Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 729: Chapter 219 Escape?_2

It was after that incident that Chen Ming’s relationship with his boss gradually became closer, starting to develop beyond just a business relationship.

While Chen Ming was waiting, he was thinking about some strange things.

The sensors on Chen Ming’s spaceship finally discovered his target.

The civilian passenger ship, just like other passing spaceships, completely failed to notice Chen Ming’s presence and was heading towards its destination at the highest speed possible for its route.

Chen Ming immediately set off, boarding a Shuttle Boat also made of isolation materials, which could only carry one person, and approached the civilian passenger ship at the lowest power.

Once he adjusted his direction and gradually accelerated to match the speed of the civilian passenger ship, Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy activated, and several mechanical arms instantly extended from the Shuttle Boat, attaching it to the bottom of the civilian passenger ship.

Chen Ming did not need the passenger ship to open a docking interface, he simply pressed his hand on top, and the bottom shell of the passenger ship instantly appeared to ripple like a water surface.

With a gentle leap, Chen Ming easily entered the semi-liquidized hull of the ship.

The Shuttle Boat mounted on the bottom of the spaceship then completely turned into a metallic liquid and dispersed into space when Chen Ming fully entered the passenger ship, quickly left behind by it.

And Chen Ming, without affecting the spaceship’s functions, smoothly took control of the entire vessel.

Through the surveillance system, he located the cabin where Cheng Xinghai, marked by Song Pu, was located.

Chen Ming needed everything to happen quietly, preferably leaving no trace that could be recorded by anyone, so the impact should naturally be as small as possible.

Therefore, Chen Ming did not appear directly in the cabin where Cheng Xinghai was but instead appeared in a restroom separated from her cabin by a corridor.

He had already prepared a silent electromagnetic pistol that fired steel needles finer than hair.

This tool was perfect for assassination.

Chen Ming suddenly had a peculiar feeling because he never expected he would have such a day.

In the past, it was always others attempting to assassinate him, and he never imagined that one day it would be his turn to assassinate someone else. Oddly enough, he even felt a bit excited now.

However, the gun in Chen Ming’s hand was only the last resort.

The truly stable assassination method relied on Chen Ming’s own Spiritual Energy and the ship he controlled.

Of course, Chen Ming was not referring to crude means like breaking the cabin windows, which would undoubtedly leave traces.

Instead, he intended to use the fine metallic liquid he controlled, refined to the atomic level invisible to the naked eye, to penetrate Cheng Xinghai’s heart or brain and kill her directly upon solidification.

However, just before taking action, Chen Ming realized a problem; his plan seemed unreachable.

The simulation was not fine-tuned to this degree yet.

Although this simulation included many details and all NPCs exhibited extremely human-like behavior,

the level of detail reaching atomic precision was still somewhat exaggerated.

Chen Ming found he couldn’t achieve this within the simulation.

If this method failed, Chen Ming would have to choose to use a small amount of metallic liquid if he still wanted to use Spiritual Energy to assassinate Cheng Xinghai.

But a small amount was somewhat unstable.

A small quantity of metallic liquid couldn’t penetrate the skin like atoms do.

So Chen Ming had to fabricate the metallic liquid into something like a steel needle to kill, which was almost similar to directly using an electromagnetic gun.

Moreover, Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy could only control the metallic liquid to form certain objects and make some changes to the shape and position of the metallic liquid.

His Spiritual Energy might not necessarily be able to accelerate the metallic liquid to a lethal level against Cheng Xinghai in one blow.

Besides, if Cheng Xinghai were even a little cautious, she would always notice changes in her surroundings.

Once Cheng Xinghai discovered a problem, any subsequent actions could very likely leave evidence in other people’s eyes.

”Hmm... Maybe I should use this thing.”

Chen Ming switched off the safety of the electromagnetic steel needle gun, concealed it inside his clothes, and walked out of the restroom wearing casual attire.

The corridor outside the restroom connected to two passenger cabins, each separated by a door.

The doors had small windows, allowing a view into the passenger cabins.

Chen Ming could stick to the entrance of one of the doors, looking through the small window to see Cheng Xinghai’s position.

To be honest,

If Song Pu hadn’t given him advance notice and if Chen Ming hadn’t seen Cheng Xinghai’s appearance through makeup on the surveillance,

Chen Ming would have almost failed to recognize this ordinary looking young woman with makeup as the lively Cheng Xinghai.

After silently marveling at the power of makeup, Chen Ming raised his gun, aiming at the back of Cheng Xinghai’s head.

But just before he pulled the trigger, Cheng Xinghai suddenly stood up.

Without the guarantee of a hit, Chen Ming immediately put away the gun, his heart unconsciously racing a little faster.

However, he quickly calmed down.

Cheng Xinghai could not have discovered him; all the spaceship’s access privileges were already in his control, and he was constantly monitoring all communications on the spacecraft.

Apart from a special terminal Cheng Xinghai presumably had, nothing on the ship could escape Chen Ming’s notice.

Cheng Xinghai’s sudden movement now was likely due to something else she needed to do.

As Chen Ming thought this, Cheng Xinghai suddenly turned and headed towards the corridor where Chen Ming was, holding a makeup box, seemingly intending to freshen up in the restroom.
