The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 438: Chapter 438: What Kid Has More Face Than Me_1

Nathalie Quinlan wanted to major in Chinese Medicine, and yesterday, she humbled herself to make three or four phone calls to that person, painstakingly trying to persuade them to come over and see, as there was a promising medical student this year. However, the other party remained unmoved, even questioned whether Nathalie was a relative of theirs, which was why they were so eagerly selling to them. They were so irritated that they nearly blocked the person, vowing never to deal with them again.

They had never expected the person would actually come today!

The elder glanced at the girl standing in the center of the room, who appeared quite different from the one in the video. In the video Amadeus Yancey showed him, the girl was in an operating room, where the situation was critical; she wore surgical attire and looked serious and dedicated. Out of surgical garb and in regular clothes, she seemed less strict than she did in the operating room, but the unruliness in her demeanor caught his attention.

Mr. Avalon, with his hands clasped behind his back, withdrew his gaze and replied to Shawn Norton with an air of effortless strength, ”A young friend found me this morning. They convinced me, so I came to take a look.”

”Young friend? What young friend?” Shawn Norton, confused, followed behind him, discontentedly asking, ”I ask you to come, and you won’t, but some young friend has more face than I do?”

Mr. Avalon gave him a glance but did not reveal the name of that ’young friend’.

Yet in his heart, he marveled at the remarkable nature of today’s youth; he had no intention of taking on more students, but had been persuaded by the sharp-tongued arguments of this individual to come here.

Winston Sullivan was thrilled, his hands clenched tightly as he looked towards him and said, ”Teacher, how did you come here?”

Not only he wanted to know the answer to this question; everyone present, including Shawn Norton, wanted to know, not to mention Adelle Wafford and the others, all of whom focused their attention on the elder. Her face color was not very good, but she still maintained a respectful demeanor, also standing up,

The elder walked up to Nathalie Quinlan, his eyes underneath his celestial appearance very black, as if piercing into Nathalie’s soul. His voice, however, was quite gentle, ”Your name is Nathalie Quinlan?”

”Hmm.”

Mr. Avalon was the top figure in Chinese Medicine domestically and also enjoyed a high reputation internationally; he was even a member of the International Medical Association, an organization that even Adelle Wafford didn’t qualify to join.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t care for his renown but respected his professional accomplishments, tempering the casualness in her eyes, she replied with respectful composure, ”Yes.”

Mr. Avalon noticed her subtle change, his eyes becoming even more benevolent, and succinctly stated his purpose, ”I have seen the way you performed surgery in McKinney. Have you studied Chinese Medicine?”

Everyone tends to think only Western medicine involves surgical knife work, unaware that Chinese Medicine has long possessed such techniques, but modern people tend to focus on the outside world, forgetting the culture passed down by their ancestors.

He always believed that when it came to culture, they should discard the dross and absorb the essence!

Yet, the reality was that as they removed the dross, they also dismissed the positive aspects of their own culture!

In recent years, his enthusiasm had waned, and he had lost interest in teaching students.

If no one was willing to believe in Chinese Medicine, what purpose did he, as a teacher, even have?

Nathalie Quinlan pressed down the brim of her cap, her snow-white and delicate face expressionless, but her eyes were black and bright, ”I’ve been exposed to it.”

Mr. Avalon, listening to her straightforward answer, smiled slightly, his gaze profound, ”Young friend, I watched your video, and what you demonstrated was more than mere exposure. I’m familiar with the techniques you used in the video, and not just anyone could do that. You are very good! I haven’t seen anyone your age in the medical field with such talent and ability. At least, I wasn’t as good as you when I was your age.”

”Would you be interested in learning more about Chinese Medicine in-depth?”
