Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 615: Chapter 419: The Sensation Caused by the Red Berries

He informed the other explorers about the upcoming sale of red berries.

The other explorers were already aware of this.

Wen Guixin: ”Let’s trade them, but we don’t lack other resources here, right? Why not trade for some decorations instead?”

Ji Chaoyang: ”I was thinking the same. Artistic creation needs time, but Xu Xin and I are both busy, with hardly any spare time for continuous art creation, providing a large number of low-level decorations.”

It seems Ji Chaoyang has the same thought as him.

He doesn’t want to spend time carving low-level decorations anymore.

After all, he can already engage in high-level creation. Moreover, low-level decorations bring no improvement to him.

Li Wenxi: ”Speaking of the perception ability of the red berries... won’t it let you see things you shouldn’t?”

Hmm, according to Xu Xin’s experience, it indeed seems possible to see...

After consuming red berries, one can even see through the walls of the treehouse.

However, for now and in the future, purple-grade fruits will be very precious, so no one would use something so valuable for such things...

Probably not.

However, thinking about it, these purple-grade red berries are a good thing to peek into the treehouse.

Ultimately, everyone reached a consensus to trade the purple-grade red berries for a large number of low-level decorations.

The previous red berry bush yielded 18 fruits.

He ate one to test the effects and another while dealing with wolves, leaving 16 fruits.

A red berry·extra large (purple) has a duration effect of fifteen minutes.

According to Niu Fugui, the shortcut entrance will glow with a purple light, very easy to find.

So, survivors who consumed the purple-grade red berries only need to circle the stone pillar peak within fifteen minutes to find those two shortcut entrances.

Which means, if used properly, one purple-grade red berry can create an activated array!

He’s planning to keep one as a backup and sell the remaining fifteen.

The reason for keeping only one is that he has a bush that can continuously produce purple-grade red berries.

So he won’t run out in the future.

Moreover, not only him but also Ji Chaoyang, Zhao Xiaochuan, Li Wenxi, and Wen Guixin had all purchased purple-grade fertilizers front and back. Some were just due to late planting or slow-growing wood plants, yet not mature to yield.

Zhao Xiaochuan seems to be planting red berries as well.

He can probably ask Qin Fu for help.

With this thought, Xu Xin’s hands didn’t pause, directly putting fifteen purple-grade red berries on the trading platform, marked at the price of 40 green-grade decorations.

This price is already extremely expensive.

After all, even he hasn’t sculpted that much more green-grade decorations in total.

But he’s not afraid no one will buy.

After all, not everyone is like him and Ji Chaoyang, managing an organization and encountering various matters.

In this winter season, most survivors are actually holed up inside the treehouse, unable to go out most of the time.

In this situation, survivors who gained artist abilities have ample time for artistic creation.

Even if their creation speed isn’t like Xu Xin’s, making twenty an hour, they have enough time to make dozens a day without much issue.

He concisely wrote the function of purple-grade red berries in the trading notes, indicating that consuming them allows viewing through the snow layer to find shortcuts, and one red berry is basically sufficient.

As soon as the trade was launched, it instantly surpassed several pinned trades from other survivors on the leaderboard, climbing to the top of the world trading platform, drawing everyone’s attention.

”Xu Xin has posted a trade! Hurry and grab it!”

”I clicked the trade button without even looking, but the treehouse system prompted me that I lack resources for the trade... I’m broke...”

”No, everyone is broke this time.”

”Eh, this trade...”

”Oh my god!”

”Xu Xin... The explorers, have found a way to end this winter!”

”What?!”

”Whoa, purple-grade red berries?! Xu Xin grew a purple-grade plant?!”

”Does consuming it give perception abilities? Hmm... Brothers, I have a bold idea!”

”Your idea is very ordinary, not bold at all, everyone has that idea.”

”So, using this, our winter can end?!”

”Is winter really ending?! Praise Xu Xin, praise the explorers! The snow outside my treehouse has already covered the first floor’s window, if this continues, it’s really going to bury the treehouse!”

”It still relies on Area 188, it still relies on the explorers!”

”This is the savior!”

After dark, other than Area 188 and Area 1, other regions began to snow again. According to them, compared to the previous days of flying snow, tonight’s snow is already considered a snowstorm!

Which means tonight’s accumulated snow layer might not be less than a meter!

The speed of snow accumulation has accelerated again.

However, this doesn’t concern Area 188.

Xu Xin suddenly noticed someone mentioned Area 187.

”So does anyone know what’s going on with Lou Fei’Er in Area 187? Several people from Area 187 have become part of Area 188 again...”

However, his words didn’t attract much attention.

