Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1264: Chapter 1055: Departure! Ningbrol Island

Leonard fell into contemplation.

However, Nasir, who was sitting beside ‘Hard Wind’, frowned and looked at Edna… his eyes full of confusion and hesitation.

Elvia suddenly shouted: “We’re on the sea now! Edna! Is the island pointed to by the chess piece you got far from here?”

Nasir looked up sharply: “What chess piece?”

Edna smiled and patted the back of the White Dragon Queen, then turned her head and said: “I got it from the Haber Family. After checking it, it should be the controller of the Nimbrol Astrolabe.”

“Ah!” Nasir exclaimed in surprise, “That best instrument of war? The star disc that can teleport Magic Towers throughout Toril?

After the Kingdom of Nibro fell due to the Dawn Calamity, that floating island controlled by the Puzzle Lock has never been seen again!

Every Mage King of Harua spent untold efforts searching for this Divine Artifact… Behind most pirate-like adventuring groups controlled by mages in Sword Bay is Harua!

They who once used that thing year-round, wasted so much manpower and resources to no avail. How did the Haber Family get that controller?”

“Who knows?” Edna spread her hands, “However, they could kidnap the Princess of Eternity Island and send her to Mark City, so killing some refugees who escaped from Nibro seems normal?”

Nasir nodded thoughtfully: “That is true. It seems Mark City has placed quite a few chess pieces in Toril!”

Then he quickly perked up: “Hehe, if it’s the Lady of Pain, then it has nothing to do with us mortals… Even my lord probably won’t bother with matters of Mark City!

That falls under the great God Above Gods’ domain, may he have good fortune in cleaning away those dirty hands reaching in from outside.”

‘Hard Wind’ completely ignored these exchanges among Toril people, his fingers flying rapidly across the tablet… almost leaving an afterimage.

No one wanted to disturb him.

Although the Undead Tribe left ‘Hard Wind’ on the cliff here because of his good command ability and quick thinking… quickly coming up with solutions when encountering problems.

‘Hard Wind’ indeed managed to adapt on the fly… but at the cost of leaving himself covered in scars.

When they first squatted at the spot on the cliff, to prevent Devis, Luca, and Soma’s lower level followers from being hit by boulders falling from overhead, as a High-level Knight, ‘Hard Wind’ had to stand on the outermost layer with a Great Shield and Shield Wall… although he wasn’t seriously injured, black and blue were unavoidable.

The appearance of the Undead Tribe’s injury was a bit strange… there didn’t seem to be any boulders hitting ‘Hard Wind’s head, but somehow, he still got a black eye.

At first, it was okay, but after flying out of those raging waves and seeing his new appearance on the calm sea, ‘Hard Wind’ couldn’t control his urge to rage, and kept cursing the Old Dog on the Undead Tribe’s communicator.

Even Nasir tried to avoid looking at ‘Hard Wind’ when talking… ‘Hard Wind’s White Dragon was more determined, its neck always stretching forward, eyes unblinkingly watching Elvia.

“Oghma has disappeared.” Unaffected by the chatting above, Luca from Candlekeep said regretfully, “Those books are gone too, I haven’t finished reading them!”

“Followers of the God of Knowledge will build another Great Library in the future, maybe with the same name!” Devis consoled him, “We’re still so young, there will always be opportunities.”

“Alas!” Luca still seemed reluctant, “Damn, I only got to read half of Gond’s Book! This tool book from the God of Craftsmen only appears in Oghma’s library!”

As followers of Azuth, their demand for spells on the Ferun Great Land wasn’t high… the Azuth Sect, which likes sharing knowledge of spells, basically has everything.

As long as it’s publicly published spells… even if some are confidential, if a mage from the Azuth Sect deduced them, they end up the same way… all appearing in their encyclopedia.

Though Luca doesn’t have a real-time updating subartifact-level Magic Book like Devis, if he wants to learn any spell, he just needs to apply in the Magic Tower… Azuth’s Magic Tower never rejects anyone wanting to learn spells, but whether one learns well, or ends up learning themselves silly or exploding their head, no one cares.

Therefore, Luca cared more about the books on Strange Objects manufacturing and Alchemy production. Quel Senta’s Magic Tower really doesn’t have much of these books and knowledge.

He sighed in regret: “Although we can definitely see them in the future, but…”

“Hill definitely copied them.” Elvia, hearing his muttering, said looking down, “The folks at Candlekeep made nearly a million Gold Coins from our Lord of Agleya!

I estimate that except for Knight novels and Bard travelogues, Hill copied all the books.”

Hill, who was mentioned, blinked.

