Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 751: Chapter 224 Someone Else’s Doubts_4

Song Pu happened to have a video file that Chen Ming handed over to him casually before.

It was recorded by Chen Ming himself from multiple angles, documenting his actions over at the Space Airport.

At least Chen Ming did not intentionally attack civilians, and it was actually the Government Army that attacked him first.

Moreover, the footage included segments of police robots turning on each other.

With some editing, it became evidence that could portray the Government Army’s actions as a self-directed, self-performed disgrace.

After handing the video over to his secretary, Song Pu asked him again, ”Is there anything else?”

”There are no important matters for now. The other potentially necessary files for your review have been organized and sent to your computer.”

”Good, then you can attend to your own tasks.”

”Yes, sir.”

After the secretary left, only Song Pu remained in his office.

He leaned back in his chair, his mind quickly flashing through the recent actions of the Government Army.

To be honest, he felt that the Government Army was employing some pretty weak tactics. Though they didn’t seem problematic at first glance, they were easily countered and shouldn’t be released so indiscriminately.

They should be released at better times, like when battles resume.

By then, he might not have the energy to deal with these matters.

The Government Army shouldn’t be acting this way solely because of Cheng Xinghai’s disappearance.

More observation is needed; there might be some special arrangement.

Song Pu exhaled a breath.

He suddenly stood up and left the office, intending to breathe some fresh air outside.

Being overly detailed in these matters has its downsides.

Though deprived of sleep, the mental strain from prolonged work is palpable and needs easing to prevent mishaps.

As Song Pu left the office, lighting a cigarette in the corridor.

Two young officers holding paper files were conversing on the other side of the hallway and did not notice Song Pu emerging from the office.

Song Pu had just taken a puff when he overheard one of them saying, ”It seems our recent movements are ramping up the preparation for war, didn’t we sign a ceasefire agreement with the Government Army?”

The other immediately responded, ”Because the Government Army troops never retreated, they’re stationed at the Galor 3 border without pulling back to Galor 1 and Galor 2. What do you think the Government Army means by this?”

”Could the Government Army really breach the ceasefire agreement?”

Song Pu approached and patted the shoulder of the one who asked the question first.

As the young officer turned around with a somewhat frightened expression.

Song Pu calmly said to him, ”Ceasefire agreements are meant to be torn apart. Don’t forget what the government originally was like. We must be prepared for armed struggle until higher authorities intervene. Never trust your enemy.”

Song Pu soon returned to his office.

And at that moment, Cheng Xinghe contacted him and said, ”I’m already setting up traps and arranging for pick-ups here. When picking up, I will transfer the intel through confirmed spies in a reasonable manner; the other side should make a move.”

”Understood. Chen Ming should arrive near your location around the same time. If you need support, let him know; don’t feel embarrassed.”

Cheng Xinghe decisively replied, ”I know, I can distinguish priorities. But it’s up to whether the other side takes the bait. If they don’t, I can’t do anything.”

Song Pu didn’t insist on Cheng Xinghe’s words, adding, ”Hmm, anyway, this is just a casual attempt. I never expected Chen Ming to catch Cheng Xinghai in the first place. Even if the other side doesn’t come, it’s fine; just treat it as a drill.”

”By the way, how’s the quality of your soldiers over there? The Rebel Army only has a fraction that converted from regular forces, and many are new recruits. I’m more concerned about the sources and quality of soldiers.”

”I feel they’re doing alright.”

Cheng Xinghe’s tone didn’t show much concern, ”Currently, the Rebel Army mostly consists of veterans leading new recruits. After a few battles and taking some losses, the new recruits essentially become veterans.”

”Continuing this model, although the overall combat strength might be weaker than purely veterans, the advantages are very clear.”

”It quickly transforms new recruits into combat power, and with veterans leading, the total loss won’t be too significant.”

”Good, as long as you think it’s fine.”

After finishing the communication with Cheng Xinghe, Song Pu turned to contact Hong Guanghong, asking, ”How’s your progress?”

Hong Guanghong responded after a while, ”Not bad. The difficulty of establishing the later colonies is comparatively easier than the initial main industry’s Ship Manufacturing, leaving just the more complex colonies for chip and high-precision equipment manufacturing, but they are the only troublesome ones.”

”Once my side produces results, we’ll coordinate with Chen Ming immediately. Currently, his spiritual power recovery speed can’t quite keep up with the blueprint production speed over here.”

Song Pu nodded with satisfaction again, saying, ”The fact that Chen Ming’s colony expansion speed can match the speed of your drafting is already remarkable.”

After continuing to explain some matters to Hong Guanghong.

Song Pu glanced at the time and continued to immerse himself in his primary work.
