Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 611: Chapter 417: Your Friend Won’t Be Angry, Right?

Soon, Xu Xin reached the hill that Qin Fu had pointed out.

To Xu Xin’s disappointment, this hill didn’t look like a part of a giant’s body from the outside.

Even Keke, resting on his shoulder, showed no reaction, and even opened her small mouth to yawn.

”Squeak...” Keke rubbed her eyes with her little paws.

Looking around, Xu Xin spotted a treehouse several kilometers away.

A treehouse emanating a blue glow.

The greenery there was particularly lush.

That must be Qin Fu’s treehouse.

About three to four kilometers away?

Let’s keep moving forward.

Three to four kilometers is just a two-minute journey for the Silver King now.

As they got closer and saw the full view of the area, Xu Xin’s eyes widened slightly.

This treehouse was unmistakably Qin Fu’s treehouse.

In this cold winter, only the area around his treehouse could display such a vibrant scene.

”Squeak!”

”Howl!”

Keke and the Silver King were also surprised by the scene before them, exclaiming as they took it in.

Xu Xin hadn’t seen such a sight for a long time.

Walking all the way here, apart from seeing greenery near the treehouse, the whole forest was desolate.

Even after the snow melted, the forest showed no signs of new green sprouts.

Compared to the snow-covered forest earlier, this bare forest felt even more bleak and desolate.

Yet here, around Qin Fu’s treehouse, one couldn’t help but be dazzled.

Though there weren’t parasitic treehouses around, only a main treehouse stood, but around the main treehouse...

Poplars, pines, birches, apple trees, and orange trees were planted, with clusters of red berry bushes under them.

And they’re growing particularly lush!

Around the treehouse, covering about fifty to sixty meters, this was the situation.

Moreover, these weren’t green-level trees.

All these trees were blue-level!

Xu Xin glanced at the soil beneath his feet.

The soil around the treehouse had mostly been replaced with blue-level fertile soil.

In the shade under the trees were some red berry bushes, as well as some fungi he had planted.

This area, amid the barren forest, was like an oasis in the desert, stepping inside made one feel quite comfortable.

Xu Xin released Qin Fu from the bracelet.

”Wow, straight home?” Qin Fu stood up, ”Are you going to chop down the treehouse?”

”Chop it down...”

Xu Xin hesitated slightly.

Honestly, after seeing this scene, he felt a bit like preserving it.

Moreover, if they wanted to activate the nearby Snow Mountain Array, they indeed needed a base beside it.

But...

Unfortunately, Qin Fu’s treehouse belonged to district 187.

Even if it’s kept, it wouldn’t mean much.

It can’t accept parasitic survivors, nor enjoy the benefits that district 188 provides to treehouses.

And it would render Qin Fu’s watch unable to connect with district 188, going out would mean losing contact.

Lou Fei’Er might endure this, but not Qin Fu.

A part of his ability is observing surroundings through plants, though the range is much smaller than his map, it includes underground.

So, he would likely be one of their main sources of exploratory information.

He needs to maintain smooth communication at the minimum.

Therefore, from both regional and personal perspectives, it’s not a good choice to keep his treehouse.

Better leave it be.

Just near the Snow Mountain, he had observed around.

He saw a patch of green nearby, which should be a treehouse of district 188.

On the way here, he hadn’t seen any treehouses.

The majority of survivors near them had chopped down their treehouses and fled over there.

Of course, there should have been a few treehouses along this route, after all, not everyone wanted to flee to the explorers.

But they were all killed by Yan Haoming who came along this route.

Their treehouse seeds and cores are still in Xu Xin’s backpack.

But here, he’s already far from his treehouse, and it’s normal for 188 district treehouses to appear again.

Since there are also survivors from district 188 here, let’s leave the stronghold near the Snow Mountain Array to the district 188 treehouse.

Transplanting Qin Fu’s treehouse seems more appropriate.

And that treehouse...

Find time to go check it out.

”Let’s transplant it,” Xu Xin nodded, ”Gather your trees and soil too.”

Blue-level wood and soil are the most essential basic resources for them right now.

Upgrading to purple-level resources requires consuming an equivalent amount of blue-level resources. Likewise, crafting purple-level weapons and equipment also requires consuming large amounts of blue-level resources.

He released Lou Fei’Er too, and together they chopped down the surrounding blue-level trees and dug up all the blue-level soil.

During the excavation, Lou Fei’Er learned about Qin Fu’s ability.

”So...” she patted the trunk of the last poplar tree, ”this poplar is considered your friend? It won’t be angry if I chop it down?”

Though teasing, she swung her axe, chopping the poplar tree into several pieces of blue-level wood.

”You’ve already chopped it down, what would it be angry about.” Qin Fu, having tidied up inside the treehouse and just stepped down, said grumpily, ”This so-called ’communication’ is just my own perception, plants don’t have consciousness.”
