Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 750: Chapter 224: Others’ Doubts_3

”Alright, let me know next time when we arrive.”

”Okay.”

After the communication between Chen Ming and Song Pu ended, a day quickly passed.

Song Pu, who was at the Rebel Headquarters, once again ended a conversation with Chen Ming.

He just learned that Chen Ming had reached the fourth Industrial Colony and would soon begin the fourth expansion.

This was because Chen Ming had intentionally taken a slightly longer break after the third colony’s expansion before starting the fourth.

This efficiency has once again exceeded Song Pu’s expectations.

In just over a day, three colonies were done, and Chen Ming was about to completely control and expand the fourth.

This means that in just two or three more days, Chen Ming could secure all eleven Industrial Colonies in the Star Zone under their control.

This efficiency is truly remarkable.

It’s the same on Hong Guanghong’s side too.

To keep up with Chen Ming’s efficiency, he hasn’t taken any breaks and has been preparing blueprints for the upcoming Industrial Colonies for over thirty consecutive hours.

Although one cannot sleep in this deep simulation due to consciousness acceleration, necessary rest is still important.

Hong Guanghong is also pushing himself to the limit.

Since others are working, Song Pu naturally has to work too.

As someone responsible for battlefield coordination and overall situation management, he must grasp the overall situation well.

And the overall situation includes not only the Rebels themselves but also the opponents.

In a team-based simulation battle, although every team member is important, missing one person doesn’t mean the battle can’t continue.

Even if the opponents are disadvantaged because Cheng Xinghai is captured, they won’t give up easily and will be seeking some sort of opportunity.

So, Song Pu has recently intensified the investigation on the Government Army.

After signing a document, Song Pu said to the waiting secretary, ”How’s that matter going?”

”Proceeding smoothly, there are people in the Government Army who sympathize with us, and after developing some informants, they have successfully infiltrated the interior of the giant shipyard.”

”Three people in the department responsible for repairing the giant shipyard have been turned, including one in the management.”

”Unless something unexpected happens, this department will continue to be responsible for the Main Ship’s maintenance after the giant shipyard repair is complete.”

”It’s expected that they’ll be able to access core operations and sabotage the giant shipyard within a week.”

Song Pu nodded satisfactorily and said, ”Hmm, let them continue this work, and notify me immediately if there’s any news.”

”If the Government Army wants to tackle us, repairing the giant shipyard and deploying the Main Ship from there is the most convenient way, and we absolutely can’t let them do that.”

The secretary silently noted Song Pu’s words.

After a slight pause, Song Pu continued to ask, ”Is there any other movement from the Government Army?”

The secretary replied, ”After signing the ceasefire agreement, the Government Army’s armed forces have started moving toward the edge of Galor-3, according to the agreement, and there seem to be signs of organizing negotiations.”

”However, one thing is odd, their propaganda hasn’t stopped and they seem to be trying to pressure us in public opinion; two issues have particularly started to ferment.”

”Which two?”

The secretary glanced at Song Pu and cautiously said, ”The incident where we accidentally injured civilians at our headquarters.”

Song Pu’s expression didn’t change as he frankly said, ”This is easy to resolve, just openly state that an unknown fault occurred in the communication system and subtly imply Government Army espionage.”

”I’ve already instructed the relevant departments to handle the aftermath, compensations for the deceased and injured have been provided, and we’ve obtained the families’ forgiveness.”

As the secretary was about to contact some personnel via the terminal.

Song Pu waved to stop him and said, ”Wait, let’s not rush to respond with our own propaganda.”

”First, use the Government Army’s news agencies to report our handling of the aftermath and publish it, but don’t give it too much publicity, let this news settle quietly.”

”Once public opinion starts to ferment, then respond with our propagandists; whatever the Government Army tries to stir up, they’ll ultimately have to bear the consequences.”

”We should have personnel on the Government Army’s side for this kind of task, right?”

The secretary promptly nodded, ”Yes, I’ll get it done shortly.”

”Good, what’s the other issue?”

The secretary glanced at the file in his hand and said, ”It’s about that gentleman who visited you two days ago.”

Song Pu turned toward the secretary and asked, ”Chen Ming? It’s not about what he’s doing with the Government Army, is it?”

”Yes, the opposition is claiming that a spy we sent caused a terrorist attack at a civilian space airport, resulting in significant property loss.”

”Does the Government Army have any footage?”

”They do.”

The secretary immediately handed the terminal to Song Pu, which was playing a news clip.

However, the footage was quite blurry, only showing some intense explosion scenes and subsequent disaster recovery at the civilian space airport, cleaning up debris and ruins, without exposing Chen Ming’s Psychic identity.

After watching it, Song Pu’s inner turmoil completely settled, and he said, ”No worries, this is also easy to handle; I’ll show you a document, and you’ll understand.”
