Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1294: Chapter 1085: Clearing the Battlefield and Preparing to Intercept

Although I don’t know why Tiamat chose such a foolish course, Shaer had no intention of holding back; not going all out was but a small vestige of her restraint.

Initially, if the dragon continued to delay, the Lady of the Night had no objections... Listening to the praises of her admirer resound endlessly, singing till dawn, was a romantic affair for her.

But since the Chromatic Dragon Queen chose to interrupt her romance, Shaer... naturally would make her demise more miserable.

She sang softly, her red lips beneath the hood enticingly parting: the Eternal Darkness combined with Dark Arts were released, freezing the entire castle with an intensely cold aura of darkness, including the erupting lava.

Tiamat, jolted awake by the chilling aura, turned abruptly... Had she not been accustomed to battling with Bahamut, who excelled at the Ice Cone Technique, she wouldn’t have reacted so quickly.

She indeed desired that long chain, but according to Tiamat’s original plan, she was first to claw at the Dragonskin Book in Shaer’s hand... After all, by her usual style, aiming for the crown would be normal, catching Shaer off guard.

But not going for the Divine Artifact at all, even if Tiamat had internally given up, she couldn’t show it—otherwise, wouldn’t that be too cowardly!

She! The great Chromatic Dragon Queen! Undying enemy of All Gods!

How could she not dare to struggle even a bit because Shaer was her nemesis?

Without realizing that due to the Feeblemind Spell, she’d placed her ultimate target in her first move, Tiamat was a bit infuriated... Damn it, she’s not afraid of the cold!

Then she quickly turned her head, with three blue scales and two red, starting to spew fire and lightning!

Facing Tiamat’s full assault, though Shaer appeared indifferent, the sudden flash and disappearance of that Anmur noble beside her revealed she’d indeed exerted all her strength.

Shaer’s eyes beneath the cloak shimmered with deep purple... She was observing the whereabouts of that Anmur noble.

This space fluctuation was so obvious, the distance seemed quite far!

This didn’t seem like heading towards Anmur.

Nor was the Thief’s Stone used, but it also wasn’t a Dimensional Gate.

Divine Power teleportation?

Feeling the long distance, Shaer standing on the castle’s top floor turned to look southeast... The Giant Valley, perhaps?

Then she had to turn to face the crazed Chromatic Dragon Queen.

Tiamat moved swiftly, rushing towards the cloaked woman opposite, even using her tail... There was no choice; though the mischievous Shaer seemed uninterested in the Mithril Long Chain, she simply sent a gust of wind blowing all the jewelry on the ground away.

Tiamat had given up struggling for dignity, but she would never abandon her jewels!

Especially since Shaer also blew some gemstone rings and other trinkets in that direction, she just needed an opportunity!

Perhaps some residual effects of the Feeblemind Spell remained... Otherwise, a normal Tiamat would never be this obstinately fixated.

If she abandoned these, raiding the Moonshadow Archipelago might yield far greater rewards.

Shaer was there for the Divine Artifact, and naturally would leave after snatching it; could it be she would assist Shantia’s followers?

Not sending Tiamat any buff enhancements was due to the Lady of the Night’s rare kindness.

But now the Chromatic Dragon Queen could think of nothing, her eyes fixated solely on those jewels.

Shaer quickly realized that the giant dragon before her wasn’t targeting her.

At any rate, the desired Divine Artifact was already obtained, so she instinctively held back... If Tiamat were thrown onto the Great Land of Ferun, she could undoubtedly stir up dozens of massive disturbances, possibly even destroying some countries.

For Shaer, causing disaster and misfortune across Toril was almost instinctual, requiring no thought.

But realizing her position and the live streaming tool behind her, her paused singing resumed after a few seconds... The Lady of the Night regretfully glanced at the colorful giant lizard... Well then, let her get that chain before she dies!

Spare some effort now, so next time this foolish creature can be of use.

The Art of Dim-Wittedness seemed quite effective on the giant dragon; Shaer sensed the lifeforce drawn by the dark tendrils encircling her... Tiamat astonishingly didn’t notice despite her movements being slowed!

Could it be this striped dragon was so accustomed to Bahamut’s freezing that she assumed her slowed actions were merely due to the freezing effect?

Shaer changed to the Night Singer state, not just to let William hear her sing, but because only the spells summoned by the Singer could fully merge these tendrils into the dark night, unseen by anyone.

As a Dancer, the inherent black light easily caused a reflective state... which instead slightly revealed the tendrils.

Out of kindness, Shaer waited a full ten seconds before slightly parting her lips to summon ’Dark Beam’ after ’Dark Beam’ with the firmest song.

