Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 610: Chapter 416: Elf? _2

Although that crystal hasn’t been used yet.

When they were about twenty kilometers from the snow mountain, Xu Xin’s watch vibrated.

He raised his hand to look, and it was a voice message from Li Wenxi.

As soon as the voice message was connected, Li Wenxi’s delighted voice came over.

”Xu Xin, quickly check the leaderboard, Niu Fugui has made it on the list, he succeeded!”

”Succeeded?” Xu Xin quickly flipped through the leaderboard.

Currently, the number of people who have climbed the snow mountain has risen to thirty-two.

And at this moment, Niu Fugui was ranked thirty-second.

It’s quite normal now for so many people to reach the mountain top, thanks to the strategy provided by Xu Xin and the other pioneers, and there are always strong and daring climbers in other regions.

He unexpectedly found that Zhang Daoguang from zone 187 also appeared on the leaderboard.

He is ranked twenty-eighth.

It seems this person’s ability is quite impressive.

However, on the entire leaderboard, only two names are gray, meaning they climbed through shortcuts; the remaining thirty people all climbed from the outside on their own.

And the two people who climbed through shortcuts both belong to zone 1.

...They should have climbed the snow mountain activated by Shi Wanyun in zone 1.

This Shi Wanyun actually found both shortcuts, she discovered the method.

Anyway, once back, Xu Xin will announce the method and put the red berries out there on the global channel.

It’s winter, and it should come to an end.

Niu Fugui just completed the climb; contacting Xu Xin might take some time.

After all, he doesn’t have a watch and needs to return to the tree house first in order to contact Xu Xin.

More troubling is that in zone 188, the snow layer has completely melted, and the snowboard is unusable; he can only rely on his feet to get back to the tree house.

He hopes to be smart enough to check for any shortcut entrances around before heading back.

”Looks like we’ll soon have the third Transmission Array.” Xu Xin said with a smile.

”Yeah, this way we can gain some more followers.” Li Wenxi was also very happy, ”I didn’t expect the person you occasionally noticed really could climb to the top of the snow peak. Hopefully this winter will pass soon! By the way, what’s going on over there?”

While riding Silver King ahead, Xu Xin chatted with Li Wenxi and then quickly arrived at the destination, the third snow mountain.

”Alright, I’m here. Once I finish up here, I can head straight back. By the way, how is the production of blue-level steel going now?”

”Um, quite okay I guess? Today alone, even without me there, over thirty pieces of blue-level iron ore were produced. Alright, let’s end the chat, I’ve got things to do over here too.”

Ending the call, Xu Xin looked up at the snow peak and twirled his bracelet to release Qin Fu.

Qin Fu seemed to be in much better condition, not looking like someone who’d stayed up for three nights.

”Are we there?” Qin Fu stood up.

”How did you recover so quickly?” Xu Xin asked.

”Borrowed some external help.” Qin Fu took out a blue-level orange, peeled it and started eating while saying, ”The effect of this orange is much weaker than usual, but it’s somewhat useful.”

While he was speaking, he got up from the ground.

Although his weakness was mainly mental, his physical condition wasn’t clear either.

The weak state affects everything; it’s just that the mental aspect is more severe.

Of course, once back, letting them sit in the Red Mist for a few minutes should help a lot.

”See that little hill? My tree house is right over there.” Qin Fu pointed towards one direction.

Xu Xin looked; the distance to the hill wasn’t very close, probably around seven or eight kilometers, but it was much easier for Silver King.

At this point, Qin Fu had finished the orange in his hand and took out another one to peel.

”You’ve got quite a few blue-level fruits, don’t you?” Xu Xin said with some surprise.

”Of course. I am... Hmm? Didn’t I mention it before?” Qin Fu was startled, then looked relieved, ”I guess I really didn’t.”

”...What do you mean?”

”My ability.” Qin Fu took out another orange and threw it to Xu Xin, ”My ability is related to plants; it’s not just using them to observe the surroundings.”

”You can accelerate plant growth?” Xu Xin’s eyes slightly brightened.

”Accelerate... pretty much.” Qin Fu nodded and stuffed a section of orange into his mouth, chewing while saying, ”Whenever I want, I can speed up the growth of a designated plant. But the definition of ’accelerate’ is somewhat inaccurate; I feel like they are my friends, like... asking them to grow up faster? Something like that.”

...Is this even possible?

”Doesn’t it cost anything?” Xu Xin asked while stuffing the orange into Keke’s arms, who had been eyeing it all the time.

”Ying~”

”Well... after long-term ’communicating’ with them, it can be mentally exhausting; does that count?” Qin Fu pointed to his head, ”But it doesn’t require much expenditure.”

”Can you also ask purple-level plants to grow faster?” Xu Xin thought about the weapon in his hand, that purple-level wooden longbow.

”Of course.” Qin Fu nodded, ”That’s how my bow came to be; I’ve spent all my points buying that Land of Harvest.”

”...Did you chop down your friends?”

”Don’t say it like that, it makes me feel guilty.” Qin Fu scratched his head.

A very powerful ability indeed!

Accelerating blue-level plants can be done by all survivors by buying blue-level fertilizer for quick growth.

But not for purple-level plants.

Purple-level fertilizer costs twenty thousand per bag, and everyone is limited to buying only one bag!

Even Xu Xin could only purchase one bag at most!

Zhao Xiaochuan’s side mainly focuses on planting; Xu Xin visited once, and they were considering cultivating the land beneath the tree house after winter for planting.

After all, with more people and fixed residences, hunting has much lower error tolerance than farming.

Despite possible beast tide attacks, future beast tide levels probably won’t be low.

Meat from intermediate and above mutated creatures is no longer edible.

From this perspective, Qin Fu is practically a super strong existence!

Unexpectedly, both Zeng Tao and Qin Fu have abilities much less simple than they seem on the surface.

”So, what’s the name of your ability?” Xu Xin asked.

”Don’t laugh when I say it.” Qin Fu smiled awkwardly, ”It’s called... [Elf King].”

”Ying?” Keke tilted his head to look at him, then continued eating the orange.

Xu Xin: ”...”

Elf King?

Given that he could communicate with plants and also use bows and arrows...

It’s indeed quite similar to the setting of elves on Earth.

Alright then.

Giving Zeng Tao a child’s ability called [General], yet giving Qin Fu an ability named [Elf King].

This world surely has a strange sense of humor when it comes to the allocation of abilities.

”There might actually be creatures like elves in this world.” Qin Fu finished the last slice of orange and casually tossed the peel aside, ”While sensing the surroundings through plants, I seem to have truly sensed some kind of small creature.”

Xu Xin shook his head.

In a world with demonic chaos like the underground world, it’s not surprising to have other minor creature formations.

Such things, who knows?

Bringing Qin Fu into the bracelet, Xu Xin mounted the wolf’s back and headed in the direction he mentioned.
