Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 642: Chapter 434: Dance of a Myriad Demons! (4800-word mega Chapter, Happy Mid-Autumn Festival everyone!)_3

The pairs of gigantic beasts, upon noticing the running Xu Xin, unexpectedly halted their attacks simultaneously, their blood-red eyes fixed intently in his direction.

”Eep!” Keke noticed the change in the surrounding beasts before Xu Xin did, anxiously clawing at Xu Xin’s armor.

When Xu Xin saw the eyes of the surrounding beasts turn towards him, his heart jolted violently, and he gradually slowed down until he came to a stop.

These beasts were only a few hundred meters away from him.

Standing twenty or thirty meters tall, a few hundred meters was like a few dozen meters, or even just ten meters, to them—it would only take a matter of seconds to approach!

Damn it, why were these gigantic beasts suddenly attracted to him?

Couldn’t they have more respect for the fight!

What does it mean to suddenly stop in the middle of a battle!

He’d thought these beasts wouldn’t notice his actions during their fight, yet they had directly attracted the gaze of every beast around!

”Bang! Bang!”

”Rustle... Crunch...”

All around him, the gigantic beasts were moving towards his direction from all sides.

Whether walking on legs or crawling, they were all converging towards him.

Xu Xin’s eyelids twitched.

This was too terrifying!

”Eep! Eep!!” Keke gestured frantically with its tiny paws.

Its meaning was clear.

It was urging Xu Xin to escape quickly!

Indeed, this time he had to run!

If it were just one gigantic beast, it would be manageable, but with so many of them, even if the stealth cloak concealed him from their sight, any accidental step could still squish him to death!

But if he tried to slip away, the stealth cloak would immediately become ineffective, and he would be discovered by the beasts at point-blank range—making escape even more impossible!

No, he had to find a way out!

What to do?

Summon the Silver King?

But the Silver King would just be a sitting duck, plus there were tiger-like beasts around that he doubted the Silver King could evade their explosive pursuit!

They were not only fast, covering ten of his steps in a single bound, how could he possibly outrun them!

Should he run himself?

That would be even less feasible!

Large beads of sweat rolled from his forehead, as Xu Xin felt that since entering this underground world, he had been persistently wretched.

That’s it!

Pollution water!

He still had pollution water in his backpack!

Touching the pollution water would attract attacks from nearby mutant creatures, but what about other creatures?

He recalled the situation at that time.

The black armoured bug that emerged from the polluted river was fiercely attacked by the vines, and the giant rhino drinking at the riverside was also continuously attacked by the vines.

He suddenly remembered an odd fact.

Apart from those two, there seemed to be no other mutant creatures drinking by the river.

Nor were there any creatures in the river.

Why?

Could it be that ordinary underground creatures couldn’t drink the river water?

Because if they were tainted by the river water, they would also be attacked en masse?

Quite possible!

He immediately scanned his surroundings, spotting a giant larva lying lazily on the ground about a dozen meters to his right front.

A mammoth caterpillar with a bright green body covered in dense spiny hairs.

It’s you!

Xu Xin immediately pushed off with his foot, leaping diagonally forward, reaching the giant caterpillar in just two strides.

Then, he grabbed his backpack and tossed a bucket of pollution water onto the caterpillar!

The caterpillar hadn’t even reacted before Xu Xin, abandoning the bucket, sprinted towards a massive thick vine structure barely a kilometer away!

As he splashed the pollution water and leaped ten meters in a single bound, the surroundings fell silent for a second.

What followed were beastly roars from all directions!

And right in front of Xu Xin, a giant, dinosaur-like creature came charging at him!

Its speed was astonishing!

Dammit!

Xu Xin’s pupils shrank as he forcefully pushed off to the side, swiftly leaping aside!

He narrowly evaded the dinosaur’s charge!

Hugging Keke, he rolled on the ground and then sprinted forward desperately for several hundred meters before looking back.

As he had fled, he heard countless beasts roaring and fighting behind him, and when he turned back to look, the sight was even more alarming!

The caterpillar he poured water on had at this point turned into a pile of pulp.

The surrounding gigantic beasts, crashing into each other, had begun a frenzied melee!

The scene was utterly chaotic!

Sharp tusks, terrifying claws, twisting and powerful horns, and bloody red maws—all deployed with no restraint in the madness as the beasts battled ferociously!

Xu Xin even saw scales and giant teeth flying all around!

All glowing with a purplish hue!

However, he couldn’t spare any time to retrieve those things, so he turned and sprinted towards the massive vine structure!

Swiftly picking up scales left from the battles of two snakes on the ground as he passed, stuffing them into his backpack.

Not bothering to check them, he kept sprinting!

”Eep! Eepeeep!”

When he was only two or three hundred meters from the vine structure, Keke began to panic.

He took a couple more strides, then gradually halted, gasping heavily.

He lifted his head and looked back to ensure no gigantic beasts were following, heaved a long sigh of relief.

Then, he turned back to face the massive vine structure looming nearby.

The vine structure, straight that pierced into the ground, incomparably thick, composed of countless vines about twenty centimeters in diameter entwining with each other, now presented itself clearly before him!
