Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 662: Chapter 449: This is really well-hidden! (A grand Chapter with 4,800 words!)

”No way...” The few people looked up at the gigantic double-headed lion in the cage, somewhat speechless.

Special prison...

The giant beast seems to be guarding something...

A special introduction appeared.

This was an introduction that those empty prisons before did not have.

Is this really just a warehouse?

Let the double-headed lion guard the warehouse door?

”Hmm...?”

Keke saw that after the double-headed giant lion roared once, it only stared at them and didn’t continue with any threatening actions. Thus, she raised her small head from Xu Xin’s embrace and made eye contact with the double-headed giant lion.

”The warehouse is inside here?!” Zhao Xiaochuan reacted only then, exclaiming loudly.

Wen Guixin immediately swiped open her watch to check Wang Lei’s name.

Luckily, the name was lit up.

”Fortunately, it wasn’t eaten by this gigantic lion...” Wen Guixin breathed a sigh of relief.

Xu Xin started moving. He approached the cage housing the giant beast that resembled a mix of cow and sheep.

Before, as long as he walked past this cage, the giant beast would stare at him with terrifying, demon-like slit pupils without blinking.

Originally lying in the cage, it had already stood up, and its slit eyes no longer focused in Xu Xin’s direction.

It leaned towards the direction of Lou Fei’Er, peering sideways.

Its breathing was heavy, with jets of hot air bursting from its nostrils, while its menacing horns scraped against the bars with a ”zzzz” sound. The rear hooves repeatedly stamped against the ground.

Though not as agitated as those bugs, it was clearly much more irritable than before.

Comparatively, the double-headed giant lion was much more composed than it.

”Don’t come over.” Xu Xin waved at Lou Fei’Er, who wanted to come over, halting her movement, and then reached out to touch this cage.

The introduction to this cage was just a plain, ordinary introduction.

There was no mention of special prison, nor any hint of the giant beast guarding anything.

It seems to be correct.

”How about that side, anything special?” Wen Guixin stood in front of the cage of the double-headed giant lion, staring at it, while asking Xu Xin.

”Everything is normal here. This cage holding the double-headed lion should be where the warehouse we’re looking for is.” Xu Xin returned and spoke.

At the same time, he conveyed the introduction he saw to the others.

The other three immediately reached out towards the cage bars to touch them.

”Really, the introduction of the prison is a special prison!” Lou Fei’Er exclaimed in surprise.

”Roar!”

In the cage, the double-headed giant lion saw the people around its cage had no intention to leave. Instead, they were touching the cage bars and opened its mouth to roar again!

However, this time, apart from Keke letting out another ’hmm’ and burrowing into Xu Xin’s chest, the others paid no attention to the roar of the big creature, instead furrowing their brows in thought.

After all, this big creature can’t get out and can’t hurt them.

”How do we get inside here?” Zhao Xiaochuan asked hesitantly.

Xu Xin was also pondering.

Honestly, if not for Wang Lei disappearing, he might have thought opening this cage required manipulation of the control panel to get inside.

But since Wang Lei disappeared here, it indicated...

There might be other passageways here.

”I know!” Wen Guixin’s eyes suddenly lit up, and she immediately reached out to grab a bar of the cage.

”Roar!”

As she grabbed the bar, the beast in the cage unleashed a roar that echoed throughout the underground prison.

The roar was overwhelmingly oppressive, causing everyone except Wen Guixin to involuntarily retreat two steps.

And Xu Xin quickly covered his ears before the roar, with frustration written all over his face.

No, if this continues, his head is going to explode from the roar!

Wen Guixin, however, did not release her grip amidst the roar but instead stared at the double-headed giant lion.

And the double-headed giant lion did not attack her hand holding the bar.

One of its heads stared at her, eyes wide with anger, while the other looked towards Xu Xin and the others, emitting a low growl from its throat, seemingly trying to scare them away.

”What did you discover?” Xu Xin asked.

”I found out why Wang Lei just suddenly ran out.” Wen Guixin released her grip on the cage.

”Just now, when you startled that super giant beast to roar, Wang Lei, Zhao Xiaochuan, and I had just explored here. At that time, when Zhao Xiaochuan was startled by the tremor from the ground attack, he ran straight up to find you. I stayed here with him, originally intending to continue exploring a bit, but was overwhelmed by that creature’s call, then... he leaned against this cage.”

She mimicked Wang Lei’s posture, leaning against the cage and then slowly sitting down.

In the cage, the giant beast struck its front claws angrily against the ground, one of its heads roaring furiously at Wen Guixin as she touched the cage.

Its deterrent power was formidable!

But except for Xu Xin, who preemptively blocked his ears, no one else paid attention to it.

Even Keke waved her little paw at the giant beast, letting out a dissatisfied ”hmm,” as if saying, ”You big creature, besides roaring, what else can you do? Stop roaring, it’s too noisy!”

”This big creature didn’t roar at us back then, so I thought it was also stunned by that silent roar.” Wen Guixin turned her head to look at the big creature behind her, ”At that time, it obediently huddled in the corner, not daring to move at all.”
