Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 656: Chapter 445: Isn’t This Too Unfair? (4,800-Word Chapter)_3

The vine cluster was only about three hundred meters away from her, but at that time she dared not move, and her whole body was in extreme pain, making it difficult to move.

She felt a bit of despair at that moment.

Fortunately, her mutated body’s ability to self-recover was still strong, and the initially bloody injuries gradually healed considerably. She regained complete control over her body and lay quietly in the vine cluster, waiting for the right opportunity.

”I was lying there, observing the surroundings with the corner of my eye, and found that within about a two hundred-meter range around the vine cluster, there were no underground creatures, not just giant beasts, but not even a bug!”

”Which means, even this tiger seemed hesitant to approach there. So, at that time, I took the empty area around the vine cluster as my goal, waiting for the chance to act.”

This waiting made her lie there for at least over two hours.

That’s right, she had been around the vine cluster for over two hours already.

Even though she wasted quite a lot of time in the initial room, she hadn’t been slow along the way.

Speeding to the max, she sprinted here in a hurry; the ten-kilometer journey didn’t even take ten minutes.

Instead, too much time was wasted at the starting point and near the endpoint.

Xu Xin patted the little head of Keke, who had once again fallen asleep in his arms, calculating the time point.

Yeah, at this time point, he’d already started exploring in the underground prison.

”I really didn’t dare to move, not even to breathe heavily, fearing that any movement would alert the tiger that was merely ten meters away from me! At that distance, it could reach me with just a swipe of its claw!” Lou Fei’Er thought about that scene, her body slightly trembling, subconsciously leaning closer to Xu Xin.

The others were also somewhat speechless, not knowing what to say.

Such a scene, just imagining it, was torment!

And the turning point of events just occurred moments ago.

The few roars from the underground creatures ended Lou Fei’Er’s torment.

”At the time, I was still nervously lying there, suddenly feeling dizzy, and extremely uncomfortable in my organs.” Lou Fei’Er recalled her feelings, covering her heart with her hand, ”I don’t know why, just felt really uncomfortable.”

”At that time, feeling too uncomfortable and having been lying for too long made my spirit a bit blurred, and suddenly, my body curled up. Then, the tiger beside me suddenly stood up!”

”I was really scared to death at that moment!” Lou Fei’Er covered her heart with both hands, ”I really thought I was going to die, in a way that even the burst mode couldn’t save me!”

”But it didn’t; it seemed not to stand up because of me, but it let out a low growl toward the direction of the vine cluster, then slowly retreated away from it.”

Xu Xin and the others knew why.

The giant tiger was also frightened by the roars of the underground giant beasts.

These underground creatures were indeed absurdly strong.

”At that time, I was very unwell and didn’t pay close attention to the movements of the big tiger. By the time I recovered, it had already retreated over a hundred meters and was continuing to retreat.”

”However, over a hundred meters was nothing to it. I kept waiting for a while, then saw it encounter another giant beast, and they started a fierce fight, difficult to separate!”

”I immediately sprang up from the spot and rushed over here! Then... you know what happened. I fell down and lost consciousness, and when I woke up, I was here.”

After narrating her experience, Lou Fei’Er couldn’t help but grumble, ”This is really too unfair! Anyway, let’s say I suffered for you all...”

What she said was indeed correct, a person had to stay outside the space ring, so at that time, both she and the ring were indispensable.

However, her experience was truly somewhat miserable.

Xu Xin stroked Keke’s furry ears, starting to think.

Under normal circumstances, after everyone was eroded by the Red Mist and entered this underground world, Lou Fei’Er’s condition should be the same as all of theirs.

Maybe, it would be slightly easier for her, since she often bathed in the Red Mist and would inhale large amounts of Red Mist, having accumulated a lot of Red Mist energy.

But even if somewhat easier, it wouldn’t be by much.

After all, once drawing the attention of a giant beast, the results wouldn’t be much different.

Under such circumstances, everyone would basically act like her, running towards the space around the vine cluster with no underground creatures to avoid the chasing giant beasts.

That area with no underground creatures is essentially a trap!

After entering this area, even if you luckily avoid triggering the trap, the survivor at this moment should be exhausted and have greatly reduced combat power.

And once they enter the prison through that passage, they would likely be easily subdued and caged by the administrator controlling various mechanisms or underground creatures.

Thinking like this, his previous speculation was likely correct.

All of them should have been locked in the cage.

This should be the most normal situation.

If it really is like this, then isn’t the breakthrough of this activity within those cages?

What is it in those prisons that they haven’t discovered yet?
