Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1287: Chapter 1078: The Chromatic Dragons’ Battle

The colossal five-colored dragons dove down without hesitation, except for the seven most powerful chromatic dragons... Though they are called chromatic dragons, having multiple colors is quite common. For example, two dragons among the colorful dragons in brown and yellow also followed... Aside from those personally appointed by her, the others, despite stirring for a while, obediently stayed in place.

For the chromatic dragons, even though they know their companions won’t get anything good... Tiamat’s five heads are quite astute in this respect, and that’s not just five times the sense of smell... But these few dragons permitted to follow, although facing some risks, would still earn a little... However, to gain not even a copper coin themselves, it’s really torturous!

The chromatic dragons have never trusted their queen’s dragon qualities but never doubted her power. Even if those dragons entering the castle might get hurt, they certainly won’t be fatal.

No one is going to die, of course, gold coins are more important!

The eyes of countless chromatic dragons blazed fiercely... They must outlive that fellow next door, and the next time such an opportunity arises, perhaps it will be him who is summoned inside!

The metal dragons did not react much.

Though their eyes revealed some envy... But for the good-aligned dragons with a slight image burden, they are not capable of competing against colorful riffraff for a few gold coins in front of Bahamut and countless elves who can’t keep secrets... Mainly because they are certain, without the help of the Platinum Dragon God, they cannot possibly compete against Tiamat.

However, the Silvermoon Dragon Queen was slightly at a loss, there’s no way that after seeing her son trailing amidst a group of white dragons, turning his head left and right, any Golden Dragon would not gasp!

The chromatic dragons are now watching the castle, but most of the metal dragons are actually observing the recently matured golden and mercury dragons being well-protected by several ancient white dragons.

The discussions on whose children they are are endless... The dragons believe they are communicating in low tones, but it isn’t much different from shouting across half the castle.

If not for Tasding accompanying Terry to climb on the ancient white dragon’s body, peering around, Velara Malendith might have joined forces with her silver dragon husband Diszedroten to give their son a mixed doubles hit!

They certainly don’t care about whether they have any private relationship with the chromatic dragons... Tch, older metal dragons all have had a ’friend’ among chromatic dragons who did mischief with them, perhaps even helped dispose of stolen goods!

Humans would definitely not keep secrets for the dragons, regardless of the matter... Even the Harpists are eager to communicate and boast about dragon stories... In their hearts, the subjects they insist on keeping secret are always humans.

However, it’s different for dragons. As long as there is money to be made, they will absolutely remain silent... The key is to find this ’friend’ carefully, ensuring that they can forever keep him under their claws for some thrashing.

After a long time cooperating, friendship naturally builds, sometimes those chromatic dragons even concede a bit... This is an absolute good friend.

Diszedroten and Velara Malendith have their own territories in The North, and they each definitely have such friends... Moreover, their couple’s friends have also appeared in the sky opposite.

But who would show goodwill towards the other in front of Bahamut and Tiamat?

Is it that Bahamut’s Sunflame Spell wasn’t intense enough, or Tiamat’s Acid Rain wasn’t calm enough?

Velara Malendith observed secretly for a long time, discovering that Bahamut only glanced strangely at the oddly composed dragon group, without any other actions... Moreover, Tiamat even called one of the white dragons to follow him into the vampire castle!

Although she didn’t know why these two dragon gods took special interest in giant dragons from the Agleya territory... The Silvermoon Dragon Queen didn’t think that she and Diszedroten have the face for such favor, even counting both their parents together, it’s impossible.

But after exchanging a few glances with her husband, Velara Malendith still eased her mind slightly. Her only son doesn’t seem likely to be turned back into a dragon egg to hatch again... Neither Bahamut nor Tiamat would kill a newly matured dragon cub directly, but letting them experience the troubles of growth again is fine.

The Silvermoon Dragon Queen sighed silently... Once the Path of Destiny ends, she definitely wants to go to Agleya and give her son a good thump!

Diszedroten, in contrast to his wife, kept his focus on the ancient white dragon called over by Tiamat... And was quite impressed with the strongest giant dragon present around his son... Although golden dragons have intelligent minds and are brave in battle, silver dragons believe they tend to be impulsive, Velara Malendith included.

Otherwise, during the Dragon Madness, the most powerful golden dragons wouldn’t have died the most... If Terry weren’t mysteriously lucky, picking up many dragon eggs that all hatched into little golden dragons, the quantity of metal dragons on the Ferun might have been the least in golden dragon numbers!

