Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 668: Chapter 451: Finally Out! (Double Chapter)

This portal to the underground world is truly astonishing!

He originally thought they just needed to find a way back above ground, but now it seems...

It seems...

They’re meant to open a two-way portal?!

This...

Xu Xin’s expression grew slightly serious.

It means that once this portal is opened, it will remain, allowing them to travel to and from the underground world.

But that brings up a problem.

Will only they, the survivors, be able to use this portal to travel to and from the underground world?

Or can the creatures from the underground world... also use it?

Is it really an open portal, or is it controlled by them?

If it’s an open portal, even if they manage to get out, there will be major trouble.

But...

A hint of helplessness flashed in Xu Xin’s eyes.

That’s something they can’t avoid.

Even if it’s an open portal, they have to open it.

Otherwise, the mission cannot be completed, and the six of them would have to... ”leave this beautiful world forever.”

Better to save their necks first.

”So, what do you see?” Wen Guixin, seeing Xu Xin’s expressive face, immediately asked curiously.

”...This key...”

Xu Xin shared what he had seen with them.

”Vine cluster branches?” Instantly, the people around thought of the six vine bundles that brought them to this underground world.

”This refers to those vine clusters outside. There are also six keys, and the branch prisons are six, matching in number,” Wen Guixin immediately commented.

”It should be right,” Xu Xin nodded, ”The vine cluster branches must be those.”

”Wait a minute,” Zhao Xiaochuan looked at the key in Xu Xin’s hand, puzzled, ”What does it mean, vine cluster branch prison? Is it located...”

”At the connection point of those six vine cluster branches to the surface!” Lou Fei’Er realized and exclaimed, then grimaced, ”No way!! Do I have to go back...?”

Remembering the experience of coming here, she felt unwell.

”If there are a total of six keys, are the other five also in this warehouse?” Wang Lei glanced around.

”Let’s find all six keys first before we proceed. By the way, you must have found some good stuff too, right?” Wen Guixin tossed a mineral in her hand and smiled, ”Xu Xin, is this in my hand also gold-grade?”

The metal ore in her hand indeed emitted a golden glow.

”That’s right, it’s definitely gold-grade,” Xu Xin nodded, glancing at the group, and curiously said, ”Alright, let’s stash all the other items in our backpacks and focus on finding the remaining five keys. This place is not safe; it’s better to quickly find what we truly need.”

Especially those statues, no one knows if they might suddenly move. It’s best to find the keys they need as soon as possible.

”Okay.”

”Let’s split up!”

Everyone found their direction and scattered, searching the shelves for potential keys.

”Ying!”

Before Xu Xin could start searching, Keke suddenly popped out from the group of statues and tugged at Xu Xin’s leg.

Then it turned and ran a few steps, looking back at Xu Xin: ”Ying!”

Is it asking him to follow?

Could it be that Keke found something?

He immediately followed Keke to a shelf.

”Ying!” Keke climbed to the top of the shelf and with a swipe of its little paw, a key fell down.

Xu Xin quickly reached out and caught it.

Indeed, it’s the second [Vine Cluster Key]!

”Well done, Keke!” Xu Xin immediately patted Keke’s head as it jumped down from the shelf.

”Ying!” Keke lifted its head, then continued to lead the way.

This little one, having disappeared for so long, could it have found all the keys?

He continued to follow Keke and soon ended up in a corner of the warehouse.

In this corner, there were no shelves, just a floor covered with large burlap sacks, all bulging, filled with who knows what.

The burlap sacks were ordinary green-level sacks, but from the unsealed openings and some torn gaps in the sacks, a purple light was emitted.

”Ying!” Keke climbed into the pile of sacks and pushed one of the large bags.

Xu Xin immediately went in, picked up the sack Keke pointed at.

Wow, it’s quite heavy!

[Growth Feed (Purple): Can rapidly grow juvenile creatures into adults, but lifespan will be shortened. Not recommended for non-mutant creatures.]

Wow!

It’s...

Feed that accelerates the growth of mutant creatures!

The items in this warehouse all seem related to the cultivation and development of mutant creatures!

These are good items, better pack them all!

”Ying!” Keke drilled into an exposed opening left after the sack was lifted, and a moment later poked out its small head.

This time, it held in its mouth a large key glowing with a golden light.

Whoa, it found another one!

Xu Xin quickly put away the key and asked, ”Keke, did you find any other keys?”

”Ying!” Keke nodded and then jumped out of the pile of sacks, wanting to lead Xu Xin to find more.
