Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 736: Chapter 221 Chen Ming’s Request

Song Pu did not immediately decide how to arrange Chen Ming.

Instead, he took some time to understand the logistics and engineering details with Hong Guanghong and Dong Miao before contacting Chen Ming again through the terminal.

”I’ve seen you build a destroyer by hand before. If given materials and time, building a cruiser by hand shouldn’t be a problem either, right?”

”No problem.”

During this period, Chen Ming did not slack off in researching cruiser technology. Even before the fake body technology was developed, Chen Ming insisted on squeezing out time every day to learn things beyond command technology.

With the fake body now sharing the responsibility of learning command technology, Chen Ming could dedicate more energy to other areas.

With the thought speed increase provided by spiritual energy and Hive Mind Network, his learning efficiency allowed him to now manufacture some mass-produced cruisers, such as the Defender Level cruiser developed by Sinda Corporation, which he had in hand.

Song Pu nodded silently and continued to confirm: ”How about large industrial equipment? An entire factory?”

”Let me put it this way, controlling ships of the same volume is more difficult than industrial equipment. My spiritual energy is more challenging on ships than on most industrial facilities.”

”Moreover, before learning the shipbuilding technology, I must at least understand the tools’ usage before I can build ships.”

Chen Ming’s point was clear; he was more proficient with industrial facilities than with ships.

Song Pu’s eyes gleamed suddenly, and he said: ”We currently control eleven industrial colonies, more than half of which were seized from the government army in battles related to war and ship-related industrial colonies.”

”Among them are five ship-related heavy industry colonies, which include production industrial facilities for hulls, ship components, ship armor, and onboard weapons. The highest can currently produce cruisers.”

”Additionally, we have two heavy industry colonies producing ship fuel,”

”and three light industry colonies for mass-producing essential goods and various household items.”

”These three colonies control the livelihoods of the entire Galo-4 Star Zone, one of which was originally entirely controlled by the government to regulate the pricing of goods, but later, you can check out the background story to find out.”

”The remaining two light industry colonies were built by joint ventures of companies in these related sectors.”

”The last industrial colony is a comprehensive industrial park and already has a quarter-built orbital industrial facility, with many companies’ factories located there.”

”Other army equipment and production industrial facilities are mostly in those other comprehensive colonies.”

Chen Ming pondered the information Song Pu just shared and its connection to the initial question, then asked: ”Do you want me to build a new colony?”

”No, expansion is the top priority. Building a new colony is a hundred times more difficult than expanding on an existing colony’s foundation.”

”You probably didn’t see the terminal earlier, but I’ve already discussed this with the engineers. Going forward, our main goal is to expand these industrial colonies, which are our war potential, and this is what the engineers are currently busy with.”

Chen Ming asked again: ”Do all dozens of industrial colonies need him? Is one month enough?”

”Are you doubting the engineers’ speed or the construction speed?”

Chen Ming candidly said: ”A bit of both.”

Song Pu immediately explained on behalf of Hong Guanghong: ”You can rest assured about the efficiency of the engineers. With everything having templates as a premise, planning is swift with his abilities.”

”We are not innovating but merely retracing the steps taken by predecessors.”

”Furthermore, we only need to expand seven industrial colonies; in the simulation, it’s not just him working, but also many rebel engineers.”

”As for the construction speed,”

”currently, all industrial equipment is modular and simplified. As long as there is space and sufficient materials, we can double the scale of those war-use industrial colonies in at most half a month’s time.”

”Of course, the premise is that we need to put all our production capacity into it.”

Although Song Pu set conditions, Chen Ming still somewhat uncertainly asked: ”Is it that exaggerated?”

”Of course it is, because this is a simulation, and we don’t consider the future.”

”By directly abandoning the original rebels’ premise of safeguarding civilian needs, thoroughly shifting the Galo-4 Star Zone that we occupy to wartime industrialization, we can absolutely ensure expansion efficiency and production efficiency simultaneously rise.”

”For us, the time limit of this simulation is only a little over a month. We need to find ways to hold out in the short span of a month and even counterattack the government army. So no matter the means, winning is most important.”

”Moreover, within a month, the negative effects of comprehensive industrial transformation will not show quickly, and the overall economic level of the Star Zone might even experience a short-term increase.”

”So this is the opportunity we must seize, and the things we must do.”

”And more crucially, your presence matters; controlling ships is harder than controlling industrial equipment, as you said.”

”Everything I just mentioned is based on purely normal planning. With your help, expansion efficiency would be even higher.”
