Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 679: Chapter 454: The Organizer of the Event (5,000-Word Chapter)_3

No mistake this time!

He and Ji Chaoyang exchanged a glance, both seeing the gravity in each other’s eyes.

Unexpectedly, the opposing sides in those activities they’ve experienced before...

Were they all under control?

”...If you fail to complete your mission, will you be punished?” Ji Chaoyang asked, ”Like... leaving this beautiful world?”

What Ji Chaoyang asked was exactly what Xu Xin wanted to know.

”No.” Chang Yin shook his head, ”I know the survivors have punishments, but I don’t have any, they’re just making me do these things.”

”However, I can’t guarantee the furry monkeys don’t have punishments, because they seemed extremely nervous and terrified after simultaneously receiving this message.”

”So much so that they ostracized me directly, their rival.” Chang Yin spread his hands helplessly, ”Those monkeys wanted to exclude me from the plan so I wouldn’t interfere with them, telling me not to enter the prison today.”

”So you agreed?” Lou Fei’Er raised an eyebrow and asked, ”Aren’t you the warden of this prison, just kicked out like that?”

”What could I do if I disagreed?” Chang Yin shrugged, ”Though those monkeys are certainly not my match, they represent the Blood Pattern Race. Moreover, I have no interest in participating in organizing this activity, so I just went along with it.”

”However...” He glanced at the six present, ”Later, I pondered for a bit and felt that those participating in this event were very likely to be you all. But when I wanted to return to the prison, I discovered I was trapped in my room.”

”Trapped in your own room?”

Chang Yin nodded: ”It’s my room, but it’s actually just the accommodation they provided me. I need to return every day, otherwise they’d consider me as having escaped, then they’d do something to Xue Lan and Xiaohong...”

As he said this, his words paused, and his tone noticeably darkened.

”...I was trapped in the room like that until...”

He looked at Ji Chaoyang: ”Until brother Ji Chaoyang opened my room from the outside, letting me out, and I came with him to the outside of the underground prison.”

”By the time we got there, the prison had been completely sealed.” He glanced at Xu Xin and the others, ”Did you all anger the big guy down there? Made it impossible for me to enter the prison through normal means. I could only give you some hints with difficulty.”

He looked at Lou Fei’Er: ”Transmitting sound is a function of this prison for communication between managers, but it’s only effective on mutated creatures. Your mutation is special; the sentence I transmitted was already my limit. As for the key, I controlled a little insect to carry it over to you.”

”Luckily you didn’t touch the console but followed the clues I provided to find the way out.” Chang Yin smiled, ”Most of the keys on those consoles are very dangerous, and to prevent others from using them, they’ve even set up backlash devices. Thank goodness you didn’t touch them, or you might end up petrified.”

So that’s how it was...

Everyone seemed thoughtful.

”Thank you so much, brother,” Wang Lei said broadly, ”Without you, our only choice would be to touch the console.”

Indeed, without the administrators and organizers of the activity, only Chang Yin was left; if he hadn’t come, they’d really be at a dead end.

Meanwhile, Xu Xin looked at Ji Chaoyang, who had been quiet so far.

”So, what exactly did you experience? How did you meet Chang Yin?” Xu Xin asked curiously.

”My experience is actually very simple.”

Ji Chaoyang was digesting the information brought by Chang Yin, his brows tightly knit, and he shook his head upon hearing Xu Xin’s question.

”I just simply followed the prophecy and found his location, then released him.”

”A new prophecy?... The prophecy you told us last time has already been realized? Isn’t that...” Xu Xin was slightly taken aback.

Wasn’t Ji Chaoyang’s prophecy about seeing Xue Lan trapped in the prison after running down a spiral staircase?

Has Xue Lan already been brought out?

Yet Chang Yin hadn’t mentioned...

”No.” Ji Chaoyang shook his head, ”That prophecy hasn’t been realized, but since we triggered the mechanism above and came down, a new prophecy indeed emerged in my mind, even though the previous one hasn’t been realized.”

His words made the others slightly startled.

”Your ability has enhanced?” Wen Guixin asked in surprise.

Ji Chaoyang nodded: ”Indeed, it’s enhanced, and it suddenly strengthened upon entering this underground world. So...”

He looked at the others, puzzled: ”Actually, ever since I came down, I wondered that if my ability was enhanced, then what about yours? Haven’t your abilities enhanced?”

Enhanced abilities?

Xu Xin was slightly taken aback.

”Ah! Right! Exactly!” Wang Lei slapped his thigh, realizing, ”I said, since coming down, my strength seems greater than before! So it wasn’t just an illusion!”

”Your strength has enhanced again?” Wen Guixin asked looking at him in surprise.

”If you put it that way...” Zhao Xiaochuan gradually widened his eyes, ”My ability seems to have enhanced too!”

”My ability used to fail when touched, but on the way here, I accidentally touched several fast-moving giant insects, and they completely ignored me!”

”I thought at the time those insects weren’t interested in me, but now it seems, could it be...”

Oh?

Xu Xin felt a bit dazed.

Abilities enhance after coming to the underground world?