Long, linear beams of black light struck Tiamat, who clutched the jewels, the Chromatic Dragon Queen using her last will to send the jewels into her Dimensional Space... She didn’t care whether this might trigger a Magicplague Storm!

It would be best if a Primordial Storm could blow away that annoying and troublesome Goddess of the Night!

Just before the incarnation was about to disappear, Tiamat finally realized she had been hit by a Feeblemind Spell and roared furiously, ”I will have my revenge! Shaer! I will definitely have my revenge!”

Shaer, who had reverted back to the posture of a Night Dancer, was calm and tranquil in her tone, ”Why don’t... after you return to Hell, find a way to counter the Feeblemind Spell first?

The Lord of Hell should be able to help you, right?”

Tiamat only had time to leave behind the most vulgar curse words of Toril before disappearing into the night.

Shaer smiled as she looked at the castle on the verge of collapse, gently turned around, and gracefully walked into the darkness.

After she left, only then did the castle’s surroundings, devoid of starlight, return to the embrace of the moon and stars... However, the East seemed to show a faint, rose-colored Light of Dawn.

Having been lurking at the bottom of the sea, observing the nearby situation, Arausato finally let out a long breath, released a stream of bubbles to the surface, and then immediately proceeded with the longing he had suppressed since arriving here.

He stretched his long neck as far as possible, approached an Undead who’s digging rocks on the seabed, and asked, ”What are you guys... doing? You’ve been collecting all night!

Even after Shaer valiantly fought the Evil Dragon, such an amusing affair hasn’t been observed.”

The Undead was startled at first by the suddenly approached large head, ”凸(艹皿艹)!”

After realizing who it was, he quickly relaxed his tone, ”Arausato! You’re so agile in the water, completely without any movement!”

He muttered a couple of sentences, ’I thought the alarm was broken,’ ’It’s best for allies to have a reminder,’ then grinned and told the White Dragon, ”These metals from the broken Puppet Dragons are wanted by Hill! They’re being collected at mithril price~”

Arausato hesitated for a moment, then suddenly kicked his feet, skyrocketed like an arrow, and rapidly flew towards the castle.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ on the Magic Ship, while tallying the battle report, glanced up for a moment and then messaged his family members, ”Arausato has rushed towards the castle from the sea, there must be large chunks of metal inside, he must have seen it.”

You all can go have a look, but remember to keep your distance.

You can’t rely on the White Dragon to maintain sanity when it comes to gold coins.

Then he began estimating the time it would take for the Anmur Navy to arrive... The Anmur people actually sent their navy over.

Which meant, apart from those who died in the Vampire Castle on Snowfall Island, there definitely were other individuals important to Anmur needing rescue.

The Anmur noble who escaped, on the contrary, may not be the main target.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ inquired through ’Old Age Striking King’ with several Sorcerers of Toril, and understood... The method for Anmur nobles to escape long distances demands a high personal requirement, even then, an Eighth Ring Mage might get lost halfway.

For example, his target might be a Magic Tower in Giant Valley, but due to a misstep, he ended up in the strong arms of the Goblin Chief God.

The Undead Tribe undoubtedly knew the mage’s whereabouts... what Shaer knows, William surely knows.

He immediately requested the Undead Tribe camp on the steep cliff at Yinbutu, overlooking the neighboring Giant Valley woodland, to monitor the Giant Valley’s movement and see which Magic Tower welcomed this white light from afar.

For those with significantly higher importance, they wouldn’t resort to such means unless they were transcendents... plus, the missing Mystra fragments are yet to show any trace!

It’s conceivable they’re still on Snowfall Island, waiting for the Anmur Navy to create enough stir to timely break free.

”Found Elaströ and her group.” Susu rushed over, ”When Shaer was singing, the place they were hiding in showed intense magic fluctuations.

Upon discovering it’s them, we didn’t make a move.

But the people Anmur wants to retrieve still haven’t been found.”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ raised his chin slightly, ”Where’s Manks?”

”On the little island at the rear, didn’t come to Snowfall Island at all.” Susu replied, ”Someone went collecting garbage there and discovered her car transformed into a ship.”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ nodded, ”We will only collect garbage temporarily, remember, let the Anmur Navy act first.

Bring out all the White Dragons.

Have all the Chromatic Dragons fled?

Ensure Terry and Tasding’s safety... ah, stay far away, when they’re collecting trash, they definitely won’t recognize anyone.”

”Got it.” Susu replied, ”Purwell is watching from the sky! Should anything happen, they can likely be retracted in time.

The person chatting with Terry mentioned that Master Fran is inside.”

”What’s the story with the rampaging Otherworldly Whale? Did Terry say anything?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ pointed towards the whale leaping and diving in the distant sea, surrounded by Undead who nearly began throwing rocks at it, ”How did he manage to escalate things while collecting garbage?”
