The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 405: Chapter 405: Which One Isn’t More Attractive Than the Chinese Medicine Department_1

Alfred Garland had wanted to persist a bit longer and take the opportunity to ask Nathalie Quinlan if she really planned to apply for the Chinese Medicine program.

Honestly, before he saw Nathalie Quinlan’s grades, he thought even getting into the Chinese Medicine program could be a problem for her, but now he knew her results—first place at Tsinghua University!

Perfect score!

The greatest genius in history!!!

With Nathalie Quinlan’s results, not pursuing a top-tier major would truly be a waste!

Finance, Clinical Medicine, which one doesn’t smell better than Chinese Medicine?

Why would Ms. Quinlan choose a dying, unpopular major?

Because of this, Alfred Garland felt as if there was a fishbone stuck in his throat, helplessly watching as Amadeus Yancey nonchalantly agreed to Ms. Quinlan’s decision.

”Off you go.”

Alfred Garland: ...

Since they were choosing a gift for the little one, Nathalie Quinlan was quite serious and patiently strolled through the alleys outside the courtyard houses following the flow of people.

The alleys crisscrossed among various courtyard houses, which were originally residential compounds but gradually developed into tourist attractions. As the number of visitors increased, the ordinary houses outside turned parts of their homes into shops and redecorated, transforming the vicinity into a tourist area.

In the deeper parts of the alley, like the courtyard house where Amadeus Yancey took her to dine, it was still a residential area.

This also led to cars often driving into the narrow alleys, and outsiders who didn’t recognize the license plates might mistake those cars for ordinary sedans.

But locals from Beijing could understand the significance of license plates like Beijing 0869.

Nathalie Quinlan watched a car with the Beijing license plate 77999 drive by and thought of the HQ car that Amadeus Yancey drove—it was low-key, but the plate was assertive and domineering.

888666.

This license plate didn’t begin with a 0, but it seemed even harder to get than one starting with a 0.

However, it was quite in line with someone’s style.

Appears low-key and restrained, yet everywhere reveals an extraordinary status.

It was too easy to find a toy store in a tourist attraction that sold toys kids would love—Nathalie Quinlan found one within a few steps.

She entered and chose a few toys that children would like, paid, and just as she left the store, she sent Amadeus Yancey a message, asking them to send her their location so she could find them.

Unexpectedly, someone called out to her from behind.

”Nathalie Quinlan?”

This voice was unfamiliar to her, certainly not one she often heard.

Nathalie Quinlan turned around and saw a group of young men and women walking together not far away. The girl who called her name was tall, wearing a shirt and stonewash blue jeans. With her height and figure, the simple style gave her an unrestrained elegance.

”Wait for me a second.”

Caryn Zachmann initially thought she was seeing things and hesitantly called out to the person in front, but when she turned around, she really saw a face she didn’t want to see.

After telling her friends to wait, she approached Nathalie Quinlan with a stiff expression, walking swiftly, her gaze arrogant and disdainful, hands crossed over her chest: ”What are you doing here in Beijing? Is Audrick Zachmann not with you? Didn’t he come together with you?”

At this point, she suddenly remembered the figure she saw outside the Imperial Hotel that day, which she felt resembled Nathalie Quinlan.

She had been unsure before because she thought Nathalie Quinlan was supposed to be studying in McKinney.

Now, the person who was supposed to be studying in McKinney was standing right in front of her, making it impossible for her not to overthink.

A faint look of disgust crossed her face, not wanting to introduce Nathalie Quinlan to her friends, let alone let anyone know she had an additional cousin.

”Why are you not studying in McKinney and instead running around in Beijing?”
