Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 663: Chapter 449: This is really well-hidden! (A grand Chapter with 4,800 words!)_2

”Roar.”

The double-headed lion behind seemed to understand Wen Guixin’s words. One of its heads glared at her and let out a short, low growl, while the other head turned slightly away, seemingly a bit embarrassed.

However, it also seemed to know that the people outside were no longer afraid of its roaring, so...

It directly lay back down in its original spot, and then, like before, the eyes of both heads squinted as it began to doze off.

”There are such things...” Zhao Xiaochuan muttered, ”I didn’t even know.”

”So, at that time, Wang Lei had actually touched this cage and already knew that this prison was special?”

Xu Xin’s eyes lit up slightly.

”It’s just that, because the situation at the time was special, he didn’t pay much attention to this detail but quickly ran up to find me. Then, upon seeing the key, he recalled it and wanted to confirm, unable to wait for me to come up, so he just ran out?”

”That should be it.” Wen Guixin leaned against the cage’s bars and stood up, seemingly contemplating. ”However, he should only be able to see the ’special prison’ description, and he wouldn’t know that the warehouse’s location was inside the prison. Logically, if he only had information about the special prison, he shouldn’t have directly associated this key with the prison.”

She said as she walked in front of the cage’s bars.

The giant beast’s prison was very large, as it held a giant beast that was tens of meters tall and allowed it to move around inside.

Therefore, the number of bars in the beast’s prison was very high. Each prison had at least a hundred metal bars, and each was several tens of meters high.

Wen Guixin walked to a position and reached out to grab a bar.

Then she let go and grabbed the bar next to it.

Inside the prison, the two heads of the double-headed lion looked up at her, then closed their eyes again.

”What’s the meaning of this?” Lou Fei’Er, seeing her actions, asked in puzzlement.

Xu Xin, however, squinted his eyes slightly.

He seemed to understand what Wen Guixin meant.

”At the time, Wang Lei probably leaned against the bars and sat here. I think, did he discover something here... Found it!”

As Wen Guixin spoke, she grasped one of the bars, her face revealing surprise.

The others were also startled, just about to say something when suddenly, something astonishing happened!

The spot where her hand held the bar suddenly flashed a bright light!

It was a blinding electric arc!

And Wen Guixin’s body and expression instantly stiffened slightly.

Then, with a ”ka” sound beneath her feet, the floor directly opened downwards and to the sides, revealing a hole roughly a few square meters wide!

”What?!”

”Ying!”

The remaining three people’s expressions changed drastically!

Lou Fei’Er reacted the fastest, immediately rushing forward, trying to grab Wen Guixin, who was about to fall completely inside.

But remembering Wen Guixin’s abilities, her outstretched hand hesitated slightly.

And just with that hesitation, she failed to grasp Wen Guixin’s hand.

Having been shocked by the electric arc just now, Wen Guixin’s movements were also very slow. She tried to grasp the edge of the pit, but unsuccessfully, letting out a cry of surprise and fell entirely into it.

Then, with another ”ka” sound, the floor swiftly closed!

If Lou Fei’Er hadn’t reacted quickly, she might have lost the hand she reached in!

The scene instantly turned silent.

What just happened?!

The floor had already returned to its smooth state, with no anomalies.

Lou Fei’Er reached out to touch the floor: ”There’s no hint.”

”Ying?” Keke jumped down from Xu Xin’s shoulder, stood on the floor, and scratched it with a paw, appearing very confused.

”This, this... What’s going on here?!” Zhao Xiaochuan was a bit flustered, ”How could she just fall in? Is this a trap?!”

In the cage, the double-headed lion once again looked over here, then both heads yawned and continued to lie down and sleep.

It seemed to understand the current situation.

”Did you just see what was below?” Xu Xin asked Lou Fei’Er.

Lou Fei’Er shook her head: ”Didn’t see, it closed too fast.”

”... This might be the entrance to the warehouse.” Xu Xin looked at the metal bar that Wen Guixin had just gripped.

”Ah? This is the warehouse entrance?” Zhao Xiaochuan exclaimed, ”What do you mean, this mechanism is the warehouse entrance?”

This mechanism was truly well-hidden.

Who would generally touch the bars of a cage holding a giant beast?

Moreover, as long as daring to touch them, this beast would roar threateningly.

Under the threat of that imposing roar, who would dare touch the bars of the beast’s cage?

Let alone, out of so many bars, only this one could trigger the mechanism.

Xu Xin squinted his eyes: ”You two, step back a little. Keke, you too.”

”Ying?”

”What are you going to do?” Lou Fei’Er noticed Xu Xin’s intention to grab the bar and immediately spoke, ”How about I try it?”

”Do you have my ability to discern? Alright, step back a bit.”

”Okay...” Lou Fei’Er picked up Keke from the floor and took a few steps back with Zhao Xiaochuan.

Xu Xin also stepped back a bit, pulled out his long halberd, and forcefully struck the metal bar with it.
