The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 442: Chapter 442: Is Nathalie Quinlan Toxic?_1

So arrogant?

Mr. Norton invited her, and she said she could only hang a name, not necessarily having the time to learn.

Everyone had the same thought in their hearts—this Nathalie Quinlan is too audacious!

Only Shawn Norton took it for granted, not minding her attitude at all, and chuckled, ”Hanging a name is also fine, as long as you’re willing to hang it, you’ll always find the time.”

Nathalie Quinlan couldn’t argue with him, reined in the frustration in her eyes, pressed down her cap, and could only reply, ”Whatever you say.”

”Then it’s settled, you’ll minor in music, and I’ll personally mentor you.” Shawn Norton had been waiting for her to say this, eager to set it in stone as if afraid she would change her mind, and hastily had the Music Department’s teacher quickly note it down, as if it wasn’t Nathalie Quinlan seeking to learn music, but him begging her to do so.

The huge disparity stunned everyone onlookers.

Adelle Wafford’s mouth twitched, and it took her a long while to come back to her senses, her face color could no longer be maintained while looking at the two domestically renowned elders in the room.

This Nathalie Quinlan is toxic, right?

Within the Tsinghua University campus, Ghania Quinlan walked dispiritedly on the path, with Zayn Fisher and his group of roommates waiting outside. When Ghania Quinlan appeared, Zayn Fisher’s handsome and clean-cut face revealed a slight smile as he quickly walked towards her.

Being tall and with long legs, he covered the distance in a few strides and lowered his head, gently gazing at her, ”How was it, how did the exam go?”

Today, Ghania Quinlan wore a Mori-style academy skirt, with a decorative bowtie adorned with small flowers, immensely fresh and youthful, perfectly highlighting her gentle and delicate qualities, making her appear fragile and lovely, stirring a protective feeling. Her face was a bit pale, making her skin look even better; her eyelashes fluttered, and she said somewhat despondently, ”Mr. Norton didn’t listen to the piece I prepared.”

Zayn Fisher was taken aback for a moment, then comfortingly said without much surprise, ”Don’t overthink it. Mr. Norton not listening doesn’t mean he doesn’t like you, he just doesn’t want to mentor students.”

Ghania Quinlan bit her lip, feeling in her heart that it was not so simple, and distractedly said, ”Is that so?”

Mr. Norton did not want to mentor students, so why did he participate in Tsinghua’s independent recruitment interview process this time, against his usual practice? If he came, it indicated he was interested in accepting students.

Not wanting to listen to her CD could only mean he was not impressed with her!

Ghania Quinlan felt quite upset, but upon reflection, couldn’t understand which of the dozen students who had passed had more talent in music and were more likely to catch Mr. Norton’s eye.

Zayn Fisher’s roommate Stewin Hoffman also came over. Hearing their conversation, he patted Ghania Quinlan’s shoulder and said jovially, ”Junior, your boyfriend isn’t lying to you. All of us at Tsinghua know that Mr. Norton is just a name in the Music Department, he doesn’t mentor students. It’s normal he didn’t accept you; if he did, we would have found it strange.”

While saying this, he nud Leng Leng with his elbow, seeking confirmation, ”Right, Zeus?”

”Oh.” Zeus Tanzil was even more absent-minded than Ghania Quinlan, not even glancing at her, and only responded after his roommate nudged him, clearly not having caught what they were discussing.

Zayn Fisher didn’t pay attention to what they were saying, his main focus remained on his girlfriend, his gaze tender, and he gently asked, ”Let’s not talk about Mr. Norton’s matter for now, you’ll have more chances to meet Mr. Norton once you’re in Tsinghua. If you don’t succeed in becoming his student this time, you’ll have other opportunities. First, tell me about your exam, do you think you passed?”

During the interview, Ghania Quinlan saw a music teacher mark a circle next to her name, so she had an idea.

At the mention of this, her mood improved a bit, a smile appeared in her eyes too, she shyly lowered her head and said softly, ”I should have passed, I saw the teacher mark a circle by my name. Zayn, that means I passed, right?”