Though not all, he did copy some of the older Knight novels.

As for Bard travelogues… considering Lynn, he basically copied every single one.

These ordinary books were given a 50% discount by Candlekeep, only costing 50 Gold Coins each!

Given their cheap price, Hill surely wanted to collect them all!

After all, he had long suspected Candlekeep might face bad luck, so when the Magicplague began, Hill placed a large number of orders with them… Edna has grown up, even the most sluggish scribes finished their work.

If Candlekeep hadn’t exploded even earlier than he estimated, Hill probably would have managed to get those remaining too.

“Oghma has just left directly!” Celene asked curiously, craning her neck. “Isn’t he wasting his divine power?”

“What are you thinking?” Shaer sat back in her black veil lounge chair, speaking with a cold tone, “Do you think maintaining the Void Gate is easy?

He also had to take Ullant’s soul away. Being able to hold on until now is all thanks to the ample divine power he left in Toril!

Otherwise, how could he not even dare to consider things a bit longer?”

Hill suddenly understood. No wonder Oghma so easily reached an agreement with Shaer; he had to make the decision he deemed most appropriate in the shortest time… Even if there were traps in Shaer’s words, at least he could be sure he wasn’t being framed, and that was enough.

“Don’t be fooled by his indifferent appearance; who knows how many prophecies and simulations his actual form in the Divine Kingdom has gone through!” Lansendel said, lying on the ground in boredom. “The only reason Shaer dares to speak like this is that she knows AO would never let Oghma fully understand!

Mist~ Mist~ The Stellar Realm is filled with mist~

Heh heh~ Who knows how many guys in the Stellar Realm are frantically prophesying about this Path of Destiny!

Without knowing anything, who would even dare to play?!”

Celene said carelessly, “More will just keep joining in.

This time, although AO seems to have many demands on the deities regarding the Path of Destiny… But what’s a divine power network?

Didn’t a few gods die every previous time?

But this time, he didn’t control Edna’s free travels; he just kept setting traps and enticing the deities to act.

You see, although these ones sacrificed the divine power network, they’ve all safely passed!

As long as they don’t die, ambition will explode.

Just don’t know who the old man plans to test this time… Is there another betrayer in the Toril Pantheon?”

Hill looked blankly at the Maiden of the Moon, wondering why she could speak so lightly about something so important.

Could it be that Toril is not only accustomed to its own people’s chaos but also to their betrayal?

On the sea, Edna and her group decided to look for Ningbrol Island… Too many things have happened lately, and they wanted to relax a bit.

Although Elvia was a bit distressed about the gold and silver jewelry that might be divided, thinking of the Haber Family who had gone there long ago, she didn’t think there would be much left besides the massive Ningbrow Astrolabe.

At most, there might be some minerals… The Mage Kingdom of Ningbro was once famous for its rich resources.

If it were before, the White Dragon Queen would have certainly chosen to dominate this territory herself, but now, everything requiring long-term guarding has lost its meaning.

It’s better to share it with the Undead Tribe… Elvia was quite confident in the mining speed of the Undead Tribe.

And according to the rules set by His Majesty William of the Undead Tribe, if Ningbrol Island belongs to Edna, then one-tenth of the mined ore must be given as tax.

Elvia is not afraid to pay upfront now… it’s better than just watching others mine.

Not only can she get a bit of something, but she can also distract the quick-minded Nasir, making the White Dragon Queen feel very clever.

She contentedly flew southwest according to Edna’s directions.

Leonard chuckled at Luca below, saying, “After this journey ends, I’ll take you to find Lynn; he should be able to lend us that book.

Hill is always generous, don’t worry!”

Edna clapped her hands forcefully: “Just as well, no one is following us from behind, and the road ahead isn’t too easy… sigh, this section of the cliff collapsed into the sea; the sea conditions around Sword Bay are likely to change again.

Hopefully, once we leave Ningbrol Island, everything will be back to normal.

‘Hard Wind,’ when will Sanda King and her team come over?”

“Baldy has taken our Black Rose speedboat.” ‘Hard Wind’ sighed, “At Elvia’s current speed, they’ll probably catch up with us in two hours.

But, the old dog didn’t expect Ullant to fall in less than a day… otherwise, they wouldn’t have been so nervous to add extra gunpowder to everything… Both families were called to Candlekeep, trying to find some work for them there, so they probably won’t come.”

Edna couldn’t help but laugh: “What can be done then?”

“No worries.” ‘Hard Wind’ said indifferently, “Getting scolded is a common thing for him.

As long as he doesn’t repeatedly issue false alarms, at most, he’ll just get beaten up on the way a few times.”