Learning a bit more from those old silver coins, Terry is bound to live longer, Diszedroten exhaled happily, a wisp of dragon fire accumulated in his mouth since Terry’s arrival flickered splendidly mid-air... The shrewd silver dragon gentleman was ready that if Bahamut showed any discontent towards Terry, he’d burn his son to charcoal first.

Anyway, undead priests would surely be willing to heal their verbally adorable little golden dragon. Besides, the Lord of Agleya is famed for his healing spells... Just taking a stroll in that city, even an ordinary person would feel much healthier.

The mist spread throughout the city obviously didn’t carry any healing spells, yet it naturally had a bit of healing power.

At first, people in the Ferun Great Land thought it was the Holy Water Pool in front of the Agleya Temple that had merged into the mist, but later they discovered it was the skill of that Mage Lord himself.

No wonder All Gods were so courteous to him. Who knows which big shot from the Natural Divine System had a moment with Coron.

The giant dragons weren’t above gossiping... Of course, they weren’t the only ones in Toril guessing who Coron’s fling was... When facing Coron, should Hill call her grandma or grandpa?

The issue of skipping generations was confirmed by everyone since Coron personally mentioned the lineage descendant, a real son wouldn’t say that.

Otherwise, why would such a powerful Nature Mage never be visited by anyone from the Natural Divine System at Agleya?

Even though the Nature Gods were dying of curiosity about the Lord of Agleya, they wouldn’t let their reputation be soiled by being associated with Coron... That couple really has a peculiar knack for similar styles~

Diszedroten was earnestly gazing at the Vampire Castle below... As a rare powerfully renowned figure among Silver Dragons, he was, of course, at the forefront... but his mind was wandering.

If anyone knew what he was thinking, even with a group of Silver Dragons behind him, he’d probably be skinned and turned into a rug.

Arausato was indeed the mightiest Ancient White Dragon in Toril, dutifully following behind Tiamat as a representative of White Dragons.

Compared to other forward-charging Chromatic Dragons, he was particularly cautious, having no intention of leading, even drawing a graceful white arc in the air to forcefully squeeze himself into the second to last position entering the castle—he wasn’t even willing to hold the rear.

True, White Dragons capable of living long can use their wits to overcome instinct.

Both dragons and humans who saw his especially fluid movements couldn’t help but smile slightly: No wonder that even during the Dragon Madness, Arausato could seize the Magic Tower in Luskan while feigning madness... The key point is he even coordinated with three other dragons.

Who’d believe he was really insane?

However, the owner of that Magic Tower was an Undead Sorcerer, left behind as a backup by the exiled people who were expelled from Sel... Exiles who couldn’t even stay in their country certainly lacked the capacity to seek revenge on this Ancient White Dragon.

Who would care about the grudges of a pack of strays?

Years ago, there were many Magic Towers in The North, but Arausato only set his sights on the one in Luskan, not without reason, he had long guessed no one would initiate a revenge battle.

Arausato walked a few steps in the hall, fully versed in the structure of these Northern castles... To better rob them, he and Elvia had captured quite a few builders to give them detailed explanations of what each room could be used for, most importantly, what it might be converted into with magic.

He glanced at Tiamat, who rushed to the master’s room at the top floor while stepping on the floors, causing them to collapse... The Chromatic Dragon Queen wasn’t stepping idly, she positioned a yellow dragon head at the edge, a color adept at Earth Magic, very skilled at sifting through dirt and sand for what they desired.

Though straightforward and rough, it certainly fits Tiamat’s usual style... and it also helps flush out and spray dead those small bats hidden in corners.

And although the Chromatic Dragon Queen made big moves, she smartly strengthened some of the castle’s supporting pillars, so the seemingly tottering castle somehow held up.

Even if a few small bats survived, they were forced into a few fixed areas... conveniently one dragon per area for Chromatic Dragons summoned by Tiamat.

Arausato didn’t plan to compete with those guys, sensibly choosing a position the dragons didn’t want... Tsk, he just wanted to stay unscathed.

For an Ancient White Dragon that can easily make thousands of a gold coin from the Undead Tribe, he was no longer the foolish dragon he once was, bent on making money!

Of course, if there was no danger in picking up money, he certainly wouldn’t pass up the opportunity.

He leisurely walked into that area, somewhat unsure of how to comment on those idiotic dragons that had lived for tens of thousands of years... In an undead castle, the kitchen area indeed didn’t have much good stuff, but if you really found good things there, were they meant for yourself?
