Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 605: Chapter 414: Woman with Broken Legs_2

Xu Xin nodded.

Qin Fu’s outburst increased his Spiritual Power; his weakness is naturally related to the mind, and falling into sleep during the weakness phase is quite normal.

As for Zeng Tao’s weakness, it is physical.

Furthermore, she didn’t expend much energy during her outburst, basically conserving her strength, so she didn’t end up fainting like Lou Fei’Er and Ma Hongwei did when entering their weak phase.

However, weak is still indeed weak.

”Which direction is your treehouse?” Xu Xin asked.

”Hmm... over there. Do you see that distant hint of green? That’s my treehouse.”

Zeng Tao wanted to raise her hand, but couldn’t. After all, it’s her first time entering the weakness phase, the weakest time, so she could only slightly raise her chin, using her eyes to indicate: ”Luckily, it’s all barren now. If it were the dense forest before, my low treehouse would be impossible to find.”

Xu Xin looked over.

He had already eaten blue-grade red berries, and with night vision, there was indeed a hint of green, though not very obvious.

Indeed, it’s a low treehouse.

He then looked at Number One and asked, ”Which direction is your treehouse in?”

Unsure if he would understand?

Only to see Number One raise his furry arm, pointing in a direction.

Over there, a much more noticeable green appeared in their field of vision.

It’s basically in the opposite direction of Zeng Tao.

”Let’s head to Yan Haoming’s treehouse first,” Zeng Tao suggested. ”Mine doesn’t matter, rescuing people is the priority!”

Just now in the wristband, Lou Fei’Er had already told her about Yan Haoming’s actions.

Seeing this hairy monster, she immediately felt disgusted, wishing to kill the creature right away.

”That’s the plan; you should go inside the wristband and rest now.”

Xu Xin took Zeng Tao and Number One into the wristband, while Lou Fei’Er didn’t go inside, riding on Axue together with Xu Xin towards their destination.

The distance wasn’t far, just about a dozen kilometers.

Soon, they reached the vicinity of the treehouse.

A blue-grade treehouse.

About twenty meters from the treehouse, a parasitic treehouse was planted.

The tormented woman should be inside the parasitic treehouse.

Xu Xin and Lou Fei’Er rode the wolf closer.

Both the main treehouse and the parasitic treehouse were equipped with several heavy crossbows.

However, since Xu Xin was already the contract master of their original owner, Yan Haoming, these two treehouses were also under his control.

As they approached, a heavy crossbow on the parasitic treehouse suddenly swiveled and aimed at them.

”Who... who are you?” A somewhat weak female voice, clearly struggling, came from the parasitic treehouse.

Her voice carried traces of pain, along with near-desperate madness.

”Don’t be afraid, we’re here to rescue you, Jin Yue.” Xu Xin called her by name.

”Hmm...” Keke didn’t sense any danger, turning over and continuing to sleep in Xu Xin’s arms.

”Rescue me...? How do you know my name! Who are you...! Ah...” The woman’s voice was tinged with disbelief, her words cut off by a low moan of pain.

She likely touched her injuries.

Xu Xin definitely knew her name.

Because on Yan Haoming’s watch, in the parasitic treehouse section, he had seen this name.

The sole owner of the parasitic treehouse, Jin Yue.

”Don’t worry, he’s called Xu Xin, you might have heard his name, right?” Lou Fei’Er spoke, ”We really are here to rescue you.”

Typically, in such crisis situations, a female voice is more reassuring and trustworthy than a male voice.

Especially since Jin Yue, having experienced what she did, would have less trust in males.

”...Xu... Xin?... Uh?” The woman’s voice grew softer until the two couldn’t hear it anymore.

The two remained silent, giving her time to ponder.

”Are you... really Xu Xin?” The woman’s weak voice came again from the treehouse.

”That’s right.” Xu Xin nodded.

”...Then come up. I’ll pull you up.” Jin Yue’s voice was very calm.

Xu Xin and Lou Fei’Er exchanged a glance, both seeing the doubt in each other’s eyes.

What’s the situation?

However, neither feared a woman with broken legs, dismounted from the wolf, and walked over.

Then, they were lowered by the treehouse roots, and the two did not dodge, allowing the roots to bring them up.

In fact, Xu Xin could control the parasitic treehouse himself.

But he didn’t do so.

Entering the treehouse, they saw a woman with a pale and haggard face, hair in disarray.

She was sitting on the ground, leaning against the mechanism controlling the heavy crossbow, her legs bent in ways impossible under normal circumstances.

Clearly, her legs were broken.

Broken by Yan Haoming.

Even though her face was haggard, hair unruly, and lips nearly devoid of color, one could still see she originally should have been quite a beautiful woman.

However, in times of chaos, without the ability to protect oneself, beauty only brings disaster.

”We...”

”You must be people from around here, right?” The woman raised her head to look at them, her eyes having lost their luster.

”The owner of the adjacent main treehouse has gone far away, and won’t be back today. Kill me, kill me now, and no one here will be able to stop you. You can dispose of the treehouse here as you please.”
