The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 413: Chapter 413: Nathalie, Your Disguise is Slipping_1

The president of Tsinghua University spoke to him with profound meaning, ”Mr. Zachmann, your granddaughter did so well on her exams, you should prepare to treat everyone to a meal!”

Mr. Zachmann was a mix of emotions as he clutched his phone, unable to come back to his senses for a long time, with his muscles twitching excitedly. It took him a while before he managed to squeeze out a perfunctory response, ”Definitely, definitely.”

He hung up the phone.

As soon as Leonardy Zachmann stepped out of the living room, he saw him sitting in the garden and quickly walked over, resting his hand on his wheelchair to share his thoughts.

”Dad, don’t worry too much! I’ll think of another way for Nathalie’s university admission. There are so many universities in Beijing, it doesn’t have to be Tsinghua. I’ll ask the other university presidents tomorrow, there’s bound to be one that will accept her.”

Mr. Zachmann took a moment to digest this and had regained his composure. Hearing his son’s words, he suddenly glared at him, his joy nearly impossible to conceal. He placed the phone on his lap, feigning anger as he said, ”Who says it doesn’t have to be Tsinghua? Nathalie must go to Tsinghua! And it’s not us who wants to attend Tsinghua; it’s Tsinghua that’s begging us to go!!”

Leonardy Zachmann: ”???”

Seeing the old man with joy written all over his face, he wore an expression of not knowing how to react, ”Dad, have you lost your mind?”

Mr. Zachmann didn’t seem to be speaking sarcastically.

But with Nathalie’s grades, even if their family donated money to construct a building, Tsinghua might not be willing to accept her.

What was going on with Tsinghua that they would actually plead with them to attend? It’s Tsinghua University, not just any run-of-the-mill college!

The Zachmann Family had some connections in Beijing, and Mr. Zachmann’s protégés were spread across various fields, with many willing to give their family ’face’, but Tsinghua was unlike any ordinary institution. Many families with better conditions than theirs struggled to get their children in to add luster to their names, let alone them.

Unless...

Unless the Yancey Family was willing to come forward.

If Mr. Yancey was willing to back Nathalie, it wouldn’t be impossible for them to go through this backdoor route!

Mr. Zachmann looked at him with an air of self-satisfaction and retorted, ”Do I look like I’m angry?”

Leonardy Zachmann took a careful look.

He shook his head with an indescribable expression, ”No, you don’t.”

Instead, he looked as happy as if he had won a $50 million lottery!

Leonardy Zachmann couldn’t contain his impatience and didn’t want to beat around the bush any longer. He walked up to him and said helplessly, ”Dad, stop beating around the bush. What exactly happened? What do you mean Tsinghua is asking us to attend? Just tell me straight out!”

Mr. Zachmann looked at him and recounted the news he had just learned, ”I just called the president of Tsinghua, and he told me, Nathalie scored a perfect score on her independent admissions test, 650! This score is unprecedented, and now every department wants to recruit her. He’s afraid that Nathalie might decide to study abroad, and he kept telling me over the phone not to let our domestic talent slip away...”

Ericko Zachmann couldn’t control his excitement, his hands still trembling. He placed his hands behind his back, his eyes burning as he looked at his equally stunned son, speaking with an excitement and pride he couldn’t hide, ”I didn’t expect Nathalie to do so well! She ranked first in Tsinghua! She truly is my granddaughter, hahaha, she hasn’t let me down. Oh right, since Nathalie did so well, we should host a meal. We haven’t formally acknowledged our relationship yet, so this time we won’t invite outsiders, just a meal for the family, calling all the relatives. What do you think?”

He had originally planned to arrange a banquet once Nathalie Quinlan finished her university exams and came to attend school in Beijing, to formally announce that he had found his granddaughter!

But this was an enormous joyous occasion, and he couldn’t wait to grab a loudspeaker and tell everyone that the first place in Tsinghua’s independent admissions test was his granddaughter, Ericko Zachmann’s own flesh and blood!!
