The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 422: Chapter 422: Amadeus Was Prepared Long Ago_1

Amadeus Yancey looked at him amused at his words, lazily asking in return, ”Does she need to find a job?”

Alfred Garland felt what it was like to lift a rock only to drop it on his own feet, fell silent for a moment, but still stood there, and then said, ”But Amadeus, a major in Chinese Medicine is really subpar! With Ms. Quinlan’s outstanding performance, studying Chinese Medicine would be a waste. At the very least, she should study finance, or if she really likes, she could go for a clinical major. The clinical department has Adelle Wafford, and the Zachmann Family’s Ms. Caryn Zachmann is a distinguished student from the clinical department at Tsinghua University, saying she graduated from a prestigious university and a top major carries weight when mentioned.”

The fact that Ms. Quinlan is Amadeus’s fiancée is a piece of news that will eventually come out.

Given Amadeus’s status and position, when that happens, many in Beijing will surely take notice of Ms. Quinlan. Ms. Quinlan can’t possibly tell others she’s the miraculously skilled healer from the Black Market known around McKinney, so she’ll need a legitimate identity!

”Isn’t Miss Caryn thriving in high society precisely because she has that kind of status? Ms. Quinlan will surely look to establish herself in Beijing in the future, so why not choose a better major to ease her way into those circles?”

Every upper echelon of society is exclusive, and many people go to great lengths to gain entry with no success. If that’s the case even in a third-tier city like McKinney, needless to say, the situation in the competitive jungle of Beijing.

Amadeus himself has such a status, and if Ms. Quinlan is to walk shoulder to shoulder with him in the future, relying solely on her connection with the Zachmann Family won’t suffice!

He genuinely liked Nathalie Quinlan and was considering her best interests when he was anxious about her choice of major.

Amadeus Yancey could see the urgency in his eyes, and he could tell he had Nathalie Quinlan’s best interests at heart, which was somewhat surprising to him. Setting down the replica gun he was holding, squinting his eyes to look at him, he suddenly asked, ”Didn’t you have a poor opinion of her before?”

Alfred Garland was taken aback by the question, stood there thinking for a moment, then looked up with a resolute expression on his face, speaking in a muffled tone, ”I wasn’t familiar with Ms. Quinlan before, I admit I underestimated her, but as we got to know each other better and spent so much time together, plus both you and the young master favor Ms. Quinlan, and the young lady speaks highly of her too, there’s no reason for me to continue looking down on her.”

His face turned a bit red, looking somewhat awkward: ”Besides, Ms. Quinlan has been good to me, always remembering to bring me a gift whenever she buys any! The human heart is made of flesh. I keep Ms. Quinlan’s kindness in mind. Sometimes I’m too embarrassed to say it, but I know it in my heart.”

Amadeus Yancey withdrew his gaze, his look deep and thoughtful, said nothing, and just commented, ”Remember what you said today, and don’t forget it later!”

Alfred Garland scratched his head, his face blushing as he continued the conversation, ”What’s there to forget about that.”

Speaking, his expression turned serious as he added, ”Don’t worry, Amadeus, I definitely won’t forget.”

Amadeus was having him pick a side, making a definite choice, to side with Ms. Quinlan now and stay on her side in the future.

He understood.

But he had no regrets.

Nathalie Quinlan was worth it!

”Mm,” Amadeus Yancey hummed in agreement as the phone on the table lit up. He picked up the phone and glanced at the message.

Looking up, he told him, ”Mr. Avalon has replied to the message. Join me tomorrow morning to go to Leaf Garden for that thing, and then we’ll pay a visit to Mr. Avalon.”

Alfred Garland’s eyes lit up, excitedly asking, ”Amadeus, you got an appointment with Mr. Avalon?”

It’s not easy to get an appointment with Mr. Avalon, Amadeus is impressive indeed.

Ever since finding out that Nathalie Quinlan had chosen a major in Chinese Medicine, Amadeus had been considering the matter of finding her a teacher, and through some connections, he had managed to arrange a meeting with Mr. Avalon. Mr. Avalon was not easy to meet; even he had been rejected twice, and this was the third attempt, finally landing him an appointment.

He always liked to be certain of his actions; Amadeus Yancey looked down, drawing in the arrogance in his eyes, and flipped through his phone book, sending a message to Candice Yancey.
