Chapter 746: Chapter 223 Expansion of the Colony_3

And the way his Spiritual Power was to be applied on the colony was quite simple.

It was necessary to control the industrial buildings on the outskirts of the colony, and starting the transformation and expansion from these buildings was enough.

This meant that he just needed to walk around the perimeter to complete the first step before the official start of the expansion.

However, Chen Ming, for the final effect, did not do this. He chose to walk through each factory inside the colony.

Although the accompanying personnel advised him that the interior of the Industrial Colony was extremely dangerous, mostly occupied by pure mechanical equipment and robots at work.

The only ones remaining inside the factories were the supervisory staff who had signed high-value death compensation contracts and a few engineers capable of controlling robots to inspect these industrial devices.

But Chen Ming didn’t listen, and instead, he manufactured Power Armor on his own and walked into the factory area beyond the logistics transportation passages.

Originally, Cheng Xinghai wanted to be left by Chen Ming here.

After all, she was wearing the Protective Suit and walking exoskeleton he made. Staying with others alone did not raise any thoughts.

However, Cheng Xinghai ultimately followed with the excuse of staying there being uninteresting.

Chen Ming was too lazy to stop her, after all, he could monitor all her conditions in real-time. He wouldn’t be ambushed and killed in the dangerous environment.

Walking between factories.

Chen Ming could see various robots and small logistics transport vehicles shuttling between the few passages, providing a small allocation of materials to each factory.

Of course, the main material transportation method for these factories was still relying on the logistics transport lines connecting different factories, but these lines were usually underground, not visible on the surface.

At the bottom of these industrial buildings, Chen Ming occasionally saw some solid small houses appear here.

Those were the places where the few people working in such extremely dangerous environments lived.

As Chen Ming passed, a few monitors turned towards him.

He didn’t mind and continued walking past different industrial buildings, touching them.

During this process, the sound of metal scraping, the roar of industrial equipment.

And the high heat that even Power Armor could barely block when actually stepping into the factory area, all made Chen Ming a little excited.

This crystallization of human industry, a fusion of power and technology, while also being the dangerous source with which humanity must coexist for development, constantly stimulated his adrenaline.

Even though this was just a simulation, Chen Ming’s mind couldn’t help but imagine.

Imagine in his future colony, a place with no human presence other than himself, how the industrial facilities there would look.

It should be quite different from here.

Of course, Chen Ming did not forget the main task.

After quickly taking full control of all the industrial equipment with the high mobility provided by the Power Armor.

Chen Ming returned to the train on the logistics corridor and headed out of the colony with the others.

At this time, he took out a special terminal and said to Song Pu, ”Everything is ready on my side, let’s do some preliminary preparation first.”

Song Pu asked with some confusion, ”What are you preparing for?”

”Repair the industrial equipment, I saw many places where the equipment operation seemed to have problems,”

”I feel the production capacity of the entire colony is problematic, for example, can the cruiser hull produce five units a day? The efficiency disparity between my new equipment and the old equipment won’t work.”

The specialist Hong Guanghong immediately said in the terminal, ”I estimate that the colony can currently produce about two cruiser hulls a day. The factories for destroyers and guards, on the other hand, are fine, about 67% efficiency of the new factories.”

”The main reason is that this colony has been built for a long time, and they’re all large industrial equipment. The cost of a total replacement is too high, so they continue using them until they completely break down.”

Song Pu followed up after Hong Guanghong said, ”Can your Spiritual Power withstand the repair and expansion?”

Having personally walked through every factory in the colony, Chen Ming was quite confident in the amount of his Spiritual Power and replied, ”Don’t worry, my Spiritual Power is fine, I’m more concerned about the people in the colony.”

”Everything has been explained to them, they will wear their Protective Suits when you do your work.”

”The sealing operation is also in place, everyone working in the colony has signed a month-long closed overtime agreement, so they have no reason to leave for at least a month.”

”The control of information is a little tricky, but it can be done, and you have your Spiritual Energy for the last safeguard, so no need to worry about the industrial facility expansion being exposed too soon.”

Chen Ming replied again, ”Understood, I’ll start on my end then.”

After he finished speaking, he put down the terminal, and Maintenance Spiritual Energy immediately acted upon the entire colony.

A large amount of metal liquid overflowed from the core warehouse area, flooding the entire colony ground like a metal deluge.

And inside the Industrial Colony, a repeated broadcast began to play via radio, ”All staff, please wear Protective Suits and equipment as rehearsed. Any anomalies need not be noted. Wait for the situation to end, and contact department supervisors in case of an unexpected situation.”

With the broadcast playing repeatedly, the metal liquid that submerged the entire colony changed again.
