Chapter 737: Chapter 221 Chen Ming’s Request_2

”Your presence not only allows us to resist the attacks of the Government Army, but also serves as our trump card for counterattacking them.”

Chen Ming didn’t expect Song Pu to say this, and asked, ”Do you really trust my abilities that much?”

Dong Miao suddenly interjected at this moment, saying, ”I remember you seemed to have just told us hours ago to trust you. We’ve trusted you, and you’ve accomplished what you said, so trusting you again isn’t a problem.”

”Uh... I did say that... Can I make a few requests to the engineers?”

Hong Guanghong said in the terminal just as Chen Ming asked this question, ”I’m watching.”

”When planning the expansion of colonies, try to consecutively plan the direction of expansion, rather than expanding independently into new territories.”

”What do you mean?”

Chen Ming explained, ”For example, if an armor plate manufacturing plant for spaceships needs expansion, there are two options.”

”You can choose to build a new factory exactly like the original, or you can choose to add a new production line based on the original factory.”

”I know that normally, the choice is definitely to add a production line, but it’s impossible for different industrial facilities to completely achieve new production line expansion during the expansion process.”

”Moreover, different industrial facilities also require different auxiliary facilities, which should equally have this problem.”

”I hope that when you plan the expansion blueprint, you can try to expand based on the existing colonial industrial facilities, rather than constructing new factories.”

Hong Guanghong considered Chen Ming’s request for a while, and said, ”It can be done, but this will increase the workload, causing the final blueprint to come out later.”

”But this is beneficial for my Spiritual Energy when applied to industrial equipment.”

Chen Ming didn’t specify exactly where it would be beneficial; after all, this was a relatively unseen latent effect of his Spiritual Energy.

It’s just that when he currently uses [Transformation] and [Manufacturing] to achieve similar effects, the spiritual power consumption in manufacturing is more than three times that in transformation.

It used to be five times, and as Chen Ming becomes more proficient in utilizing manufacturing Spiritual Energy, the consumption of spiritual power is gradually decreasing.

But in general, this threefold consumption is still quite exaggerated, so in cases where large-scale use of Spiritual Energy is clearly needed, any savings on spiritual power is beneficial.

No one doubted Chen Ming this time in the communication channel, and Hong Guanghong quickly agreed after Chen Ming made this statement: ”Alright, no problem.”

”Thank you.”

After thanking, Chen Ming did not continue asking questions about the planning of industrial facilities but instead turned to Song Pu: ”Speaking of which, since we have the extra goal of surviving the higher-level siege after the first month’s Government Army siege, does the Government Army have similar conditions?”

”Cheng Xinghai seems to have not explained a lot of things to you.”

”And you being able to raise this question must have been linked to what I just said, right?”

”Just as you think, the Government Army also has similar restrictive conditions.”

”Even if they annihilate us, they must ensure that, in a third of the Star Realm used as the battlefield, the majority of Star Systems have sufficient stability.”

”Otherwise, the next rebellion will break out shortly thereafter, and this time the Government Army won’t be able to cover it up.”

”The Government Army will follow in our footsteps.”

”Ultimately, like us in annihilation during the siege, they can only judge it as a draw.”

Chen Ming said subconsciously, ”It seems theirs might be a bit easier.”

Song Pu immediately refuted Chen Ming’s thoughts, saying, ”Actually, the difficulty is about the same, just different conditions and different restrictions, giving you such an illusion.”

”Has the government, which has already caused rebellion due to internal corruption and the oppression of local policies on civilians, really easily raised the stability of these areas? Can they allow ordinary civilians to live steadily?”

Chen Ming thought for a moment and said, ”Indeed.”

”So when selecting teammates in such large-scale campaigns, logistics and engineers are very important.”

”Whether it’s the reconstruction planning of industrial facilities or post-war reconstruction, these things require specialist attention, nobody can avoid it.”

”If we were assigned to the Government Army’s side, it would be our headache to deal with these things.”

”In simulations, it won’t kindly provide a group of engineers wholeheartedly thinking for us.”

”After all, our chances of winning are somewhat in conflict with the ideas of NPCs in the simulation.”

Chen Ming suddenly couldn’t follow Song Pu’s train of thought and asked, ”What does that mean?”

”For example, the goal of the Rebel Army is definitely to liberate local citizens from the oppression of the Government Army and give them a future.”

”But look at what we’re doing? Transforming industrial facilities with no regard for the environment, indiscriminately exploiting important mineral veins, increasing the labor tasks of personnel engaged in industrial production. Does it seem aligned with the goal of the Rebel Army to liberate civilians?”

After carefully thinking about what Song Pu said, and various ideas he mentioned before, Chen Ming said, ”Indeed.”

”And look at the Government Army’s side. The background’s goal of the Government Army itself is definitely to annihilate the Rebel Army as quickly as possible, disregarding environmental concerns. Their interests are the most important.”

”Even though they are fully aware of the consequences if things continue this way.”

”But for the five people opposite, they absolutely cannot disregard environmental concerns.”
