Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 740: Chapter 222: Action Route

Cheng Xinghai looked at the cuff on his wrist and noticed that Chen Ming also had something similar on his wrist, and asked, ”What’s this for?”

”It’s an extension of my Spiritual Power; you can probably imagine its effects.”

”Is it to restrain me?”

Chen Ming nodded, placing his hand on the handle of the wheelchair and said, ”Alright, it’s time to go.”

Cheng Xinghai slightly waved his right wrist, and said, ”Haven’t you already put restraints on me? Instead of just throwing me into prison or finding somewhere to detain me, where are we going?”

”Even with this thing, I don’t feel secure; after all, you’re a Psychic. Letting you out alone is too dangerous. I have to keep an eye on you.”

Cheng Xinghai asked curiously, ”I’m just a Psychic with mental enhancement abilities, why do you think I can escape even if I’m disabled?”

A flash in Chen Ming’s mind recalled the moment when Cheng Xinghai almost kicked him to death on a civilian passenger ship, and he replied casually, ”Well, I’m just a Psychic who can make ships autopilot and knows some maintenance skills.”

”And I’ve heard a saying.”

”What saying?”

”When you understand that support-type Psychics are not without combat power, you’re at least getting started in the realm of Psychics.”

”Your physical fitness shouldn’t just be from training, right? A brain enhanced with mental power guiding your body to break limits and perform extraordinary actions is quite normal.”

Cheng Xinghai blinked, looked at Chen Ming’s face, then looked at the cuff on his hand, and said nothing.

Chen Ming didn’t notice Cheng Xinghai’s expression and just pushed Cheng Xinghai off the spaceship.

Toward the Rebel Headquarters to meet Song Pu.

After all, the terminal can only input text, so it can only be roughly described.

If conditions allow for a face-to-face conversation, it’s certainly better to meet in person.

When Chen Ming pushed open the door to Song Pu’s office.

Song Pu glanced at the wheelchair-bound Cheng Xinghai, then at Chen Ming, said nothing more, and continued to operate on the computer in front of him.

Soon, a three-dimensional projection appeared in front of his desk.

It showed the Galo-4 Star Zone, the star chart of the Rebel’s actual control area.

In this star chart, coordinates of about twenty star systems were specially marked.

And there was a line on the star chart starting from the Rebel’s headquarters, which was where Chen Ming was currently located, connecting all these twenty star systems.

Song Pu came out from behind the desk, gestured for Chen Ming to take a closer look at this star chart, and said, ”I’ve already mapped out the specific course of action for you.”

”These connection points are the locations of our industrial colonies and important logistics centers. As long as you follow this line, you can connect with these places adequately.”

”Afterward, all the things needed on the colonies can be conveniently controlled by you.”

Chen Ming leaned close to the three-dimensional imaging, taking in the full situation of the Gallo-4 Star Realm, then said to Song Pu, ”Actually, with a little trick, I might not even have to go to these places in person.”

”But going once is fine too. I feel that instead of getting help from other things, it’s more efficient for me to handle it myself.”

Song Pu, who understood Chen Ming, knew what little tricks Chen Ming was referring to, so he proposed to Chen Ming that he himself should personally go, after considering his options.

”I’ve already prepared a Cruiser for you at the port.”

Chen Ming recalled landing, and indeed there was a Ruler parked at the port.

Chen Ming found the Ruler ship acceptable, but he still tried to ask, ”Is there a Stardust?”

”Stardust Level... This thing hasn’t been developed at this point in the simulation; it’ll take another year.”

”Alright, then a Ruler it is.”

Song Pu nodded slightly and continued, ”Later, if you pass by the General’s side, you can go there. It’s best if all of our fleets are under your control.”

”No problem.”

Currently, Chen Ming can control only seven Cruisers.

But these seven Cruisers were his limit for full control and real-time management of ships.

If it’s just using Spiritual Energy to maintain contact, then the number could be more. It’s just that he currently isn’t sure of the practical upper limit of the number of ships he can manage.

So Chen Ming wasn’t worried about running out of Spiritual Power to control those ships.

However, Chen Ming had another question: ”What about the fleet here?”

At present, Chen Ming didn’t see Song Pu intending for him to control the headquarters’ fleet.

Song Pu explained: ”The main fleet here is on standby for emergencies at the frontline, and it’s not urgent for you to control it. You’re better off managing other places first.”

”Also, controlling an entire fleet is likely strenuous on your Spiritual Power, isn’t it? It’s best to use it for industrial facilities right now.”

”I see.”

Chen Ming readily stated: ”For me, the consumption of Spiritual Power is actually manageable, but fine, I have no objections. We’ll follow your plan.”

Song Pu was pleased to see Chen Ming making decisions that aligned more with the collective interest, and said with a smile, ”Alright, how many small ships do you need? As your escort fleet.”

”No need for small ships; just having one big ship is more suitable for me.”
