Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 675: Chapter 453: Stone Statue Plan (5000-word Mega Chapter)_2

”Not killing them, is it because they still have some use?” Lou Fei’Er speculated, then glanced at Xu Xin.

She had a deep understanding of this.

If she hadn’t been useful back then, her grave would probably be covered with grass three feet high by now.

”You’re right,” Chang Yin nodded, ”it’s precisely because they’re unwilling to kill these creatures.”

He continued to explain.

”At the time, this group of extraterrestrials astonishingly discovered that creatures with both giant beast bloodlines exhibited a Blood Pattern mutation, significantly surpassing ordinary Blood Pattern creatures of the same level in strength.”

Xu Xin nodded.

Indeed. The Blood Pattern mutation can enhance a creature’s strength, but it only amplifies the creature’s existing capabilities. If a creature is inherently weak, no level of Blood Pattern mutation can make it exceptionally strong.

This was something he had known for a long time.

During a previous hunting activity, the battle power of a mid-level mutated wildcat summoned through an altar was easily crushed by an ordinary tiger.

It can be said that a creature’s innate ability is its base value, while the Blood Pattern mutation acts as a multiplier on that base value.

And this multiplier is related to the level of the Blood Pattern mutation.

A rabbit with a base value of 1, even if amplified a hundred times, still cannot defeat a tiger with a base value of 200.

But if the tiger’s abilities were amplified a hundred times...

That would be outrageously powerful!

So, if a massive beast-like creature undergoes a Blood Pattern mutation to enhance its strength, its power would be unimaginable!

”Therefore, if they could control the giant beast bloodline, their race’s strength would greatly increase.”

Chang Yin continued to explain.

If such a thing could really be achieved, it would be their greatest gain on this planet.

Yet, they quickly discovered that the giant beast bloodline would not only enhance strength and speed but would also significantly boost Spiritual Power, providing a comprehensive enhancement of physical abilities.

One main reason they controlled Blood Pattern creatures was that their Spiritual Power drastically reduced after mutation, making them easier to control.

However, the giant beast bloodline could reinstate the diminished Spiritual Power, making mutated creatures with a strong giant beast bloodline difficult to control.

Even if they were successfully controlled in their youth, they would easily escape control as adults.

Nevertheless, the Blood Pattern Race did not give up.

After another period of cultivation, they discovered the biggest difference between the giant beast bloodline and the Blood Pattern mutation: heredity.

”The giant beast bloodline can be inherited, but the Blood Pattern mutation cannot,” Chang Yin pointed to Lou Fei’Er sitting beside them, ”For example, although she has undergone a Blood Pattern mutation, her offspring will not be affected at all, remaining ordinary humans.”

”Huh?” Lou Fei’Er was taken aback, ”Is that so?”

”I’ve known about this for a long time,” Xu Xin nodded, ”Blood Pattern mutations are not hereditary.”

The simplest example is the three pangolins he tamed.

Consort was a mutated creature, but the two little ones did not have a trace of the Blood Pattern mutation.

Chang Yin nodded, ”However, the giant beast bloodline can be inherited, which is good news for the Blood Pattern Race intending to cultivate Blood Pattern Giant Beasts. Thus, the plan for this underground world was born.”

”They created this new underground world, releasing the giant beasts with rich bloodlines into this underground world and allowing them to develop mutations independently, which is what I mentioned before.”

So, this is how this world was born...

However...

”How did you come to know about this?” Xu Xin asked him, ”The last time we met, you were unaware of such things. And how is this related to what you’re currently doing?”

Although he asked, he had already roughly guessed the answer.

Moreover, considering how detailed Chang Yin’s explanation was, they likely needed their help.

”Of course, there’s a connection,” Chang Yin answered Xu Xin’s second question. He thought of something and showed a somewhat weary smile, ”As I mentioned earlier, the Blood Pattern Race released these creatures into this world to control the Blood Pattern Giant Beasts and enhance their race’s capabilities, right?”

”The Blood Pattern Giant Beasts are like extremely powerful Genetic Warriors. If they could be controlled, it would elevate the entire race’s power. Therefore, this outsider ’Blood Pattern Race’, though they certainly invaded countless planets, pays particular attention to our world, our planet.”

”Their initial plan was to have these giant beasts continuously mutate in this underground world, and while releasing new species into the underground world, they also captured some mutated species for experiments.”

”They wanted to see if it was possible to mutate a giant beast with a strong body but weak Spiritual Power in the underground world for their enslavement. Of course, at the same time, they experimented on the giant beasts in various ways, and this underground world was just a part of the experiment.”

After saying this, Chang Yin paused slightly, allowing those present to process the information he had conveyed.

Those present, especially apart from Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang, felt overwhelmed by the vast amount of information, all displaying expressions of shock and confusion.