After all, in everyone’s view, people from Area 187 defecting to Area 188 is a very normal thing.

They are still envious of the location of Area 187.

If they were in Area 187, they would also rush to Area 188.

The world channel is still boiling over.

”Wait a minute, purple-level plants... doesn’t purple-level fertilizer require 20,000 points to buy?!”

”Are you crazy?! 20,000 points?!”

”Damn, report the explorer for cheating! Is this a scam?! How did you get 20,000?! We haven’t even reached 20,000 points!”

”You guys forgot about the explosive crossbow bolts from Area 188? I bought two from someone from Area 188 before, used one, and the explosive effect was comparable to a small grenade. It’s really easy to kill beasts with it.”

”Purple-level fertilizer shouldn’t need 20,000 points. If it’s the previous hunting event’s top scorer, the points would be 30% off, 14,000 points, Xu Xin can save 7,000 points buying purple-level fertilizer.”

”Impressive, saved as much as twenty of me, Xu Xin is amazing, I am useless...”

”Huh? Why do you guys have so few points?”

”People from Area 188, shut up! You guys have the support of big shots, can get explosive bolts, and everyone is allocated several heavy crossbows. We have nothing! How do you expect us to earn points! Why not open these weapon resources to the world channel! Shouldn’t everyone help each other?”

”What madness are you speaking? Is it possible that they only have enough to supply their own area?”

”Exactly, prioritizing your own people, isn’t it very normal.”

”Sigh, Area 188 is really too enviable, I really want to apply to switch areas...”

On the world channel, most people are envious of Area 188 because of the points.

Other areas probably haven’t found a nitrate mine until now, so there are no explosive crossbow bolts which are such wide-ranging destructive weapons.

So even when there was a beast tide attacking before, it wasn’t covered with firepower like Xu Xin did.

Thus, people from outside areas, even if they can craft treehouse heavy crossbows, generally have low points.

Many ordinary survivors can’t even afford skateboard snow suits.

In their view, Area 188 is an area of elite and wealthy people.

”Oh, look quickly, Xu Xin has already sold three of the red berries he listed!”

”Speaking of which, is this price serious? Each purple-level red berry requires forty pieces of green-level handmade decorations? What is this about?”

”I know, a big shot in our area sold two in the past few days, one piece adds 10 points to decoration! They reportedly exchanged for many blue-level resources!”

”What? One piece can be exchanged for a lot of blue-level resources? Then forty pieces... isn’t this price too expensive?”

”? One piece, equivalent to a Transmission Array, expensive?”

At this time, on the area channel, people from Area 188 were exchanging views too.

”Hahaha, it’s killing me, perspective? We in Area 188 don’t need this thing at all, all the snow has melted!”

”Speaking of which, why sell them to others? Wouldn’t it be better to activate thirty arrays ourselves?”

”Then go climb a mountain?”

”Winter cannot continue, otherwise it might also be dangerous for us here, I fully support Brother Xin, and the decisions of those great explorers!”

As for Xu Xin, he was already collecting green-level decorations.

In just a few minutes, he had sold four red berries, three of which came from Area 1.

The demand in Area 1 was quite large, and they were very generous in their purchases.

It seemed they didn’t really think it over, just two minutes after listing on the trading platform, they bought three in succession.

Those two minutes probably used for preparing the green-level decoration supplies.

As for Area 23, they were somewhat hesitant, not a single purchase had been made yet.

That Fang Tianyang even pinned a new trade, openly questioning whether Xu Xin’s situation was true and if a guarantee could be provided to really find them.

Xu Xin couldn’t be bothered with him.

What use is asking this?

Even if it’s not true, would I tell you?

Too much nonsense.

Because he had already sold four red berries, he also had 160 green-level artworks in hand.

With so many green-level artworks, even if he were to craft them himself, he would need to focus entirely for eight hours!

Moreover...

Looking at the decorations in hand, Xu Xin raised his eyebrows.

These artworks included all the types he and Ji Chaoyang could craft.

Crystal carvings, ink paintings, rosewood carvings, beast head trophies, oil paintings.

These are the decorations he and Ji Chaoyang could craft, and they have basically already met the other’s requirements for green-level decorations.

But besides that, he also saw two other types of decorations.

Animal bone specimens and ceramic flower pots!

Two new types of artworks have appeared!

Animal bone specimens are similar to the fossil assemblies seen in museums, using beast bones, pieced together and adhered to form a complete animal bone model.

Ceramic flower pots, as the name suggests, are flower pots with various beautiful patterns on them, and they even have planting functionality, although they can only plant small green-level plants, much worse than the flower pots in the points mall.

But for Xu Xin, this is good news!

Because his decoration score can increase again!
