The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 435: Chapter 435: I Can Connect You with Top-Level Connections and Resources_1

Nathalie Quinlan raised the corners of her eyes and searched through a group of teachers, unable to spot who she was looking for.

With her hands in her pockets, the corners of her eyes casually drooping, she said in a relaxed tone, ”The Department of Chinese Medicine.”

Here it came.

Adelle Wafford’s face turned extremely ugly, her hands tightly clutching the student files, the A4 paper almost crumpled into a ball without her noticing, her eyes fixed on the girl in the center of the hall, as if she wanted to tear Nathalie Quinlan apart.

”You say, which department do you want to study in?” Derliand Gober’s face wasn’t looking good either, his eyes narrowed, he seriously reminded her, ”Nathalie Quinlan, I believe you have done your research about Tsinghua University before coming here. Choosing a major is a lifelong decision, and you must choose carefully!”

Listening to his words, Winston Sullivan, who was originally surprised and excited, found it hard to contain himself. He slapped the table and confronted Gober, ”Professor Gober, what do you mean by that? How is choosing our Department of Chinese Medicine not a careful choice? Must the students choose your Finance Department to be considered careful in their decision?!”

Leaning back in his chair, Gober replied with confidence and scorn, ”Mr. Sullivan, I’m just advising the student to think again. Is there any need for your anger? Is the Finance Department the right choice? Doesn’t the turnout of students here for the interviews today say it all, did anyone choose your Department of Chinese Medicine?”

”You!” Winston Sullivan was so angry his face turned green, yet Gober had hit the nail on the head. In the matter of recruitment, the Department of Chinese Medicine had been unable to hold its head up high for so many years and had no choice but to lie flat and accept ridicule.

Finally there was a promising newcomer willing to choose their Department of Chinese Medicine. Even after being ridiculed, Sullivan still didn’t want to give up. He turned around and forced a gentle expression, looking at Nathalie Quinlan, ”Nathalie, right? You absolutely made the right choice selecting the Department of Chinese Medicine. As long as you join our department, all our teachers will take good care of you. You will be the most precious student of our department!”

Gober added coolly from the side, ”That’s because the Department of Chinese Medicine barely has any students, isn’t it? Naturally, any student will be treated like a treasure, but is it useful?”

University is a miniaturized society, and choosing the right people to associate with is very important.

The Department of Chinese Medicine not being able to make a name for itself over the years, people like Winston Sullivan have been dragged down along with it, their faces covered in dust. For so many years they couldn’t even get into the Medical Association. Compared to Adelle Wafford, who at such a young age had already become the president of the national Medical Association, it was a sight they couldn’t bear to look at.

With such good grades, Nathalie Quinlan’s choice of the Department of Chinese Medicine was undoubtedly sabotaging her own future!

His gaze settling heavily on Nathalie Quinlan, filled with regret, he asked again, ”Nathalie Quinlan, are you sure you don’t want to consider studying Finance? If you choose the Finance Department, I could personally mentor you. I can mentor you, and the connections and resources you’ll be exposed to are beyond anything you could encounter in school. After you graduate and step into society, these connections and resources will also help you.”

He said this with great confidence, as only someone with strong backing could make such a statement publicly.

Clearly, Gober believed he was someone with the absolute power to make such a claim!

In the younger generation of Tsinghua University, aside from him and Adelle Wafford, only people like Shawn Norton and Mr. Avalon were qualified to speak in this way.

If Nathalie Quinlan was smart, she would certainly understand his words.

”Nathalie Quinlan, think it over carefully,” Gober leaned back in his chair, his black suit looked formal and strict on him, yet it couldn’t hide the superiority that seeped through his demeanor.
