Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 612: Chapter 417: Your Friend Won’t Be Angry, Right?_2

”If you put it that way, I have to disagree with you.” Lou Fei’Er packed up the wood and dug out the soil again. ”Those vines in the dangerous area, the plant heart from the Treehouse Defense Battle, and those strange plant monsters... Can you really say they have no consciousness? Maybe the poplars in this world do have their own awareness.”

”...Don’t say that...” Qin Fu looked pained. ”Saying it like that makes me feel a bit guilty, and my efficiency in cutting trees will decrease in the future.”

”It’s also quite an honor for them to sacrifice themselves to the ’Elf King.’” Xu Xin joked, then said seriously, ”Alright, there’s nothing in the treehouse that needs to be taken, right?”

”No, I’ve already packed everything into the backpack.” Qin Fu shook his head.

And then, it was time for the repetitive process.

Enter the treehouse, take out the treehouse core.

Dig out the treehouse seed.

Just like that, this oasis in the desolate forest was turned into a pit-filled wasteland by the three in a matter of minutes.

After all, the trees, shrubs... even the soil was dug out by them.

”Speaking of which, how come you don’t have a single parasitic treehouse?” Lou Fei’Er asked curiously.

Even she had once slain someone from area 188 to take a seed.

If things went smoothly, she would at least have a parasitic treehouse.

But later, she hit a wall with Xu Xin, who packed up both her and all her resources.

Xu Xin was also somewhat puzzled.

Before coming here, he had considered how to deal with parasites.

In the end, aside from Yan Haoming having one parasite named Jin Yue, Zeng Tao and Qin Fu had no parasites.

All were loners.

Zeng Tao had none, which was understandable, given all directions around her treehouse were disconnected, and she lived in a lowly small treehouse.

But Qin Fu’s situation didn’t make sense.

”There weren’t really many people around me either.” Qin Fu shrugged. ”Before, there was only one survivor’s treehouse from area 188 to the east. Although Zhang Daoguang had informed me about the area confrontation, I was always too lazy to move. The other side didn’t make any move either, so we remained at peace.”

”When you explorers gathered recruits, his treehouse collapsed. He probably went to join you. Now he’s either already there, or died on the way; anyway, it has nothing to do with me.”

Too lazy to move, huh?

This guy is really laid-back.

Though thinking about it, it makes sense — there’s at least a ten-kilometer distance between two treehouses, hardly a short walk.

Moreover, when the protection zone first connected, autumn leaves hadn’t begun falling yet, and the low small treehouse was indeed challenging to find.

Most people really wouldn’t bother to move.

It’s quite normal not to be approached by the other side.

Back then, the explorers were warning all area 188 survivors not to go out for long periods and to defend the treehouse carefully against strangers coming over.

He probably listened to Xu Xin and stayed in the treehouse all the time.

”Well, that simplifies things a lot. No need to provide treehouses for parasites anymore.” Xu Xin considered this a good thing.

He didn’t have that many treehouses to provide for extra parasites.

Parasitic treehouses don’t have seeds to dig out; for a parasite to survive, you must provide him with an empty parasitic treehouse.

One Jin Yue is enough; any more would be burdensome.

He even wanted to use parasitic treehouses to connect all the explorer members together.

After finishing all this, he glanced back at the snowy mountain.

He decided to return to the snowy mountain and set up a coordinate by its edge.

Then directly return via the coordinate.

At that time, they could also directly teleport back through the coordinate for climbing and activation.

After retracting Lou Fei’Er and Qin Fu into bracelets again, Xu Xin mounted the wolf.

”Let’s go, Keke.” Xu Xin said to Keke, who stood on the ground, staring in one direction.

He instinctively glanced that way too.

Nothing was there.

”Yip!” Keke climbed onto the wolf’s back, looked that way again, then buried his little head into Xu Xin’s arms.

A few minutes later, he returned to the giant stone pillar peak.

Took out a coordinate, found a relatively hidden spot, and placed the coordinate, connecting it to his treehouse.

Then, he released everyone.

Zeng Tao had already passed her weakest period; although she couldn’t run yet, she could walk freely.

Jin Yue sat on the ground; her legs still showed somewhat terrifying transformation but she wore new clothes, tidied her hair, tied simply behind her, and her complexion had turned rosy from originally pale gray.

With just a simple touch-up, her goddess-like aura shone through.

Although not quite up to Lou Fei’Er’s level, she was already one in a hundred.

”Huh?” Zeng Tao immediately noticed the spinning purple-black vortex. ”Isn’t this your ’coordinate’?”

The fact that he possessed coordinates capable of teleportation had already spread on the world channel.

Even strong figures from other regions left notes on the trading platform wanting to buy his coordinates.

Later, Zhao Xiaochuan and Wang Lei directly left notes on the trading platform to reject them. Moreover, they told them it wouldn’t be useful even if given.

Xu Xin immediately created teleportation bracelets for Qin Fu, Zeng Tao, Jin Yue, and number one.

”Oh right, here you go!” Lou Fei’Er handed each of them a drug to alleviate side effects and informed them about the side effects.

”...I’ve never used a portal before.” Zeng Tao hesitantly reached towards the purple-black vortex, unsure whether to touch it.

”There’s a fixed side effect after mutation, huh.” Qin Fu showed a slightly weary expression. ”That’s a bit distressing.”

Jin Yue looked at the portal with eyes full of tension and suppressed happiness.

Through this door, she could start anew!

”Alright, we should leave.” Xu Xin announced.

Lou Fei’Er stepped through the portal first.

The other three followed closely, touching the purple-black vortex and being instantly absorbed.

Xu Xin entered after all of them went in.

”Yip?”

As Xu Xin stepped in, Keke on his shoulder suddenly glanced back and made a puzzled sound.

Then, was swallowed by the purple-black vortex.

Soon after, the purple-black vortex dissipated, restoring calm to the surroundings.

Then, not far behind a tree, suddenly...

A furry creature’s head appeared!

It turned its head, surveying all around.

Seeing no one showing up anymore, it cautiously stepped out from the tree, walking towards the coordinate.

Standing by the coordinate, it stared straight at the coordinate, pondering something.

After standing for about a minute, it didn’t do anything to the coordinate, directly turning to leave.

It walked into the forest, its figure picking up speed, soon disappearing from sight.
