Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 687: Chapter 457: Strange Python - New Privileges?! (4500 Word Mega Chapter)_2

Beside the spot where the vine bundle fell, a giant snake was coiled there unexpectedly at this moment.

This giant snake had actually wrapped itself around the whole vine bundle directly!

In other words, if this giant snake didn’t leave, he wouldn’t be able to enter the vine bundle and unlock the underground prison.

Moreover...

Xu Xin squinted his eyes.

This giant snake isn’t so simple.

Because it really seems out of place with the surrounding giant beasts.

The surrounding giant beasts, although each is massive, unless you look carefully, you wouldn’t notice the blood patterns on them.

Their blood pattern mutation level is very low.

But this giant snake...

Its body actually has extremely, extremely noticeable blood patterns!

That’s right, the blood pattern mutation degree of this giant snake is much higher than those of the other giant beasts!

This...

Definitely a high-level mutant creature, right?

If Lou Fei’Er were to come out now, she might get scared by this big guy.

However...

Strange.

Why isn’t this big guy being attacked by the other giant beasts around?

He looked around.

In the east, about four or five hundred meters away, there’s a pig-shaped giant beast whose ferocious tusks are several times thicker than mammoth tusks, using its nose to dig the vines in the ground.

In the north, three or four hundred meters away, a wingless giant bird resembling an ostrich stands dazed there, then suddenly lowers its head, pecks the ground with a beak resembling a drill bit, picks up a two or three-meter bug, and swallows it straight up.

Seeing the wingless bird, Xu Xin suddenly realized.

This underground world seems to lack flying giant birds.

Not a single one; the only things flying in the sky are those bugs flapping their wings.

Though they are car-sized, they are overshadowed by the giant beasts.

Did the Blood Pattern Race not release flying giant beasts into the underground world?

”Ying...” Keke quietly chirped and nudged him with a little paw.

”What’s wrong?” Xu Xin looked down at Keke, only to see the little creature burying its head and peeking with one eye toward the direction of the vine bundle.

He looked toward the vine bundle.

”Hiss...!” He then took a sharp cold breath.

He only saw that the serpent coiled under the branch of the vine bundle unexpectedly using its crimson eyes was staring straight in his direction!

Moreover, the massive snake body began to move slowly. Originally just coiled under the branch, the snake’s body is now slowly releasing.

The snake’s head was slowly extending toward his direction.

Xu Xin slowly retreated two steps, but didn’t continue to retreat, instead slightly furrowing his brows.

This big guy seems...

Not intending to do anything to him?

He felt no hostility from this big guy, nor any sense of danger.

Keke, who had been somewhat scared in his arms a moment ago, now lifted her little head with curiosity, looking at the giant snake approaching them.

It seems there really is no danger.

Had there been danger, Keke would probably have chirped continuously, urging him to run.

Xu Xin squinted his eyes and began circling the vine bundle branches as he walked, observing the movements of the giant snake.

Sure enough, the snake’s giant head turned with his movements, its scarlet vertical pupils consistently watching him.

Meanwhile, its body continued moving, slowly departing from the vine bundle.

Xu Xin walked slowly, pondering.

What exactly is this big guy?

Ji Chaoyang had shared information with him; he knew about the giant pig and bird around the vine bundle from Ji Chaoyang’s words, but he hadn’t mentioned this blood pattern-covered giant snake.

Ji Chaoyang hadn’t encountered this giant snake during his descent here.

This giant snake only arrived after Ji Chaoyang had left.

And seeing how it doesn’t fit with the surrounding beasts...

Combining Ji Chaoyang’s prophecy, about key character Xue Lan imprisoned in the underground prison here...

This giant snake couldn’t be sent by the Blood Pattern Race to prevent them from releasing Xue Lan as a Blood Pattern Giant Beast, could it?

Xu Xin started feeling alert, slowly retreating, beginning to distance himself from the giant snake.

Although there’s no hostility now, it might be because the snake isn’t putting him, a small entity, in its sight.

If it attacks as he imagined, Xu Xin probably wouldn’t be able to withstand it!

A giant beast, a high-level mutant creature!

Twice the strength!

Who could handle that!

Thinking like this, cold sweat still formed on his forehead.

Huh?

Something seems off.

Based on information acquired from Chang Yin, the Blood Pattern Race shouldn’t be able to control such mutant creatures with powerful beast bloodlines, right?

Although this giant snake is much smaller and slimmer than the Lake Giant Python, a pure supergiant beast...

It still counts as the same level as the surrounding giant beasts.

This kind of giant beast, the Blood Pattern Race fundamentally cannot control, right?

So this giant snake...

Could it be wild?

”Ying?” In his arms, Keke tilted her little head and glanced at him.

”Keke, you better not...”

”Ying!”

Xu Xin was about to tell Keke not to run around, but the little guy jumped out of his arms directly!

Fortunately, he was quick and responsive, managing to scoop Keke back as she was jumping out.

”What do you want to do again!” Xu Xin scolded Keke in a low voice, lightly patting its little head.
