Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 294: Chapter 164: A Feng Shui Paradise Brimming with Auspicious Energy (First Update)

Lawrence Winters, his uncle Nick Zeller, the old Daoist, his mother Gabrielle Winters, and Kenneth Osborne were sitting in Nick Zeller’s Grand Cherokee, heading to the location they had arranged with the real estate agent.

This was the site of one of the large apartments they were interested in viewing.

The upscale residential area lived up to its name; as they walked through the community gate, Lawrence saw peacocks and cranes strolling on the lawn...

The old Daoist was also taken aback. After a moment, he muttered, ”In the mountains where I live, you never see a single crane all year round, and here they have them domesticated...”

The further they walked in, the more astonishing the scenery became.

They never expected that within the bustling Third Ring of Capital City, there would be such a feng shui treasure trove hidden!

The old Daoist squinted his eyes, looked around, and marveled, ”Clouds and mists, auspicious omens abound. Most of the people living here are wealthy, not many are celebrities.”

The real estate agent beside them was greatly surprised and quickly said, ”Sir, how did you know?!”

These are industry secrets, and even among real estate agents, there are not many who know the identity data of all the residents in the area.

And he happened to be one of the agents who knew the inside story.

Nick Zeller chuckled and said, ”Just a guess. Did we guess right?”

By his expression, it was clear he wasn’t telling the truth.

The real estate agent, unable to expose him, smiled and said, ”You must be joking. This community has very strict personal privacy protections, and ordinary people wouldn’t know the identities of the residents. Rest assured.”

The old Daoist walked leisurely with his hands behind his back, and sure enough, there was a lake ahead, which seemed to be a natural one.

Natural lakes in the Capital City used to be called ”haizi,” and this one was not too big or too small, with clear water and white swans gliding in it.

They hadn’t even entered the apartment yet, and just the exterior views had already impressed the old Daoist and Nick Zeller.

They were feng shui experts, and the feng shui here truly suited them perfectly.

Nick Zeller quietly said to the old Daoist, ”...We must get this place; the feng shui here is especially good for Lawrence.”

The old Daoist nodded slightly, saying, ”...You don’t need to tell me, do I not know?”

However, he saw deeper into it and quickly cast a glance back at Kenneth Osborne, saying to Nick Zeller, ”Oddly enough, it’s also very favorable for that Kenneth...”

Nick Zeller was taken aback, ”No way? Why didn’t I calculate that?”

The old Daoist looked at him with disdain, ”Your fortune-telling has never been accurate. I wonder how you earned such a big reputation.”

”Haha, I’m a professional at home feng shui, usually not doing fortune-telling unless I’m sure of it,” Nick Zeller scratched the back of his head proudly.

After saying this, he carefully asked the old Daoist for advice, ”How did you figure it out?”

The old Daoist stroked his goatee, pondered, and said, ”...This Kenneth has an unusual fate.”

Nick Zeller slapped his thigh, ”Exactly! I noticed it once when I did a birth chart for him!”

The old Daoist rolled his eyes at him, ”Even after the birth chart, you still let him be with Lawrence? Are you blind?”

”Haha, you only know part of it. This is a long story, let’s finish looking at the apartment first, and then I’ll tell you all about Kenneth later.”

The two of them whispered ahead, and Kenneth Osborne, Lawrence Winters, and Gabrielle Winters didn’t hear what they were saying.

But they all knew the two were feng shui experts, so they were certainly discussing the feng shui of this place, and thus they didn’t mind it.

The three of them marveled at the landscape design and the various rare animals.

Kenneth Osborne silently thought, no wonder such a large apartment is so expensive; just the external living environment alone is worth the price...

He must develop quickly and get listed soon to earn money!

For the first time, Kenneth Osborne understood Lawrence Winters’ obsession with money. He thought he must catch up quickly.

When the five of them took the direct elevator up to the eleventh floor and saw the well-decorated apartment, they almost immediately liked it.

The real estate agent said happily, ”Although this apartment is second-hand, the owner never lived in it. It was originally decorated to serve as their child’s bridal home, but the family later emigrated overseas, leaving this apartment vacant. They couldn’t bear to rent it out, given the effort put into the decoration. Just look at these world-class brand faucets in the kitchen.”

Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne excitedly toured the entire large apartment, even dividing up how to live in it.

When they came back, the old Daoist had already negotiated the price with the real estate agent.

The other party was eager to sell, and they could pay half of the down payment, making the loan easier to get. During the negotiation, the old Daoist managed to haggle another twenty percent off the price.
