The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 441: Chapter 441: Nathalie Quinlan Doesn’t Want to Learn Yet_1

Just when Ghania Quinlan self-recommended herself to the Music Department, Mr. Norton remained indifferent and turned her down right away.

Now, he was proactively asking a student who had chosen Chinese Medicine about a minor.

Adelle Wafford and Derliand Gober’s face colors turned ugly, completely baffled by the scene unfolding before them.

—What charm did this Nathalie Quinlan possess that made her the sole student to catch the eye of the two honorary professors at Tsinghua University?!

”You’re majoring in Chinese Medicine, so you should choose a minor. If you’re majoring in medicine, it wouldn’t make sense for your minor to be related to medicine as well. That would be so boring,” Shawn Norton didn’t care what others thought of his actions at the moment. He was entirely focused on persuading Nathalie Quinlan, ”How about studying music?”

The music teachers: ...

She hastily glanced over Nathalie Quinlan’s student profile.

Not a single word was written in the ”special talents” section.

It was completely empty!

Indeed, she hadn’t remembered wrong; this student named Nathalie Quinlan really hadn’t listed any musical talents for herself.

Unlike Ghania Quinlan, who had achieved grade eight in piano and had a simple understanding of other instruments, she didn’t know how to play any instruments.

The music teacher was a bit lost, unsure why Shawn Norton had taken a liking to such a student with no basic foundation.

The Music Department was different from other departments; it had strong professional requirements. Learning an instrument wasn’t something one could accomplish overnight. Nor could one learn it well merely by having good grades in Language, Mathematics, and Foreign Language. These skills required a student to have started learning from a young age, to have a solid foundation. Only then could they guide the student, teaching them more about the technical aspects.

As far as Nathalie Quinlan was concerned... the music teacher, to be frank, could not understand the meaning behind Shawn Norton’s actions.

She didn’t understand, nor did she dare to interrupt, let alone confront Shawn Norton and say he was wrong, that they couldn’t teach this student.

After all, the temperament and disposition of their department’s honorary professor was different from Mr. Avalon in the Chinese Medicine Department.

Mr. Avalon was the kind who was gentle with the knife.

As for their Mr. Norton...

Remembering how he had just bluntly refused the girl who had volunteered herself, the music teacher silently closed her mouth tight. She didn’t want to be publicly humiliated by Mr. Norton, so she decided to wait and see...

”Music can cultivate one’s sentiment, and you can also use it to take a break when you’re tired and bored of studying Chinese Medicine, find some fun,” Shawn Norton continued.

Winston Sullivan: ”...”

Boring Chinese Medicine?

He unexpectedly felt as if he had been struck by a knife.

Mr. Avalon, on the other hand, had no reaction; his face remained indifferent. Obviously not new to Shawn Norton, he understood his tendencies well, knowing that there was no malice in his words, however blunt they might be.

He just looked at Nathalie Quinlan with surprise, seeming a bit puzzled, not understanding why Norton had also taken an interest in Nathalie Quinlan.

Nathalie Quinlan had never considered taking two courses in university, as she was busy with many things. Even in high school, she didn’t want to bother going to college and having to head to school every day.

”I might not have the time,” she said.

This response was more or less a rejection.

But Shawn Norton acted as if he didn’t understand the meaning of rejection. He immediately replied amiably, ”That’s alright, I have the time, I’ll wait for you. When you’re free, we’ll learn, and when you’re not, you tend to your matters. I won’t restrict you, how about that?”

Nathalie Quinlan’s temples throbbed suddenly, and she very much wanted to retort with ’How about not.’

However, Shawn Norton was staring at her with a pair of expectant eyes, unblinking, which made it very difficult for her to utter the words of rejection.

She felt some irritation in her heart, realizing that since she left the Quinlan family, her heart had softened more and more, and it became harder for her to reject others. Somewhat annoyed, she narrowed her dark eyes and sighed, ”I really might not be able to make the time. If you think it’s fine just to have my name registered, then I have no problem with that.”
