deleting it is for the best. It won’t cause trouble for your sister. You’re too popular, and with so many connections in the entertainment circle, they can’t find anything to tarnish you with, so they target the people close to you. Your best protection for them is to avoid mentioning them. That Lighten Chaser...”

Speaking of Lighten Chaser, his agent’s face showed a hint of emotion, ”Although she’s not from the entertainment circle, she’s as famous as the top stars in the circle. It’s a pity she doesn’t mix in; otherwise, she would be another high-traffic star.”

Audrick wasn’t really listening to what was said; he just hurriedly deleted the moment he had posted and, deep in thought, couldn’t sit still and sent Nathalie a message.

[Audrick Zachmann: Nathalie, what are you up to? Have you gone to sleep?]

After sending the message, he sat there anxiously, allowing the stylist to fiddle with his hair, his gaze never leaving the phone.

He truly felt that the girl in the video resembled Nathalie!

The sound of her voice and the brand of her clothes concerned him immensely; he felt as if there were thousands of ants crawling in his heart. If not for the unfinished work he had on him, he would have desperately asked his agent to book him a flight right away, wanting to fly to Beijing.

His sent message sank like a stone into the sea, with no reply for a long while.

Audrick Zachmann felt disappointed, and glancing at the time on his phone, it was nearly ten o’clock. He dropped his eyelids, holding the phone somewhat agitatedly, and muttered to himself, ”Have you fallen asleep?”

No sooner had he spoken than the message notification flashed.

[QN: Not yet. About to sleep.]

Even through the screen, he could feel her casual indifference, as though she was replying with drooping lashes, emanating a relaxed and untamed air.

Audrick’s restless heart seemed soothed by a gentle hand, not as agitated as before. He originally wanted to ask Nathalie about her relationship with Lighten Chaser, but now he had forgotten it altogether. The corners of his mouth lifted involuntarily, and he foolishly stared at the message Nathalie had sent back, taking quite a while before he clumsily typed a response.

[Audrick Zachmann: I heard from Alfred Garland that you didn’t do well on your exam. Have the results come out? How did you do?]

After sending the message, he felt uneasy and lifted his head to ask his agent, his starry eyes full of earnestness, ”Old Wang, when your daughter doesn’t do well on a test, how do you console her?”

”Eh?”

His agent, a man in his forties, had his daughter with his wife when he was thirty. His daughter had just turned ten and often talked to him about her.

”Buy her some candy, take her out to play a bit. Girls are easy to console.”

Audrick eagerly pursued the question, ”Where do you take her to play?”

The agent was taken aback by the question, aware of many people in the studio looking their way. He feared by tomorrow there would be gossip in the circle about a top star secretly married and already having a daughter, feeling a headache coming on. Speaking deliberately louder, he said, ”Amusement parks, movie theaters, depends where she wants to go at the time. Your sister is in her final year, only two or three months away from the college entrance exams, why, did she not do well in the monthly test?”

He enunciated the word ”sister” clearly, warding off many of the gossiping glances.

Audrick didn’t care whether the people around would gossip about him. He entered the entertainment industry more for fun than anything; his outstanding looks just made him a top star.
