Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 626: Chapter 426: Entrance to the Underground World? _2

”I’ve seen this passage before,” Xu Xin finally spoke.

”Seen it before?” The others were taken aback.

”Back then, I found the golden treasure chest through this passage,” Xu Xin said. He didn’t mention the underground world.

”Ah!” Wen Guixin’s eyes widened, ”You mean there’s treasure down there?”

”It’s not that simple,” Ji Chaoyang shook his head, ”I don’t know if the scenery below is the same as last time, but...”

If it really leads to the underground world, then once these people go down, they will also learn the secret of this world?

If that’s the case, he somewhat wanted to bring Li Wenxi, and the others over.

Lou Fei’Er had been staring at this entrance for a long time, remained silent for a while, then walked over to Xu Xin and whispered, ”There should be that kind of Red Mist in this tunnel.”

Oh?

There’s Red Mist too?

”How do you know?” Xu Xin asked.

”Although the smell is very faint, for me, even the faintest smell can be detected,” Lou Fei’Er pointed to her nose.

Her words were overheard by the surrounding people.

The others were a bit puzzled, but Ji Chaoyang understood what she meant.

Now, the two could basically confirm it.

This passage probably really connects to the underground world!

The two originally determined to go down, now hesitated a bit.

Should they go down and take a look?

If it’s really the underground world, how long would the climb down take?

”You have new battle power, right?” Ji Chaoyang suddenly turned to Xu Xin, ”Isn’t it called Zeng Tao, want to bring her along? Since you’ve signed a contract, it should be trustworthy, right?”

If they were really going to enter the underground world, naturally, they would bring all the strong battle forces.

”No.” Xu Xin shook his head, ”She’s still in a weak phase now, and...”

This matter can’t involve her, for the time being.

She’s just undergone mutation, and although she’s powerful, her mutation level is low.

This time’s exploration of the underground city will likely involve high-level mutant creatures, which could cause problems for her right now.

So, this time, let’s forget about it.

Let her enhance her Spiritual Power first.

As for Lou Fei’Er...

Xu Xin glanced at her.

Seeing Xu Xin look over, Lou Fei’Er promptly said, ”I think I have no problem, last time was just because I was in a weak phase.”

Lou Fei’Er’s mutation level was already intermediate, and she had consumed numerous spiritual potions.

If not in a weakened state, her Spiritual Power should reach the average level of a normal person.

Xu Xin nodded slightly, ”If we go down, try not to leave my side; if a problem occurs, I can still keep you in the bracelet.”

”So, are you all ready to go down?” Xu Xin turned to the iron gate not far away.

”Let’s go, Brother Xin.” Zhao Xiaochuan nodded, ”We came intending to explore directly.”

The total number was six, the same six who had climbed the snowy mountain earlier.

They were also the best candidates for exploring the underground city.

Not present were Li Wenxi, Qi Xuefei, and the brothers Qin Yunlong and Qin Yunhu.

The first two needn’t be mentioned; naturally, important logistics roles without much battle power shouldn’t be placed in danger.

And the brothers Qin Yunlong and Qin Yunhu, whose abilities related to water, were not much different from ordinary people in the underground city.

Letting the four of them stay outside to oversee the situation is best; the explorers can’t all suddenly disappear.

”No, let’s have two people go down first to check the situation,” Ji Chaoyang began, ”I’ll go down with Xu Xin initially.”

Ji Chaoyang didn’t recommend everyone going down together.

Below could be very dangerous.

It’s better for the two of them to go down and check things out first.

There’s only one single-person passage in total; lining up to go down is indeed unnecessary if something goes wrong, like before, with Red Mist surging upward...

In such a case, having many people would only be a burden, better for one person to go down.

”You two going down?” Wang Lei thought it was unsuitable, ”Climbing the ladder together is indeed a bit inappropriate, how about Brother Xin keeps us in the bracelet?”

”Not good.” Xu Xin shook his head, ”If anything suddenly happens to me, and I can’t release you in time, all of you might end up buried underground along with the bracelet.”

People in the bracelet can’t emerge on their own; taking a team into a potentially dangerous underground exploration isn’t a wise choice.

”Better let me go down, my skills are better than you two, aren’t they? Didn’t you admit that?” Wen Guixin stepped closer and took a glance into the tunnel.

”No, we’ve walked this path once before,” Ji Chaoyang replied, ”We’re probably the most suitable.”

”We’ll go down first to check things out, if needed, we’ll let you know to come down,” Xu Xin pointed at his watch, ”If the watch loses signal, we will come back up.”

Everyone exchanged glances.

They knew Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang had experienced events restricted by the world; the two might know what’s down there and want to test it.

But letting these two key figures go down together, what if something happens...

”Let me go down instead,” Lou Fei’Er suddenly offered, ”My body tells me what’s down there isn’t dangerous for me; it’s even... attractive.”

She gazed down, eyes bright, even a bit eager.

Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang both turned to her.

Her words were indeed intriguing.

What’s down there that’s attracting her?

However, she indeed was a suitable candidate.

If something occurs, her speed to climb back up would be very fast.

But...

”You want to go down alone...?” Xu Xin frowned.

Lou Fei’Er’s Spiritual Power was still relatively unstable.

He couldn’t guarantee Lou Fei’Er was entirely fine.

”...Better have you and her go down together,” Ji Chaoyang suggested, ”Letting her descend alone could be problematic; with you there, it should be fine, especially if... you know some of the situations below.”

Indeed.

If she encounters a problem, Xu Xin can still keep her in the bracelet.

If she doesn’t have issues but the cave below becomes dangerous, Xu Xin can retreat into the bracelet, and she can carry the bracelet upward.

Her speed is much faster than his.

Xu Xin shared his thoughts with the group, which ultimately convinced them.

This way, it wouldn’t put both him and Ji Chaoyang at risk simultaneously.

Additionally, Xu Xin’s safety could be somewhat ensured.

”All right, let’s proceed,” Xu Xin ruffled Keke’s little head, making Keke squeal.

Even without Lou Fei’Er present, with Keke’s presence and today’s hearing augmentations, Xu Xin felt confident he wouldn’t encounter problems.

He first had Silver King, who was sprawled by the giant pit, jump down into it, keeping it and Mimi within the bracelet.

The two consumed all the amplification-type blue-grade fruits, then nodded to the group, turning to enter the passage with Lou Fei’Er, one after another.
