Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 670: Chapter 451: Finally Out! (Two-in-one large Chapter)_3

However, for the activity to be completed, it might indeed be unwise to let her act alone.

Outside, it is indeed too dangerous for her.

Moreover, according to the key’s description, all six vine branch prisons must be unlocked to activate the main vine branch mechanism and complete the task.

If something happens to her while holding the key, I’m afraid none of us would be able to complete this activity.

But if she can’t act alone, then others will need to unlock the two vine branch prisons.

No wonder...

No wonder at the start of this activity, that mysterious voice mentioned that refusing to participate would have a certain negative impact on partners.

Xu Xin glanced at the warehouse.

In the whole warehouse, all the resources on the shelves had been looted by this group of people.

The treasure chest monster is probably burping inside the bracelet by now.

Fortunately, those stone statues in the warehouse haven’t moved in a fit of rage...

”There’s nothing left in this underground warehouse, what have you all discovered?” Xu Xin asked.

”Ha, there was really too much stuff here!”

”Let me show you!”

Soon, Xu Xin realized that the things he discovered were already all kinds of resources in this warehouse.

After all, Keke dragged him around the entire warehouse, naturally seeing all the things inside.

However, in terms of quantity, these resources were astonishing.

The mutant potions he discovered first, the few people together had gotten more than a hundred bottles!

Purple-level growth feed, a large bag weighed about a hundred kilograms, with over a thousand bags, totaling more than a hundred tons!

If it weren’t for the treasure chest monster, I’m afraid his bracelet combined with the purple-level backpack wouldn’t be able to hold so much!

Also, those metal bombs with petrifying effects, there were over eight hundred small ones and nearly a hundred large ones!

And the quantity of that meteorite iron ore was the largest!

The number of just the gold-level meteorite iron ore was over a hundred pieces!

This is too ridiculous!

Although he didn’t know the exact use of the meteorite iron smelted from this meteorite iron ore, such a large amount of gold-level metal ore was enough to make them very excited.

”I wonder if Wenxi can smelt this meteorite iron ore.” Wen Guixin said while holding a piece of meteorite iron ore.

”Gold-level should be a bit difficult,” Wang Lei speculated, ”but blue-level shouldn’t be a problem, right? With blue-level meteorite blocks, at least Brother Xin and Brother Chaoyang will know what this metal can be used for!”

”Indeed. But why hasn’t Brother Chaoyang appeared yet? Where did he go?” Zhao Xiaochuan wondered.

”Who knows, that guy is always disappearing when he’s on the surface.” Wen Guixin shook his head helplessly, ”With six keys in total, if he doesn’t come, I might as well unlock his side. His vine branch is right next to mine.”

Everyone decided to return to the starting point where they descended.

Even though it might not be necessary, since they’ve traversed this path before, returning by the same route seemed safer.

”Let’s think about this later. Since there’s nothing else in the warehouse, let’s leave first, get back up there and talk.” Xu Xin rubbed his temples, a bit troubled, ”Have none of you noticed? We still haven’t found a way out of this underground prison...”

”Yeah!” Wang Lei clapped his hands, ”Let’s go up, quickly find the way out!”

”If there’s really no way, we’ll have to try pressing those buttons in the control room.” Wen Guixin said, ”Let’s hope nothing goes wrong. Let’s move quickly.”

They all returned to the passage.

When they got to the end of the passage, everyone was dumbfounded.

”Huh... the gravity mechanism went up by itself?” Lou Fei’Er immediately felt around at the end of the passage, her eyes widening, ”No way? Are we trapped in the prison?”

The five of them looked at each other.

Initially, Xu Xin, Lou Fei’Er, and Zhao Xiaochuan descended through the normal method using the gravity mechanism, so they could return the same way, but unexpectedly...

They couldn’t return?!

”There should be another exit, right?” Lou Fei’Er stood up and asked.

”Could it be in the warehouse?” Wang Lei looked back into the warehouse.

”Indeed, then let’s go back and search again, maybe we can find a direct exit?” Zhao Xiaochuan suggested.

Though they couldn’t get out, the people present weren’t too worried.

After all, this warehouse couldn’t just let people enter but not exit, right?

”Keke.” Xu Xin tapped the sleeping Keke drooping on his shoulder, waking it up, ”Have you found an exit for this warehouse?”

”...Squeak?” Keke’s ears twitched twice, then it slowly opened its eyes, thought for a moment aimlessly, ”Squeak!”

It jumped directly off Xu Xin’s shoulder and ran towards the warehouse.

”Let’s follow Keke.”

”Haha, Brother Xin’s panda is really something!”

Everyone followed Keke and soon arrived in front of a shelf.

”Squeak!” Keke pointed at the shelf and then climbed onto it, tapping behind it with its small paw.

Xu Xin immediately understood Keke’s meaning and raised an eyebrow: ”Move the shelf away!”

”I’ll do it!”

Wang Lei stepped up, grabbed the shelf, and pulled it aside, revealing a new passage behind it!

”Found it! That was easy! Keke is amazing!” Zhao Xiaochuan praised Keke.

”Squeak!” Keke proudly lifted its little head, then climbed back onto Xu Xin’s shoulder twice.

Xu Xin took one last look inside the warehouse.

Those stone statue insects and beasts still hadn’t reacted at all.

Aside from them, only empty shelves remained in the warehouse.

Although the shelves were gold-level, they had no special function, and since they were made of special metal and too heavy, even the treasure chest monster couldn’t swallow them to be taken away.

It’s a bit of a pity, but let’s just leave them in this warehouse.

”Let’s go.”

”Alright!”

”We finally made some progress!”

Several people stepped into the passage.

Xu Xin was the last to enter.

”Bang!”

The moment he entered, the entrance behind them suddenly slammed shut!

”Whoa!” Zhao Xiaochuan exclaimed immediately.

”What’s happening? Are we locked in?” Wen Guixin was also a bit wary.

”...Keke, you didn’t lead us the wrong way, did you?” Xu Xin asked the Keke on his shoulder.

”Squeak!” Keke squealed a bit displeased.

”Let’s move, we can only keep going forward. It should be fine.” Xu Xin still trusted Keke.

Moreover, there was only this one way to go now.

After walking about ten meters in this passage, stairs leading upwards began to appear.

”Going up! This must be the exit!” Zhao Xiaochuan, who was at the front, said happily, speeding up.

”Be careful, there might be mechanisms!” Wen Guixin reminded from behind.

They climbed the stairs.

Before long, after turning a corner, they saw light.

”The exit! It’s the exit to the surface!”

Everyone’s eyes lit up, very pleased.

Unexpectedly, this passage could indeed lead straight to the surface!

Their pace quickened, and very soon, all five of them emerged from the passage.

”Ah! This is... around the vine branch! We actually came up!” Zhao Xiaochuan, who was the first out, proclaimed joyfully.

The exit was right in the area around the vine branch, unaffected by the giant beasts.

”Phew, thank goodness it’s not somewhere else...” Lou Fei’Er breathed a sigh of relief, having been worried about this before coming up.

”Now that we’re out, let’s assign the tasks.” Xu Xin turned to the others, ”Since Ji Chaoyang isn’t here, we can only...”

He stopped speaking abruptly.

Because he saw someone stepping out from the gap in the vine.

”Whoa!”

”Brother Chaoyang?!”

”You finally made it out...” said Ji Chaoyang, exhaling a long breath of relief upon seeing them.

Xu Xin was also very surprised: ”You were outside the whole time...”

He stopped in mid-sentence again.

His eyes widened.

Because, from the gap behind Ji Chaoyang, another figure emerged.

To be precise, it was a stone statue.

The stone statue had a slightly exhausted yet relieved smile on its face.

”Brother Xu Xin, it’s been a long time.”

Huh?!!

Chang Yin?!

Ji Chaoyang was actually with Chang Yin?!
